Typical Lupes

It is a special day today,
Dedicated to Lupes:
The lovable, furry Neopets,
Known to travel in groups.

These creatures are most famous for,
Their unswerving loyalty.
Whether they're from Tyrannia,
Or of blood royalty.

Their favorite part of day would be,
The dark entrancing night.
Because they're captivated by,
The full moon's dazzling light.

A great liking towards Chias,
Seems to be in their trait.
It doesn't seem to be friendship,
But rather as a bait.

While this day is looked forward to,
With lots of activity.
It's probably wise to keep Chias,
Away from this festivity.

The Wandering Lupe

He prowls within a forest
Bejeweled in purest white,
As snow glistens like diamonds
Scattered in the faint moonlight.

His color serves as camouflage
Against the vast landscape,
And all foliage provides shelter
With a shrouded velvet drape.

And thus unseen he wanders free
From disquietude and strife,
Content to feel the earth below
And live a lavish life.

For it matters not the distance
This Lupe may choose to roam;
His heart will always find the place
He ever will call home.

The Secret of the Lupe

His fur sharp as bristles of pine,
Fangs that chew on things of mine,
A solemn gaze that shows no sign,
Of anger or content.

However cold he appears to be,
He bursts forth in battle to defend me,
And all the creatures he does see,
Bow before the mighty Lupe.

And when doors are closed and fires lit,
Upon my lap my Lupe does sit,
Clinging to his plush, chewed and bit,
And falls asleep, my gentle Lupe.

The Adoption of a Lupe

The Lupe hides in corner dark, 
Alone with no one to hold.
She feels like an object that's
Simply being bought and sold.

She looks around the Neopian Pound;
Some are hopeful, others sad.
For this is where the unwanted go,
Dreaming of lives they've never had.

There are other abandoned Lupes,
But none have stayed as long as her.
She knows not how long it has been,
Nor how much more she can endure.

She tries so hard to hold on to hope,
Of finding a family.
She hopes and dreams all day and night,
For a future she cannot see.

Day by day as time ticks by,
She watches others leave the gates.
And with a sigh, tears in her eyes:
"I wish it were me instead."

And then on the second day of May,
While she sits alone once more.
A Faerie spies her tiny form,
Hiding by the heavy doors.

The Faerie walks up to the little Lupe,
And smiles, bright as can be:
"Come along now, little one -
You're coming home with me."

The Ghost Lupe

All across forums,
Folks have complained,
Of a nameless ghost
that warns: "leave this page!"

Peaceful or angry?
Helpful or violent?
This is the quandary
Facing Mystery Island

But the natives will tell
When the day has gone past,
The howling begins:
The Lupe wants a snack

Chias are tasty,
Aishas are too,
But this a myth:
It couldn't be true!

The warnings keep coming,
Though they may be unwanted:
"Did you know that
Mystery Island is haunted?"

The sparkling white beaches
And sunkissed blue waves
Hide a frightening truth
That most took to their graves

A shipwrecked young Lupe
Under beautiful skies
Documented his last days
Trying to survive

The island held tribes
Of territorial folk
Strange natives, witch doctors,
And fiery ghosts

He and his passengers
Put up a fight,
They were finally captured
During a moonlit night

The young Lupe's final entry
Showed he wasn't deterred:
"I don't know what to do,
but I must rescue her"

Since that dangerous time
Two centuries ago
Mystery Island has changed:
It's started to grow

The natives aren't gone,
Just hiding away
And the ghost Lupe warns
Of more dangerous days

So if a random event
Tells you to "BEWARE!"
The ghost Lupe is saying
To please just take care

My Baby Lupe

My sweet Baby Lupe
With the mischievous grin,
How he tugs at my heart
When I catch sight of him!

Adventure calls
And from home he is driven,
But a glance at that smile
And all is forgiven.

I remember the day
He chewed up my shoes,
A beautiful pair
I was sorry to lose.

