Tuskaninny Day Special

The Starry Tuskaninny
by aeronea

There once lived a Tuskaninny who dreamt of the stars,
Of the sun, the comets, Kreludor, and mars.
He spent his days wishing for space exploration,
Or even to ride on the Virtupets Station.

While swimming he'd pretend he was floating through space,
The zero-gravity atmosphere drifting him someplace.
When he got home he would work on building his rocket —
The path to space was far, you couldn't just walk it.

One day he would trade waves and sand for stardust,
Leave behind seashells and give in to wanderlust.
He would miss Maraqua, and his pet Arkmite,
He would think of them fondly from far out of sight.

All of a sudden he heard a knock on the door,
He was torn from his daydreams, not a clue what for.
It turned out his friends were all in the doorway,
Holding a cake that read "Happy Tuskaninny Day!"

He welcomed them in and they gave him a box,
The content of which had him very much flummoxed.
But as he unwrapped the kelp bow and peaked inside,
His mouth fell agape and his eyes opened wide.

Inside the present was a Starry Paint Brush,
Which, of course, was applied in a rush.
When he looked in the mirror he couldn't help but proclaim,
"The cosmos and I are one and the same!"

Tuskaninny's Summer Day
by pinksrainbow

Basking in the sunlight
upon a stonie rock
is simply the only way
to spend a summer day

Maybe i'll go for a dip
or stroll across the sand
but would that be a waste
of a perfect summer day

You might think i'm lazy
for here i lay
while other go around
and play all day

But you're missing out
on the best way
to spend your summer days

An Apology to Mutant Tuskaninnies
by miraday

This is an apology to all Mutant Tuskaninnies.
You have not been appreciated like other pets.
People remark only on your looks- an ignominy
That was permissible with retrospective regret.

There will never be justification for our behavior.
Perhaps our ignorance comes from the unfamiliar
Way your umber color starkly makes us quiver,
Or the unexpected amber glowing of your angler.

It is our fault for mistaking your hue of chartreuse
For something other than glittering, gilded citrine,
Or for believing the rumors that your sharp flukes
Can grab and jab unlike those of other cetaceans.

If you have ever been called ugly, it comes from
A place in our hearts where we fear insecurity
In ourselves and project it as a way to affirm
How we feel. It is sadly a destructive immaturity.

No matter how you look, you dominate the water.
Your tusks shred through the ice like a weapon,
Your body is protected from the cold by blubber,
And who couldn’t love your aloof expression?

Opinions are only opinions, fleeting like sea dew.
The ocean knows no bounds to its creativity—
We should hold that true when we think of you,
Misunderstood beauty, oh Mutant Tuskaninny.

Ode to the Slushie Slinger Tuskaninny
by catchinglights

This one goes out to a true unsung hero,
Her contributions are definitely not zero.
Though her cups are of plastic and not gold,
Her triumphs truly deserve to be told.

This Tuskaninny is often considered a fool,
Because her passion is making fans cool.
She is none other than the Slushie Slinger,
That Altadorian oft put through the wringer.

The summer days are hot and the games are long,
It's no wonder the slushie stand attracts a throng.
No matter how many flock to the stand,
The Slushie Slinger keeps all three machines manned.

Chokato, Zeenana, and Jumbleberry are the three,
Weapons of choice for this Tuskaninny.
She slings to the left, she slings to the right,
Against her the heat cannot put up a fight.

If you're in Altador and the sun is upon you,
Step on up to the shack with the queue.
Though the wait is long, the reward is great.
Your thirst will the Slushie Slinger sate!

A Tuskaninny Tale
by skaterseeny

A Tuskaninny on the open ocean,
Swimming in an upward motion,
Of adventure he has notion,
Brimming heart full of emotion,
The sea like a water faerie's potion.

A Tuskaninny past the boat dock,
Sitting out on a lonely rock,
Where the Pawkeets fly in flock,
Out on Mystery Island or Krawk,
His heart like a treasure chest lock.

A Tuskaninny on the sunny beach,
A friendly creature I could teach
Tricks to for an apple or peach,
Waving his tail hello at me each
Time I see him within reach.

A Tuskaninny on a foam-crest wave,
With a heart so fearless and brave,
A pirate’s life he would surely save
From falling in a watery grave,
He sleeps in a tide-pool cave.

