The Ice Caves

In the Ice Caves there's so much to do,
a winter random event may come to pass you.
Visit the Snowager, hope he's asleep,
as you reach into his treasure,
for something to keep.
Or, maybe you'd rather visit the Neggery,
where neggs are made, for you to bring home.
Or, perhaps if you like to roam,
you could play the Ice Caves game.
Yes, in the Ice Caves it's never lame.
Or, maybe it's your lucky day,
and you'd rather hear the kiosk Wocky say,
'Ladies and gentlemen we have a winner.'
Then as you prepare to go home to dinner,
you step into a crack
that's been made by an earthquake,
another long trip you'll have to make.
For as you get up you hear someone say,
"Ugga ugg ugga ugga. Uggania."
Then you realize you're in the heart of Tyrannia!!!

Cheeseroller Champion

A new game has arrived to tempt us,
A new game to tease;
Though I found the object distracting,
For we had to play with cheese!

Buy your cheese; roll it down the hill,
How hard could this be??
Potholes and tree branches line your path,
Though these obstacles you cannot see!

What cheese to buy?
Which will be smooth and fast?
If you choose incorrectly,
You'll be sure to come in last!!

Quadruple fudge cheese smells nice,
But can it soar through the air?
Honey coated cheese seems slick,
But can it face the dare?

Spicy juppie cheese looks promising,
But what about that stem?
Bubbling blueberry cheese seems wise,
It might just be the gem!!

There are many others from which to choose,
Made of beef and dung, to snorkle and brain,
It's for you to choose with which
The champion shall reign!!

Your choices are simple on what to do,
You can push the cheese faster
to gain some speed,
Or hold it steady to stop it from wobbling,
Maybe a forward summersault is what you need!!

Dive left, dive right, you're almost there,
The crowd sees that rock along your path;
They wait on bated breath
To see the destructing aftermath!!

A lucky wind blows behind your back,
It steers you past that rock with grace,
Your cheese rolls deftly around,
Congratulations, you won the race!!

Ode to a Grundo

How sweet the Grundo,
yet how maligned!
Perpetually misjudged
for the sins of his kind.

He may not be as cute,
as a JubJub or Bruce
Yet his kind heart implies
that it's time for a truce.

That bad Dr. Sloth,
so evil and scary
Has made potential adopters
a little bit wary!

They've heard all the gossip
the chit-chat and slander;
The evil exploits
of the Grundo Commander.

But now, look ye here,
to the truth of the matter.
Sit down with a cuppa
and we'll have a quick natter.

If you'll just take the time
to look deep in his eyes,
Your average young Grundo
will give you a surprise.

He won't bite your hand off,
Or steal your soul!
He just wants a cuddle
and a full feeding bowl.

He is loyal and faithful
Always true to the end.
A Grundo will be
the most rewarding of friends.

Extreme Herder

It all started out as a warm summer day,
A blue Kacheek farmer set his pets out to play.
In their green pasture, they'd roam far and near,
But always in range of what he could hear.

With a jump and a yelp, he shot from his chair,
A cry in the distance... would Balthazar dare?
Would that ragged old Lupe
come near his poor pets?
Best to go check rather than make any bets...

He arrived in the field
where the cry had come from,
And he saw none other
than that weasly old scum!
Balthazar chased all the 'foxes, Babaas and Noils,
Kicking up a dust storm in the hot summer soil.

Forgetting his fears,
the Kacheek ran into the fray,
He'd protect his pets! And that Lupe would pay...
But first, every Babaa and Noil
must be protected,
A wooden fence would do-
that's what he suspected.

Grabbing every pet with the most tender of care,
He placed them where only Balthazar could stare,
As they were safe behind bars,
and he was stuck out.
So he finally gave up, and left with a pout.

The little Kacheek jumped with such joy!
His pets were all safe, so he could enjoy
Their company for just one more
warm summer day
Unless that Balthazar came
once again to "play"...

A Day At The Races...

One day I was bored,
I was bored through and through.
I thought and I thought,
but I had nothing to do!

But just then I thought,
What's exciting and fun?
I'll go to the race track,
and watch the Poogles run!

I hopped on my bike,
I was there in a flash.
And you bet that I brought,
my secret money stash!

I went to the counter,
to place my bet.
I was sure glad,
the race hadn't started yet!

I couldn't choose who to bet on,
but I tried and I tried.
1? 4? 2? 8? 5?
I just couldn't decide!

I finally picked,
the underdog, 1.
How much did I bet?
Let's just say, a ton!

I found myself a seat,
right up by the gate.
When would it start?
I just couldn't wait!

Then I heard on the speaker,
"One minute 'til the race!"
And right then I started,
to regret the bet I placed!

One minute passed,
and the gates opened up.
Number 1 fell back quickly,
I was ready to give up!

Near the end of the track,
the finish line neared.
My Poogle was dead last,
just as I had feared!

But at the last minute,
he blasted ahead!
Just then I screamed out:
"Maybe I'm not dead!!!"

He caught up to the leader,
they were neck and neck!
I jumped up and down,
I was a nervous wreck!

Almost at the same time,
they passed the finish line,
which Poogle had won,
Number 3, or mine?

It was a photo finish,
and my head spun,
Then the officials announced,
it was Poogle number one!

I literally screamed,
when I went claim my prize!
When I got to the counter,
I couldn't believe my eyes!

I couldn't believe,
The neopoints in my hand.
The total was almost,
forty-five grand!

I had so much fun,
that day at the track.
I had so much fun,
I think I'll go back!
