Sewage Surfing!
By lebbek

The sewers beneath the Neopian grounds,
Have not been fixed in years.
So Matt is here to save the day
By giving the sewers a repair!

Help him find where the pieces go
One wrong move then you mess up the flow!

Start from the source, then connect to the drain
Doing the job can be such a pain

You get an assortment of pieces,
that you must use
But you have to carefully choose

You get 5 discards, no more no less
C'mon try and do you best!

Oh no! You're out of places to put the pipes
Matt looks at the sewer, then goes, "YIPES!"

He may have failed, this sewer here
But it's his job, he must repair!

He tries again, but fails once more
Matt wanted to quit, but it started to pour!

Just then he thought of an idea in his head,
"If I flood the sewer,
why don't I go surfing instead?"

Storytelling Contest
By moonkid74

There's a new Storytelling Contest
I can't wait to start
I read all the lines
Trying to think of the next part

I think for a while
An idea strikes my head, I type in the box
Hoping no one else gets picked instead

I dream of the prize
That I might get
And all my past failures
I start to forget

I check later that night
There's still nothing new
I think of all the times I tried
And how I won very few

Later the next day
My part I don't see
Something else has been picked
How can this be?

In all my jealousy
I read the other person's part
I begin to get mad
As I pick it apart

At least I've won twice
Unlike those who've never won
Maybe I should give someone else a chance
Though it's all very fun

I try again and again
Still no success
Guess that's the way

A Dark Mourning
By magus_darkstar

This morning I went to the land of the Faerie
A nice cloudy place, not too evil or scary
I did have an end for my journey in mind
The purplish cloud that most had maligned

I smiled, almost proud,
as I reached the dark throne
Right until I noticed that I stood there, alone
I panicked, at first, because I was stranded
With the VERY costly gift that Jhudora demanded

I glanced all around and to my surprise
A magnificent mansion awaited my eyes
I raced to the entrance and ventured indoors
Again I was startled for I heard grumpy snores

They came from behind a black door on my right
Behind it, a room, dark, but for a small light
I expected to find one like me, but instead
Jhudora slept soundly (and how) in her bed

I checked my watch and noticed
my time was waning
I had only two or three minutes remaining
"If you fail," she'd once said,
with a stare I could feel
"You'll go back to the first quest,
do we have a deal?"

At first when she said that I simply had yawned
But now I was questing for a Dark Faerie's wand!
As my last precious minutes were wasting away
I decided that I'd wake her up in some way

I prodded her gently, but she refused to wake
So I got my water bottle and made my mistake
Her scream split the air as I watered her face
"Good morning?" I said and I stepped back a pace

I learned then one should let sleeping Faeries lie
Unless that one knows a quick exit nearby
For in all of her rage (which I couldn't begrudge)
She took my item to Sloth
and brought me back the sludge

The Toy
By dreidelen

I went to look for the perfect toy.
That would fit the Faerie Queen.
I promised her I'd get a toy
and it had to be there by nine-fifteen.

I searched every shop high and low.
I searched every land.
I didn't want the queen to say, "No!
This is the worst toy I've ever had."

I had to get one for her birthday.
Like I promised I would.
I searched night and day.
It had to be good.

I went in a store one day
and found the perfect one.
I was so excited I shouted, "Hooray!"
At last my search was done.

I gave the shopkeeper all my money
I knew it was worth it
For the doll had hair the color of honey.
I knew the queen would love it.

I took it home that night
and set it on the bed.
When I looked at it again.
On the floor the doll was spread.

Like I said there was a mess.
I was frightened, I couldn't blink.
In my Grarrl's mouth was the rest.
Oh what would the queen think?

Illusen’s Novel
By cassie_megonigle2

My little Wocky was very lonely.
He had been living in Neopia
for five hundred ninety-seven days.
Yes, he had a brother,
one who was much younger.
My Wocky was an ultimate genius
And could not find anything
to talk about with his average brother.

When the land of Meridell opened,
my Wocky was so excited!
This would be a new place
he could take time to learn about.

One day while wandering around,
he stumbled upon Illusen’s Glade.
To him she was a dream come true.
She busied him with quests
and he had the time of his life.
He loved looking around,
searching for the best deals.

One day Illusen rewarded him
with a book about her life.
Of all the 76 books he’d read
this was now his favorite.

Inspired by Illusen, he wanted
to write a novel about his own life.
He finished it as soon as he could
and I was first to read it.
I could tell he was very talented
and greatly loved to write.

But there was one thing
that disappointed me.
After reading the book,
he showed me the dedication page.
It was blank but I knew
whose name would go there: Illusen’s.

He pasted on a strip of paper
And smiled as he showed it to me.
It said, “To my owner,
who gave me everything
I have to write about."
My Wocky hugged me tight
and I cried tears of delight.
For even though I thought
he liked Illusen more than me,
I realized I mean as much to my Wocky
as my Wocky means to me.
