Illusen's Glade
By sugarnhoney

The ivy sways softly,
In the gentle dawn breeze,
And there sits Illusen,
Bedecked in green leaves,
Her wings are a glittering,
Her emerald eyes gleam,
And there in the sunlight,
She smiles at me.
She floats over,
To where I am standing,
"I beseech you please help me,"
Says she,
Gently landing.

In all of her glory,
She awes me with beauty,
There under the oak trees,
Of course I agree,
Just a simple task,
Fetch me mint tea,
I do so,
In my hand,
She places a cream cookie,
"So nice to meet you,
Please come again,
I'll give you a task,
Do it if you can."

With that she flutters,
Up to the sky,
I know I'll come there again,
To do her tasks,
I will try.

Looks Aren't Worth a Penny
By dillusionalarcher

No one has ever looked at me this way,
My clean silky fur is gone,
They scream and quickly run away,
I'm a creation gone terribly wrong.

My claws now look malicious,
My eyes have gone all red,
They scream and shout "He's vicious!"
And, "He's not properly fed!"

My tail is now begrimed,
My fangs: long and yellow,
My fur: greasy and slimed,
"Stay clear! He bites!" they bellow.

Do they not see me?
The Kougra deep inside,
The one I used to be,
But now I have to hide.

My looks may be deceiving,
And my eyes: hungry and pained,
I have finally stopped my grieving,
But from tears my paws are stained.

Inside I am happy,
Happy of who I am,
And I know it may sound sappy,
But I'm as harmless as a lamb.

I would never dare hurt you,
Or even show a fang,
A heart of gold true and true
I've never growled - I've sang.

But no one seems to see this,
It's just evilness to them,
They all think I snarl and hiss,
But see one day I'll say "Ahem..."

"Us mutants may seem ugly,
We may look evil and mean,
And you look at us all so smugly,
See we're really all quite clean.

It's just this is how we are,
And we cannot change our looks,
You can find us wide and far,
And look us up in books.

Yet our hearts are all the same,
Good and clean as any,
It is you who should take the shame,
Because looks aren't worth a penny."

Maths Nightmare
By skkydancer7

Imiya needs to get some rest,
for tomorrow is a test.
She hops into bed without delay,
so she will pass her test the next day.

Head on pillow and eyelids closed,
in a moment she begins to doze.
Her dreaming begins filled with many pleasures,
flowers, butterflies, and other treasures.

As she just begins to snore,
she does not know what lies in store.
The many Babaas charge and burst her thoughts,
each one with a math problem, the whole lot.

Imiya jumps with a start,
she doesn't like this nightmare part.
To stay asleep is what must be done,
or else the next day will not be fun.

She realizes what she must do,
to keep the Babaas passing through.
She must solve each problem, hard and easy,
even the mutants, though they make her queasy.

As she lays sleeping in her bed,
the Babaas are passing through her head.
Each with a problem harder than the rest,
Imiya works and does her best.

For the answers, she racks her brain,
hoping not to wake up again.
Imiya works and toils,
wishing morning would come
and the Babaas' plans will be foiled.

Alas, a difficult problem pops up,
but the little Aisha has no time to stop.
She must work fast to enter the correct number,
so as not to break her slumber.

But this one problem can't seem to be fixed,
Imiya sees she's in quite a mix.
Trying different answers but to no avail,
with a sad heart, she sees she has failed.

Reluctantly the white Aisha opens her eyes,
but what she sees is quite a surprise.
Daylight outside! It's time to go,
she'll Ace this test, is what she knows.

Confidently marching the way to school,
ready to prove that she's no fool.
From now on when it comes to maths,
Imiya will know the correct path.

The test results are very clear,
Imiya has passed, she gives a cheer.
Glad she has studied late into the night,
she has proved she's done what's right.

Now math is her best subject,
she loves it too.
And when the next group of Babaas
come to haunt her dreams,
Imiya knows exactly what to do.

Potato Counter
By faerie_queens363

I wanted to explore the globe
But what I saw, I did not know.
On the map was something new,
Meridell was there from out of the blue.
I went into this brand new place,
And there I saw a new face.
He asked me if I knew how to count,
I said "Of course! Without a doubt."
He must have been able to read my mind,
Because money was what I was out to find.
He told me to count his potatoes
as fast as I could,
As I counted there he stood.
Counting the seconds that went by,
And then I yelled out "49!"
He said "Correct!
Now you can collect,
One hundred Neopoints for counting fast,
When others could not do it in the past."
I stood in awe as he passed me the money,
And did it again, but got all funny.
I yelled out 44, but he said no,
You get no neopoints for this go.
I did it again and got it right,
one hundred neopoints were now in sight.
I asked if I could count some more,
But he said that I would be doing it four.
His limit was three, which made me sad,
But he said "You can come back tomorrow, lad!"

Treasure of The Black Pawkeet
By pepsigurl1001

There once was a ship called The Black Pawkeet,
With a black-hearted crew
that you wouldn't want to meet.
They sailed the seas and plundered treasure,
There was so much loot it was hard to measure!
And on that ship was a captain bold,
A fearsome villain with a heart quite cold.
The old pirate's name was Cap'n Bloodhook,
He could terrify a man with a single look!
All in all quite a blood-thirsty group,
Not a single soul dared cross his troop.
Then one day the weather turned,
And up came a storm quite fierce we've learned.
But ol' Bloodhook he wasn't scared.
Through such things many years he'd fared.
He'd weathered storms much worse by far,
Enough to daunt any old tar.
But today was different or so he'd see
For tossed overboard Bloodhook would be.
No one thought that he'd survive.
His death was spelled in that last dive.
Still quite wary was his crew,
For he'd survived anything nature threw.
So a nasty scheme his crew planned out.
They'd bury the treasure and map the route.
On Krawk Island a hole they'd dig,
And find it later to be paid big!
Unfortunately, Bloodhook survived,
And discovered their plan when he arrived.
He leaped on board with a thunderous roar!
In that moment the crew was done for.
All but Bloodhook died that day.
In their graves now the pirates lay.
The secret location of the treasure
Was buried with it and lost forever.
Now if you pay a modest fee,
You can find for yourself where the treasure be.
Through ancient scrolls you must look
To find the treasure Bloodhook took.
There once was a ship called The Black Pawkeet...
And finding its treasure is no easy feat.
