A Zafara is a pet that everyone likes

We have been eagerly awaiting this day all year
And now Zafara Day is finally here
We celebrate Chadley, Kayla and Ace Zafara as well
Have you ever seen a species so swell

Any Zafara is an excellent choice
So on this day, let us rejoice
And celebrate this wonderful pet
One that we could surely never forget

Adopt a Zafara and make a new friend
Zafara merchandise is the new trend
We'll eat Zafara cookies and make Zafara jewellery
Zafara Day is for fun and for foolery

We'll make Zafara crafts and make Zafara art
And we will make it all from the heart
Maybe a painting or two, realistic or abstract
Because Zafaras are great and that's a fact

Sarah the Zafara's Game of Key Quest

Sarah the zafara wanted to play key quest.
To collect keys and be her opponent's guest.
The game for her didn't start so good.
She got a giant lint ball played on her, not a good start like it should 

She sat there and waited her turn.
Looks like she had energy to burn.
Then she had played on her a tornado ring.
Uh oh that's not a good thing.

It wasn't long before her opponent won.
Maybe she wanted to help out but she was done 
I guess that's what happens when you want to help.
You lose so badly you want to yelp.
I guess Sarah better stick to her day job 
Because if she plays key quest the win they will rob.

Long ago, I turned into this ball of fluff;
Went from a grisly stature to a mound of tuft.
Turned grossly green, like Sophie's hue,
Who vies now for best witch's brew.
And if you think me sweet like Kayla,
My potent potions'll surely change ya.
With complex spells, not child's play,
Look down on me and you'll rue the day.

In quests, I seek to solve such Neopet flaws,
Utilizing these bulky paws and claws.
I throw each oddity into a vat,
While whipping up a sinister snack.
In truth, these large ears don't deceive;
As foolish Neopets run off to leave,
Their frightened screams fill me with glee,
When they fail me and are forced to flee.

I cackle at such sorry sights,
Though in the dome, fools wish to fight.
You may think that I'm cute and helpless;
I'd warn you now not to be careless.
An old Zafara witch does well with tricks;
Just give that long sleek tail a flick.
Surprisingly spry unlike before;
Swapped old bones for this nimble core.

By the power of my very own potion,
Never could I have considered the notion.
Through fated irony, who could've surmised?
A Neopet I'd become, which I much despised.
Yes, I oft did curse that wretched day,
But if I were to be a Neopet anyway,
To choose the species best suited for me,
I guess a Zafara is what it would be!

A Zafara Day Race

At last the day has finally come
For everyone to gather and get some
Racing action, see contestants move quick
As the time slowly by does tick

Our Electric Zafara lines up at the start
Big ambitions and dreams in her heart
To be the fastest Zafara ever seen
Even though to the contest she’s rather green

The old favourite to win stands nearby
He’s a bright Faerie-coloured guy
Those transparent wings shining bright
This Zafara will put up quite the fight

The announcer steps up and starts counting down
“Three, two, one...go!” echoes through the town
As with lightning speed our heroine begins
Her first race, neck-in-neck with the Faerie, almost like twins

They both zig and zag across the course
With expert moves, and a tremendous force
Neither wants to lose that is known
As each concentrates and is in the zone

The finish line now comes into sight
Both contestants run with all their might
Who will win? The group gives loud cheers
As each crosses at the same time, equal peers.

A Lonely Zafara's Lament: The Feverish Food

This wretched pound is oh so cruel—
They only serve Zafara Gruel!
I absolutely loathe the taste,
So I suspect it's kitchen waste.

As a Zaf, I am insulted
That this horrid trash resulted
From the kitchen oh so meager.
Food so poor gives me a fever!

For some meatloaf I will long,
Yet I'm anything but strong,
Since I am ill from poisoning
Of food. The life's drained out of me!

Hopefully, I won't be sick
For days on end; my wounds I lick!
Adoption is my smallest trouble
When I'm ill from eating rubble.

The Zafara Ambassador

The watchful oculus glares at the rotunda:
The room is circular, neither side is sharp
Nor right. A chariot made of marble flies
Unmoving, the impression of progress.
The cast-iron columns uphold its ideals
Under the weight of all of Altador, waiting,
Watching through the stone porticos.
There is an irony to neoclassic mythos.

Thus, the ambassador Zafara rises at dawn
To begin her trek to the Altadorian Council.
From the distant mountains she represents,
She traverses the farmlands she planned
And the irrigation channels she once ran,
Carrying with decisions, representations.
Her Neopet constituents trust her rigour
To uphold their interests down in Altador.

Impersonal and practical, they trade away
Platitudes for policy, the worst kind levying
Public trust for personal gain. It takes theft
To recognize a thief. Maybe those robbed
Are bequeathed insight of right and wrong.
The best of them barter for peace, regionally.
Under the columns, disconnected subjects
Wait with bated breath for consequence.

The Zafara vies for treaties in the chambers.
Silence occupies space for special interests,
Powers accorded to those who can afford
A seat within Altador. They conjure discord.
Murals of certain histories adorn the halls
Ghosts inhabit. The gravitas of the Council
Extolls those who pay dues. Nevertheless,
The Zafara ambassador endeavours her best.

Ace Zafara - Super Race!

There is a game I like to play
It's one I always pick
Super Race is what it's called
a simple point-and-click

Ace Zafara flies his ship
from start to finish line
he plays against a race robot
not hard to beat, that's fine

But as he beats each level
it's harder to get through
because the folks in marketing
place ads for revenue

Pop up adverts everywhere!
they drive me round the bend
it gets so bad I cannot wait
for the current game to end

The Zafara Double Agent,
That's how she's known.
Through espionage and trickery
She rose to dubious renown.

No scroll is safe,
No important information.
She swipes it all deftly
With thrill and elation.

Before anyone finds out,
This Zafara takes flight.
Not on wings, but through shadow,
She slips away, out of sight.

Where does her loyalty lie?
Whose side is she on?
Who did she really favour?
Meridell or Darigan? 

What is her name?
What is her past?
These undying questions
Certainly won't be the last!

In the depths of the haunted old woodlands,
Stands a tower that everyone knows,
Which glows with an ominous green light,
And makes all who pass wrinkle their nose.

If you dare to ascend this old tower,
At the top it is sure you will find:
A simmering, bubbling cauldron,
And a witch who has long lost her mind!

Standing hunch-backed with her old face wrinkled,
And long talons instead of filed nails,
Every morning she dons her big black hat
With a cackle, and hands full of chopped tails!

In her big, heated pot she throws all sorts
of items she needs help to find,
A green hairbrush, a balloon, or stuffed toy,
“Hurry quick dear, or your soul will be mine!”

The one thing she wants is a potion,
A lotion, elixir, or spell:
To reverse the clocks back to a time when
Her young beauty was unparalleled.

And although she may not be the best witch,
Or even the second or third,
Every day of her life she works harder–
This Zafara will not be deterred!
