That would give anyone a surprise.
With wings that flitter.
They help make them quicker.

You can see the Buzz,
They will be flying above.
Swarms of them, they celebrate.
As today’s their Neopet date.

One, two, three and more!
Different buzzes! Can you name them all?
There’s a custard, looks delicious!
And another one painted Christmas!

There’s another painted brown!
Oh what a cute baby buzz wiggling on the ground.
Happy buzz day to you all.
Wonder what new colour they have in store!

An Ode to the Buzz

Buzzes buzzing all around,
Passing by with a distinctive sound.
In Neopia many have found fame,
Of which I will attempt only a few to name.

Kep Bonnefie the Yooyuball star,
Charming fans near and far.
Flying her colors for Darigan Citadel,
At tackling opponents she does excel.

Anyone who has battled in Tyrannia surely knows
How Tyragh the warrior Buzz conquered his foes.
Diving in to land a blow,
Then evading at a speed not slow.

In the depths of Moltara Lampwyck plies his trade;
The lights he creates are homemade.
His relative sells cards in Neopia Central;
For a collector his wares are almost essential.

The Buzz is an underappreciated sort,
Much praise it unfortunately does not court.
But with its dazzling acrobatics and keen eyesight,
Soon others will be unable to deny its might.

So even if you don’t like to party, don’t pout!

It’s their day of the year
When they put their faces straight in the fruit pie, don’t stare! 
Everything involves fruits for these friendly creatures

They are friendly but got sticky hands
So the fruit farmers of Neopia aren’t their fans
Everything for a fresh plump Tigersquash or a juicy Doughnutfruit 
Once they grab their loot they scoot!

But they aren’t all about negative sides
A buzz isn’t a species that comes with guides!
They are always lovable and kind
And they are adore stunt flying to unwind!

They are so fast they put the Poogle races to shame
For them, speed is nature and not just a game!
Their skill for aerobatics is unknown in any other kind
Buzz are one of the more fine sport fans you’ll find!

A Summer Buzz

Blows across the grass
The sun beating down 
Glistening on the lake

A buzz sits by the water
Thinking 
Resting
Humming, the tune to his favorite song
Not a care in the world because
It's summer
And there's time for fun 
When the days are lazy and long 

The warm sunlight
Makes his wings feel slow
Makes his eyes feel heavy
But
The cool water
Makes him feel excited
Makes him want to play

And when his friends arrive
They'll splash and run 
Jump and fly
Having so fun that

The Brightest Buzz

The caves in Moltara are dark and deep,
In the shadows, the lava monsters creep.
The incandescent light is not enough,
To illuminate the cave with its walls so rough.
Along came Lampwyck with a great plan,
To provide illumination for every Moltaran.
Using tools in Moltara like lava and steam,
He mastered crafting handheld light beams.
His prowess impressed even light faeries,
For they had few Neopian contemporaries.
Lampwyck is not a Buzz known to boast,
He'd rather spend his time in his work, engrossed.
His shop is alight with a variety of lanterns,
And they can be found throughout the Moltaran Caverns.
Lampwyck is famous for his work with light,
Among all Buzz he is truly the most bright!

Crunchy Buzz Honey Delight

His creations are lights,
In every colour, glowing.
To light up dark nights,
So you may see where you are going.

And others, he’s not saying.
But they all sparkle and gleam,
All perfect for displaying.

What are you looking for?
Perhaps a simple light.
One I’m sure you’ll adore.
It shines nice and bright.

Or perhaps a chandelier,
A thunder cloud design.
Sure to fill guests with cheer,
It does look very fine.

No matter what you makes you tick,
Provided it’s a light.
It’s sure to be made by Lampwick,

The Buzz About Buzz Day

On this day nineteen years ago,
we met a new species we now know
to be the marvelous Buzz
and learned about what it does.

Buzz soar through the air
with speed, grace, and flair.
They rely on their four wings
to be able to do such things.

Buzz are known for their keen sight,
able to see quite well both day and night.
Perhaps in part due to their massive eyes,
but pointing that out to them would be unwise.

Buzz have a love for all things sweet,
from honey to fruit, they crave it to eat.
Many desserts are based on them.
If you have a chance, you should try some.

The Buzzin’ Avatar: An FFQ’s Finest Use

A Buzz is quite the choice of fate!

Why? Because an avatar,
Loved in places near and far,

It's quite the misconception,
That a Grey Buzz has no fun.
People always think I'm sad,
And that I never see the sun.

Grey is my owner's favorite color,
She says I remind her of a sloth.
Though it gets annoying,
When people mistake me as goth.

It's truly an epidemic,
When I get stereotyped I show restraint.
But all I want to do is shout,
"IT'S REALLY JUST MY PAINT!"

On the outside I look miserable,
I'm not trying to hide that I know it.
On the inside I am as happy as any other,
I really wish that I could show it!

Each year when Buzz Day roles around,
I wonder about all the new colors.
Will I finally be painted something new?
Polka Dot, Candy, or some other?

I get one special day each year,
Where I get to preach to listening ears.
So the one thing I want you to know:
If you see a Grey Buzz - please say hello!

Ode to Buzzes

There are countless 'pets who are furry and warm,
But I prefer 'pets who travel in swarms. 
Driven by instinct with compounded eyes,
I adore 'pets who most would despise. 

The one that I love has no trace of fuzz,
Though some stay away, there is none like the Buzz!
With their fast beating wings both transparent and fine,
I see nothing creepy, in fact, they're divine! 

With eyesight keen and bellies of hunger, 
It's no wonder they tear crops asunder.
Any fine Buzz with senses acute 
Can spot the sight of a ripened fruit. 

Though farmers dismay when Buzzes invade,
I see only the good in these escapades.
I  know some disagree and I can see why,
My favorite Neopet is the world's biggest fly!

So on a day like today please do your best
To see past your judgments that this 'pet is a pest.
If you just get to know one whether Royal or Grey, 
You too shall be shouting "Happy Buzz Day!"

Barry The Buzz

Barry the Buzz,
had one dream.
Something he wished for more than anything,
he wanted it so bad he could scream.

Barry wanted to paint himself,
a color that is shiny and new.
He was tired of being basic,
he was tired of being blue.

Barry wanted to paint himself chocolate,
it was his favorite food after all.
Barry wanted to show his appreciation for the treat,
by looking like he belonged at the Chocolate Ball.

Every year on Buzz day,
one lucky Buzz got a special treat.
He got to chose a new color to get painted for free,
if Barry were to ever win it would be oh so sweet.

Today is Buzz day,
it is finally here.
It is the day that Barry has been waiting for,
this entire year.

Cross your fingers,
and your toes too.
That this is the year Barry gets chosen,
to become chocolate instead of blue.

Ode to Lampwyck

Far underneath the Neopian surface,
Is a sweltering hot town of lava.
Sweating profusely, I am soaked -
Hotter than any cup of java!

From the soft glow of that fiery flow,
A special Buzz is here within his shop.
I’d fancy a look at all his wares of light,
If this heat doesn’t make me drop.

He sells lights, lamps and lanterns,
Of all size and shapes for your ‘home.
This shop is jammed to the brim,
Looking for a fixture with a tooth and comb.

Do I need a lantern or a simple light?
There are lamps made from gear and gas.
Funny shapes, like clouds and unis, 
And even something made from coloured glass.

He is the sole inventor of all these goods,
This handy Buzz known as Lampwyck.
I’m not leaving empty handed here,
No need to burn another candlestick!