A Tuskaninny on the sky-like ocean,
Swimming in a downward motion,
Of freedom too he has notion,
The sea deep as true emotion,
Bubbling like a faerie’s love potion.

Tuskaninny Waitress
by stmarshall

The Tuskaninny waitress swishes and sashes,
Delivering drinks to the rabid masses.
Her customers’ satisfaction is most important of all,
She serves on every beck and call.

They come in drones and droves of three.
All of them so very thirsty,
Voices hoarse after each chant and scream,
After a day of cheering their favourite team.

Sometimes she is a little overworked,
The customers can get quite berserk.
Hurriedly disposing of the empty cups once they’re done,
Rushing back to see whether their team has won.

Though they are somewhat demanding,
The Tuskaninny waitress is there for every careless sling.
She revels in the hustle, perfecting catch and aim,
To her it’s more exciting than the Altador Cup game.

The Tuskaninny Parade
by fourin

The Tuskaninnies are a mild-mannered,
Calm and humble lot,
But today the Tuskaninnies gathered,
Up on the shore they sought.

The Tuskaninny parade,
With unexpected motion,
Started a majestic cascade,
Diving down into the ocean.

Their eyes held a knowing glimmer,
Though especially slow on land,
Tuskaninnies are prized swimmers,
Beyond the reach of the sand.

As water runs and currents race,
They dive deeply without falter,
Return to graceful flowing pace,
Does the Tuskaninny in water.

With flippers deftly streamlined,
They dart with quick succession,
And aquatic tails refine,
Their synchronised procession.

Tuskaninnies spry and nimble,
Lead an underwater ballet,
While torrents tug and ripple,
They hardly struggle, merely play.

As they weaved and whirled in time,
Ocean creatures watched in awe,
Their flips with bubbled trails to rhyme,
They danced without a single flaw.

And as the Tuskaninnies went away,
Riding home to the ocean's whim,
Until they meet again some day,
Remember how the Tuskaninnies swim.

The Extremely True Story of Little Timmy
by saiphami

Have you all heard the story of the one named Little Timmy,
The Tuskaninny who would rob you blind so fast you'd be dizzy?
See he had a special talent for a game called Cheat,
And his skills required some dastardly feats.

He's been known to many as a small-time crook,
But he'll take all your money before you have a chance to look.
The others say he gives Tuskaninnies a bad name,
But he'll simply say it's all in the fun of the game.

The main rule of Cheat is that there are no rules,
Just the ones ready to win, and then the rest are fools.
Timmy was no fool, nor was he a rookie,
In fact, he proved, he was one tough cookie.

He took them all out, starting with Brucey B,
Handing him of all his cards and nabbing a small fee,
Then Chuffer Bob, Kalora, and even Spectre,
Timmy turned out to be quite the neopoint collector.

While the others sat awestruck, he admired his pile of gold,
And from then on his legacy was a story often told.
Sure, for a Tuskaninny he brought no nobility or glory,
But Timmy was a winner...and doesn't that make a better story?

Wispy Tuskanniny Wig
by indulgences

With curls of softest, palest brown,
This Wig is quite genteel.
A floating veil of white chiffon
Evokes a quiet feel.

A spray of diamonds dusts the veil,
So brilliant, fine and small.
This Wig is quite a lovely thing.
This Wig will quite enthrall!

Your Tuskaninny will be thrilled
To own these dainty strands.
They twinkle with an inner light,
A brightness fine and grand!

It’s Tuskaninny Day! Please buy
Your pet this lovely hair!
This Wig will quite transform your pet
Into a belle with flair!

She’ll twirl around, she’ll flip her hair,
She’ll be a sight to see!
She’ll love the Wig you bought for her…
She’ll smile with joy and glee!

Slushie Slinger Woes
by charlesvane

This poor Red Tuskaninny, stuck in the shop
Slinging these slushies, oh, when will it stop?
When a slushie cup drops, time for the mop
And sing the slushies on the counter top!

Oh, this poor Tuskaninny
Not very skinny, constantly spinning!
Slushies are slinging and all that it’s bringing
Are mad customers into the store!
They walk through the door, and only want more
So sling those slushies galore!

These Hissis in pink, and their attitudes stink!
Techos angry in red, don’t repeat what they said!
Ogrins all yellow, but definitely not mellow!
Peophin blue, just yelling at you!
Tonus colored purple, and just wants a slurp…el?
Hey, whatever, just keep slinging those slushies, my dear!
