Skeith Day Special

Skeith Scandal
by exanomaly

note: this poem was found scribbled in the margins of a chewed-up library copy of the "Malkus Vile Book"

Of all the petty pilferers,
of all the dastards' deeds,
the vilest swindler I recall
was a Skeith among small thieves.

A pet of massive appetite,
he covets all he sees -
from the glitter of a neopoint
to the crowns of royalty.

It might've been his nature,
to let greed cloud up his head,
yet even the most miserly
might say - it's bold to rob the dead!

I wonder if King Coltzan's ghost
haunts him even still -
there are days his unknown whereabouts
creep on me like a chill...

That cursed note, signed M.V.,
his clawprints in the sand ...
"you know where to find me!"
Alas! he still walks free upon this land.

I've tracked down stolen gifts, chewed-up books,
followed the tallest of Meerca tales
(his thieves-in-arms are quite adept
at throwing me off his tail! err ... trail.)

Of all the crooked Neo-crims,
of all the villain files,
of all the disappearances,
the one that drives me wild
is that I can't find the whereabouts
of a big, fat, cheeky, greenish-yellow Skeith:
that loafish, oafish, burns-me-the-mostish,
wicked rascal, Malkus Vile!

Skeith Back to School Outfit
by indulgences

It’s time for going back to school!
This outfit will impress!
Your Skeith will surely turn some heads.
Your Skeith will be best dressed!

The School Shirt made of cotton white
Is graced with yellow tie.
A pocket with a bright blue pen
It's swank, you can’t deny!

The School Pant is of crimson plaid,
And strapped with belt of black.
It’s trendy, and so very chic.
Of style, it has no lack!

The Shoes are hued a modest brown,
And sturdy on the feet.
They’re strong, and they are built to last.
They’re simple, plain and neat!

The Glasses are the final touch.
They’re graced with lenses wide.
They fit upon your Skeith’s small nose,
And make your Skeith sharp-eyed!

How fine this lovely outfit is!
Please buy one for your pet!
This outfit will delight your Skeith,
The coolest outfit yet!

Don't Forget to Feed Your Skeith
by candyplague

don't forget to feed your skeith
no matter what you do
for if it slips your mind enough
they'll eat your Strong Forever Glue

your inventory is fair game
as far as a skeith's concerned
your Paint Brush could be gone in a bite -
all that's left; a lesson learned

a hungry skeith's a danger indeed
to a Warf, Spyder, or Slorg
a skeith cares not for your petpets
if they can re-enact Feed Florg

so remember to feed your skeith
preferably right on time
or you may find they'll eat anything
even your poem's final rh

The Hulking Wraith: A Misunderstood Skeith
by _brainchild_

That Hulking Wraith is one mean Skeith!
From jaws containing pointed teeth
To claws so sharp, he's oh so fierce!
My shield will easily be pierced.

He's very big; he tramples me!
He stomps atop my foot with glee.
Somehow, I have to best this foe,
Though fear just makes me want to go!

He snaps my lovely sword in half.
How will I win? I can't fight back!
Just when my fate seems ghastly, I
Have found a way to dodge demise!

Hey, strength in numbers is the key!
Some others come to fight with me.
Our horde will surely send this beast
Away. His rage will surely cease.

What's this? A monster he is not!
This ugly creature that we fought
Is actually a normal Skeith.
A curse made him the enemy.

He thanks us for returning him
To decent form. His mess so grim
Evaporated when we beat
His force while fighting. What a feat!

Bank Manager Skeith
by neoreturnee

Bank Manager,
Bank Manager,
He's not the Yurble janitor!
He's the Skeith Bank Manager!

Trust him with your Neopoints,
Trust him,
It's in your interest!
To show your interest.
He'll give you some interest.
From Junior Saver,
To Ultimate Riches!

Good morning sir,
Good afternoon mam,
I hope you have a happy Skeith day!

The Mighty Skeith
by hiasaki

The mighty, tough Skeith is many things,
though most of you may not know.
Their gluttony may be world-renowned,
but they have so much more to show!

Although their appetite is large indeed,
there’s much more to like in this pet.
They’re strong and smart, wise and kind;
a friend you will never regret.

