Which aquatic pet do I like the best?
I'll give you some clues: can you guess?
When Maraqua was wiped out
They didn't cry, they didn't pout
Instead, they stood strong and stayed together
Despite the odds and the awful weather
Their homes all vanished from the scene
Not one left still to be seen.
Their shops, and houses, and all they had
Were nothing but ruins, how very sad!
"We still have our family and our friends."
Declared the brave ones, "To the end!"
They fought against the enemy pirates
Hand in hand they led a riot!
But, alas, the enemy was stronger
And could survive for much, much longer
Weakened, but not despaired,
They left their homeland, for which they cared...
They are not the Jetsams, nor the Flotsams
Nor the Kikos who bravely swam:
The majestic ones were the Koi,
Brave, fearless, their homes destroyed.
Their misery we should repay:
Three cheers for them: Hip, Hip, Hooray!

Baby Paintbrush Predicaments By Arcticfrost

When I heard of the Baby Paintbrush,
I thought, "Boy, that's cute,
I'll buy one and go paint my pet;
It'll be a hoot!"
So out I went to buy one
After much deliberation,
But I bought it without thinking
Of the possible ramifications.
Sure, it was nice for the first few days
But it started becoming hard to bear -
My good old pet was pouting and shouting;
It made my neighbours in Faerieland stare.
"Have this Easter Negg I bought,"
I said to my pet one day.
I was rather proud of it
(It cost my whole week's pay).
And how did my beloved pet react
Under the spell of that horrid brush?
He threw my Negg across the room!
It was nothing more than a soppy mush!
"You shout all day! You cry all night!
You break your toys, you're such a blight!
You throw your food across the floor!
But THIS!" I cried, "I will not stand for!"
And do you know just what I did?
I tried real hard to keep my cool.
I dragged my pet towards the market,
And straight to the rainbow pool.
"Paint him Checkered! Paint him Gold, again!
I don't care, just make him old, again!"
And in a puff of smoke,
My dear pet had returned.
I was glad to have him back,
And my lesson was learned.
But do you know what was
The first thing he said?
"Gee, next time you should make me
Pirate Instead!"

Furry bushes, Fire bushes, Glants galore,
Blumaroos with Dunkydoos and so much more!
Budseeds and Feather weeds are everywhere!
Dragonbuds and Atrabuds...
Their scent is in the air.

Bluebells are really swell,
And I like them a lot!
Lulus, Furrns and Ring Vines,
What have I forgot?
Oh yes, I know! The Blossoms!
And the Tami Veggie Plants.
And Plantmelons and beastly.
They're a favorite with the ants!

Spine Vines grow in dungeons, but others?
They just can't!
You should buy some Rowzez!
Or maybe a Rubber Plant.
Me, I like the Pebeanjays,
But I also bought an Instant Rose.
Hey you know that plant, the Spine Vine?
I hear it even glows....

Bluesticks, Sponderolas, and Chick-a-Daisys,
I really love each one.
Rock Tree's and Sunday Bushes!
Plants are SO MUCH FUN!
Colour Lillies, Morndongos,
And Perfume Mallows too.
There are so many plants to choose from,
which one is right for you?

They are coming from all ways
Even from the far off bays
They will get us in the end
They can do a backwards bend

Their piercing cry hasn't stopped
Lots of people have just flopped
The crying has gotten to their head
They just fall right on their bed

All these babies everywhere
Crying, laughing, they don't care
Should we feed them, or maybe
We should lock them up to see

But no, they are just little babies
They don't have the deadly rabies
They don't get it, you can't blame 'em
We just get through the time with 'em

Rock them 'til they're sound asleep
Then we won't watch them weep
Then we'll see they're really cute
Forget about giving them the boot

See, the quiet is already here
The sound of nothing to my ear
It is peaceful, that is true
Now no one will have to boo

The quietness is all around
But what's that, is it a sound?
It is getting louder, yes
They are stilling crying, I confess!

The Koi's Birthday By Cheyennejade

It was the Koi's birthday
And everyone was frazzled.
"It must all be perfect!"
The Koi demanded to be dazzled.

The cake was three tiers high
Bedecked with golden icing.
The balloons were every color,
And the sushi spread was enticing.

The table piled high with gifts
For the Koi's first birthday.
"I'm one years old today!" she cried,
"Everyone must come, eat, and play!"

They played pin the tail on the Moehog,
And the game of musical chairs.
"It's time to cut the cake!" said the owner,
The Koi dashed to her chair.

The lights went dim
The partygoers stood.
The cake was set
Amongst the food.

"Happy Birthday to you,
Happy Birthday to you..."
The Koi's eyes filled with tears,
As she made a wish and blew...