And there was the time
He dug up my garden;
One wag of his tail
Inspired full pardon.

Fearless and bold,
But a loyal friend too…
No wonder I love him
As much as I do!

Lupe Transmogrification Potion

A bought a special potion,
To give to my nice Lupe,
I thought it might be tasty,
Like a Beef and Veggie Soup.

He didn't seem to like it,
As he drank the potion down,
I could see it tasted horrid,
By the way he had to frown.

He told me it was nasty,
But he drank it anyway,
Because he knew how much,
I had really had to pay.

An expensive little snack -
But then a change began to start,
My Lupe looked across at me,
With happiness at heart.

He began to twist and turn,
And take on a new shape,
Soon he was a Mutant,
And he was really looking great!

He'd been after a colour change,
For quite a while now,
And I'd decided Mutant,
Was the colour I'd allow.

I bought the Transmogrification -
The Potion from Dr. Sloth,
Because I knew that this change,
Would really please us both.

Now my Lupe is thrilled,
And he's proud with his new style.
He's glad he drank the potion,
Even though it tasted vile.

Grey Lupe of Neoquest

Where pallid planes meet mountains tall,
Where seldom shines the light.
He stalks; a creature, dove in hue,
To blend in onyx night.

A silent footfall, every step,
Yet lingering, the gaze.
Twin orbs of gold, the only glow,
To seep through misted haze.

And there when midnight strikes at last,
And moonlight floods the sky.
The howl is thrown toward the stars,
Behold, the Lupe’s own cry.

A call to those who dare to quest,
To meet Lupe on his land.
Should one adventure in this realm,
They chance their final stand.

For who could meet the silver claws?
The gleam of steady eye.
The creature moves, one with the mist,
As midnight clouds roll by.

A coat of storm clouds, so it seems,
Grey hue, all colour flees.
For he shall move through boulders bleak,
And drift through snow-tipped trees.

Adventurer, I warn you now,
To plea! You must take heed!
To meet the Grey Lupe in the night,
The last thing that you need.

He moves in silence, not a sound,
So fluid each step shifts.
The wind will blow through pallid coat,
And lo, the grey fur streams.

For creature stalks the fools who seek,
Adventure without rest.
Beware my friends, the creature lurks,
The Lupe of Neoquest.

Ahoy! Buck Cutlass!

Arrrrr young scurvies, yo ho ahoy,
Buck Cutlass be my name,
Don't let those other pirates fool ya,

I was born to eat and eat,
All my life, I've loved my grub,
Put yer money where my mouth is,
Bet on Buck Cutlass in Food Club!

The other Pirates all be charlatans,
They know nothing about good food,
If you wanna be winning lots o' coin,
Bet on this old Lupe!

Gooblah Grarrl thinks he's the best,
He's in fer a mighty fall!
Pile my plate full o' food,
I'll wolf it down, plate and all!

Those Corvallios? Don't waste yer dubloons,
They be eatin' only small morsels,
I be the pirate to be a-feared,
Scoffing humongous portions!

What do yer mean, it's vegetables today?
I'm Buck Cutlass, I'll eat 'em quick!
Avast! Avast! Make the carrots stop!
This Lupe Pirate's feelin' sick!

Balthazar the Lupe

Balthazar the Lupe,
was abandoned as a cub,
he had to survive alone,
and find his own grub.

Finding a clearing,
he noticed some faeries in the distance,
having nothing to lose,
he asked for assistance.

The darkness faeries laughed,
taunting the poor Lupe,
crying and yelping,
Balthazar escaped the group.

Scarred for life,
from his ordeal,
bruised and battered,
Balthazar was never able to heal.

Becoming a Bounty Hunter,
with his tightly woven net,
and empty storage bottles,
for the faeries he became a threat.

Catching faeries at night,
without a hitch,
becoming a Bounty Hunter,
made Balthazar very rich.