Skeiths are the largest of all in Neopia,
with a strength to shake the land.
Though their power is a force to behold,
they’d rather be snoozing in the sand.

With amazing eyesight and razor teeth,
they have nothing to fear or dread.
Even though they’d be hard to beat,
Skeiths prefer to play games instead.

If you’ve ever wanted a Skeith for a friend,
what better time to find one than today?
They may occasionally eat a nerkmid or two,
but the fun makes it worth that, I’d say!

The Skeith Banker
by xxskyisfallingxx

A Green Skeith stands behind the counter
Of the National Neopian Bank.
The only 'pet in the teller line;
A suit-and-tie of the highest rank.

"Good morning, sir! Good morning, ma'am!
Would you like to open an account?
It's a great place to store neopoints
No matter how large or small the amount."

The Skeith has great customer service,
But he is more than a simple cashier.
He's the brains of the operation
And the brawn when trouble comes near.

He spends hours alone in the vaults,
Toiling to count your vast sums of gold,
Calculating your interest,
And awarding you riches untold.

He gives you a safety deposit box
For things you don't want REs to take:
Be it to avoid the Pant Devil
Or a "donation" to Kiko Lake.

And if you ever have a problem,
The Skeith is quick to reimburse.
With a free toaster and free money,
It won't feel like such a curse.

Many people think Skeiths are lazy.
Some Skeiths are, but not this one.
So pay the Banker a visit on Skeith Day
And give him a cake for all that he's done!

Smiles at the National Neopian
by pandacat838

Skeiths are known for their appetite, and maybe their size,
Countless plates of food or a buffet – for some, there’s no bigger prize.

But believe me when I say, that’s not what has my eye,
I have places to be, checks to certify, thieves to identify.

All of Neopia knows of one bank manager, and that is me,
Guarding your treasures and wealth, for only I have the key.

Your daily interest? Why, yes, that’s up to me to calculate.
I make the rules and give my customers the very best rate.

Daily withdraw limits? Of course, I look after that too.
Someone must make sure you don’t take more than what you can chew.

Here in Neopia, there is no one with a job like mine,
And yes, I’m here twenty-four seven, well beyond nine-to-nine.

When you need funds for candy and stamps, there’s no need to pout.
No matter the time, the occasion, I’m here to help you out.

All I ask, on your next visit to the bank, please bring your biggest smile!
And for you, and you, and all of Neopia too – I’ll go the extra mile!

Gordos, the Master of Gold
by swordlilly

The folks of Altador remember him well:
Counting with his careful claws,
Keeping his neat accounting book,
Checking names with barely a pause.

Many a moneybag was given to him,
But Gordos the Collector never stole.
He went knocking steadily, door to door,
Checking names off his neat ribboned scroll.

A bulky and imposing figure was he,
The orange Skeith weighed down with coin.
His tail-spikes glittered wherever he went;
No one from him dared purloin.

And yet when he placed the pieces of gold
In the king's great treasure vault,
His touch was soft like the gentlest smile.
The king never found a fault.

To thank him for his loyal service,
Altador named him to the council of Twelve.
And to this day his statue stands,
Showing him smiling, hand on his helve.

Siliclast, Scourge of the Lost Desert
by precious_katuch14

In the heart of the Lost Desert,
The Temple of the Sky is overrun.
With monsters and golems about,
Traversing it is no fun!

Guarding the Celestial Talisman,
Ruling these Temple ruins,
A Skeith of stone holds sway,
Siliclast is the golems' king.

He raises his fist in challenge
And causes the floor to shake.
Don't get too close to him
Lest his terrible wrath wake!

Impervious, solid to the touch,
Siliclast is not easily fazed.
With rock muscles and strange magic,
He leaves his enemies dazed.

For a hunk of rock, he moves fast,
And slows all his enemies down.
With his monstrous strength,
He throws them to the ground.

This Skeith rumbles in victory,
Temple and Talisman remain his.
Prying them from his claws
Remains a near impossible wish.

The Lost Desert is inhospitable,
A harsh, unforgiving place.
But nothing is more unmerciful
Than Siliclast's stone face.
