with wings both broad and strong,
smiles written upon their faces,
all joined in jubilant song.

Well known across Neopia
for their wings, tails, and cheer,
these brave Neopets are oft seen
in battle showing no fear.

But fighting is not all
that our fine Shoyru friends do.
They are loyal and trustworthy;
they're always there for you.

Whether Cog with her sewing,
or the quarry foreman's endeavor,
Shoyrus are fastidious.
Shoyrus giving up? Why, never!

Now every one of you give
a holler, laugh, and hooray
because at long last,
it's now Shoyru Day!

The Marble Shoyru Shall Enthuse

The Marble Shoyru is so grand,
The finest dragon in the land.
This hue of wyverns has to be
A member of my family.

The shades of sky and tangerine
Are such a beauty to be seen.
The shimmer lacking parallel
Brings pure amazement, always swell.

The eyes are huge, like gorgeous orbs!
The brilliant sunshine they absorb.
The hue of navy shall impress---
Its gleam delights, I must confess.

I hope to paint my Shoy this hue,
A masterpiece of orange and blue.
The artwork o'er its skin enthralls!
This dragon is the best of all.

Kentari the Shoyru

Serious and tough,
Kentari's no slouch,
He can be quite rough,
A bit of a grouch.

As weapons master,
Of Cyodrake's Gaze,
Stronger and faster,
Are his goals always.

In his quiet times,
He enjoys poetry,
Coming up with rhymes,
Beside an oak tree.

He loves Godori,
A clever card game,
Winners take glory,
Losers leave with shame.

Shining Shoyru

Shining in the sky
Look at him go!
That silly little Shoyru
Flying to and fro

How can they be so agile,
How can they be so cool?
Buzzing right past the sun
He looks like a jewel!

Shoyrus are the best
And they know it, too!
Regardless of their color
Biscuit, green, or blue!

What else can I say?
Shoyrus deserve some love
You should adopt one now!
They’ll fit in like a glove

They’re often overlooked
With a height of only 60 centimeters,
But why? Shoyrus love attention
And have so many other great features!
Would you know what to do if a Shoyru got sick?
There’s a book written just for you,
A guide to prepare you for emergencies,
Because even a great Shoyru,
Might sometimes feel a little blue.
A Shoyru’s large wings,
They want to be spread,
Let them fly for a bit,
Before taking them to bed.
It is a huge responsibility,
To take care of a Shoyru,
But if you give it the love it deserves,
You’ll always have a great friend besides you!

Shoyru Wings

Shoyrus are wanderers,
They are creatures of flight,
Find them in the ravines,
Or up at new heights.

Their favourite hangout –
Is twirling amongst the clouds,
Coasting with the winds,
Away from the crowds.

Some days they’d stop by,
Faerieland for some tea, 
Cloud candies and pancakes,
They savour them with glee!

They’d swoop down to Tyrannia too,
For some Yes Boy Ice Cream,
Jamming to their favourite songs,  
Under the moonbeam.

Come nightfall they retreat, 
Back to their homes,
Delicately folding their wings,
Resting for a new day’s roam.

Fire Shoyru

Deep within the ashes,
Where a fire used to stay,
Is where you will find,
The Fire Shoyru lays.

After the entire city turned red, 
Everyone had fled,
But the Fire Shoyru stayed,
Of course he wasn't afraid.

The heat is his favorite,
The burnt fields are his home,
He loves the smell of smoke,
Very seldom will he roam.

The only time when he'll be found,
Is when April 2nd rolls around,
So if you see him get a good glimpse,
It's a sight you won't want to miss.

The Shoyru of Krawk Island (Shoyru Day)

After Dasher Soley left the game,
The Shoyru was the new kid on the block,
For some, it was a real shame,
"What's Krawk Island without the Krawk?"

The fans argued with each other,
"She's too small and inexperienced!"
"What were they thinking? Oh, brother!"
"They can't really be serious?"

But all their grievances went away,
When they saw her in the match,
From the first game that she played,
She was much too hard to catch.

With a flick of her wings,
And quick steps to and fro,
She evades opponents and flings,
The Yooyuball into the goal.

Her opponents were left speechless,
As she continued her scoring reign,
She had a plan for success,
Against any formation that they played.

For a newcomer, she was pretty great,
And in moments that she wasn't sure,
She knew to pass it to her teammates,
To get that impossible goal.

As the doubters started cheering on
That Pirate Shoyru in red and black,
She finally felt that she belonged,
And ever since, she hasn't looked back.

That quick and fiery Centre Forward,
Now Top Yooyuball Scorer on the pitch,
Is none other than Krawk Island's
Feldon "Dinksy" Collibridge

Shoyru Day Sensation

Here lives a Shoyru named Barry
He looks innocent, but he's tough as a faerie
With much effort and strength he collects his lost toys
Before they the whole of Neopia destroys
Thank Barry he's so very wary

Another Shoyru is named Kentari
He travels the desert, sky and on safari
A master of weapons and of a game
He guarantees to improve your aim
You better serve him some real calamari

When the stars form in a specific constellation
We know it's time for a Shoyru celebration
So get your cake and gift and smile
It's time to celebrate in style
Shoury Day is a true sensation!

Ode to Kantari

Hailing from the city high above the clouds,
Not that hustle and bustle of the city crowds.
In Shenkuu, this Shoyru is now famous to all,
For helping find Hoban after his fall.

Handling weapons has always been his forte,
Now put out for selling in a fancy display.
There he sells crossbows, shields and string bows,
Lined up neatly on all the shelf rows.

Most notably, he helped uncover the truth,
Watching Chef Bonju as a stealth sleuth.
Kentari saw him leave the weapons room,
A strange act for a chef, one would presume.

In the end, Bonju did throw Hoban off the ship,
All revealed at the end of the Gaze’s trip.
Kentari settled down back in his shop,
Nestled in Shenkuu at the mountain’s top.

Now you can find this Shoyru playing Godori,
Played out on a flat bamboo mat you see?
If you match the cards correctly, you may just win,
It seems easy to play, until you truly begin.

How do I know which cards should match?
Somehow it feels like there is a catch.
I wish not to play Kentari, a master at the game.
Just another reason to add to his fame!

How they all have made their impact on Neopia,
Odail, guiding those 
Young adventurers on their quest, while
Responsibly staying out of harms way in the 
Underclouds, 

Dorian, amazingly selfless like most others of his species,
And Darren, with wonderful friends, this 
Year, remember all the incredible Shoyru, and
