Today we all celebrate, 
An extra special pet. 
They are very loveable, 
And the friendliest we have ever met. 

They like to frolic in the grass, 
And bound around the meadows. 
Chasing each other around, 
Trying to catch one another’s shadows. 

Kau’s like nothing more, 
Than to have lots of fun. 
Laughing and causing mischief, 
Until the day is done. 

when the night draws near,
And the Kau’s are very tired. 
They snuggle with their lovely fur, 
For cuddles that are admired.

So, today we all celebrate,
The Kau's and say thank you.
For being the best Neopet,
Even with your loud MOO.

The Kau Day Hill

A spotted Kau stands on a hill,
His mind wandering far, yet standing still,
He thinks and wonders, as Kaus will,
About what lies in store for this day.

To the wind the long grass sways,
As on the hillside baby Kaus play,
And the spotted Kau doesn't stray,
From his perfect spot where he stands.

He stands and thinks about faraway lands,
How beautiful they are and just how grand,
On this day, many years ago he planned,
To celebrate Kau Day somewhere faraway.

Now the sun is high in the sky, it is midday,
And the celebrations will soon be underway,
Yet from his spot, he will not be lead astray,
For it's the perfect for gazing into the sky,
Where the fireworks will soon be flying high.

Although this hill is not faraway,
And it is the hill where he has always stayed,
He would rather have it no other way...
For the perfect Kau Day.

I just saw the wraith Kau!
And it’s like looking at pure evil, oh wow!
Impressed by how a kind soul can look so mean
I’m not quite sure if I’m so keen!

On the other hand I shouldn’t be so surprised
Kau’s know magic better than anyone else, a skill that is prized!
And magic always comes with a cost
So the wraith kau looks likes there was an evil magical line it crossed!

The clay Kau is like a contradiction
It’s made out of the ground it grazes on, sounds like a work of fiction!
Yet it feels more familiar, looks soft and kind. Ready to sing a song!
They’ll sing Moooooooo with a voice so strong!

Maybe it’s magical as well
Because made out of the ground it lives on sounds like something a witch could sell!
I’m curious what their milk tastes like, maybe it’s enchanted!
That is if they allow you to drink, something you shouldn’t take for granted!

An ode to my Kau, Bulixian

I’d like to dedicate this poem
to my lovely, cloudy Kau,
So let me share his story in all glory,
I will do so, if I’m allowed.

He loves his flower crown,
It shows off his carefree personality.
You’ll never see him wearing a frown.
He’s as happy as a Kau can be.

My lovely Buli,
busy picking flowers and chasing butterflies
He’ll never treat you cruelly,
My charming chap is so nice!

My dreamy Kau,
usually wears a colourful top,
but he’s wearing Maraquan sportsgear now
his support for the team knows no stops!

And in the end,
My heart’s content,
that I’m able to say
Buli is my best friend!

How Now Cheating Kau

Ode to the Desert Captain

We are into the swing of the Altador Cup,
Neopia’s favorite annual pastime.
All over the lands, people partake in the games,
With only a few days of downtime.

For this year’s Kau Day celebrations,
I propose a toast to the Lost Desert team.
Captained by a now legendary Kau,
With a single, unbending dream.

The dream became a reality,
In Year 12, when they won the whole Cup.
While I admit there has been a long drought,
Leera has never been one to give up.

He is the team’s longstanding goalkeeper,
Protecting the net from the opposing line.
Blocking shoots from all types of Yooyus -
Nothing compares against this bovine.

Now, I may not be a part of the Lost Desert crew,
I feel like cheering for this famous Kau.
Could Leera win the cup for a second time?
Depends on the number of goals he’ll allow.

A herd of kaus walk up the hill

The grass around them luscious, green
Their eyes are sparkling, full of gleam 

Hardy hooves, set to trot
Dazzling smiles, can’t be bought

The kau’s are joyous, it’s their day!
No time to dwell on all things grey

They pitter patter to the party
Eat their fill, the meals are hearty

They drink and dance, rejoice together
Play party games, enjoy the weather

And before the day comes to an end
The kaus have made some brand new friends

In Neopia Central there is a shop,
That some may think is over the top.
All sorts of magic and potions are sold there,
Including some that are quite rare.

A very famous Kau is the owner of this place,
Many neopets wish to meet her face to face.
Kauvara is her name and magic is her passion,
She runs this shop in an incredible fashion.

When you enter her shop and look around,
You'll realize why this place is so renowned.
Aisles of magical treasures fill this store,
Many of which you will certainly adore.

She works hard every day and at her command,
Her magic items get spread all over the lands.
So, on this Kau day celebration let us not forget,
To celebrate Kauvara and other Kau neopets!

Kalora the Kau

Once upon a time, as Neopia whirled,
A young Kau wanted to see the world.
Kalora dreamed of adventure and seeing the sights,
From Altador's bright days to the Haunted Woods' darkest nights.


Kalora longed to see the library in Brightvale
and to sail to Krawk Island, maybe getting caught in a gale.
Moltara to Faerieland, she'd see every location -
From the depths of Maraqua to Virtupets Space Station!


Kalora had a goal, it was unmistakeable,
but there was a problem that was quite principle.
Travel is expensive, and it wasn't very funny
Because Kalora the Kau didn't have any money!


Her purse and bank account were pitifully empty
And she needed a scheme to get her Neopoint a-plenty.
She was tempted to turn to a life of crime,
And she nearly succeeded, visiting Fernypoo one time.


Princess Fernypoo was a friend of Kalora,
And, being royalty, she owned a valuable tiara.
Kalora politely asked if it she could borrow,
But the Acara replied with a curt "No."


Kalora was disappointed as her opportunity was gone,
But another presented itself before long.
Fernypoo had just laid down for a nap,
and Kalora thought, now, she could snatch it in a snap.


The Kau quietly tiptoed into the room
She saw, askew on Fernypoo's head, the heirloom.
She took a deep breath, being sure not to choke -
But as she reached for the tiara, Fernypoo awoke!


"Oh, Kalora," she said, "you don't have to steal.
There are other ways to earn income, and I know it will appeal
To your sense of adventure. And I promise, it's not much of a feat
To earn Neopoints from this game I know. It's called Cheat."


Kalora listended intently. She desired to get rich quick,
And Fernypoo's description of the game seemed to click.
In Cheat, you see, sometimes you lie and you bluff
But Kalora didn't have a problem with any of that stuff.


Cheat was the solution! So she joined the game
And started earning both money and fame.
Now Kalora plays so she can travel like an ethusiast
And tour all Neopia - fulfilling her dream at last.
