Faerie Quest

One night, Gorehog the Moehog lay
Resting his head,
When a shimmering Faerie appeared by his bed.
She had a look of elegance, of wisdom and grace,
As she spoke rays of light
Shone out from her face.
"Be not afraid, little one, I mean you no harm,
I want you to find me
An item I need for a charm.
What I need is a plushie, a yellow Kacheek,
I'll come back and collect it
At the end of the week."
And with that she vanished,
Just as she'd appeared.
Gorehog threw back his quilt and said,
"That was weird!"
"Funny," he thought. "I've never been on a quest.
I'll start in the morning: I need some rest!"
At dawn he began, searched every shop,
But all of them seemed to be 'out of stock'.
For days disappointed,
Having checked every town,
He spotted one last shop that was 'closing down'.
Inside was a Techo, not in good health,
He smiled and pointed to a far-rear shelf.
And on that shelf, found just in time,
Stood a Yellow Kacheek Plushie, gathering grime.
Clutching in his mouth the soft yellow toy,
Gorehog ran home, jumping with joy.
And the very next morning,
While he was still in bed,
The Faerie returned, just like she'd said.
She spoke: "Thank you Gorehog,
You deserve a reward.
I give you 10,000 Neopoints
And a Moehog sword."
Smiling, she turned: "You have passed your test.
I may return some day,
with another Faerie Quest."

Filling In For The Soup Faerie

With apron on and spoon in hand
Oh, the things I do!
Filling in for the kind Soup Faerie
Who's at home with the flu
Onion soup and beefy broth
One bowl, then the next
A hundred different flavors wanted
It's getting me quite vexed
My legs are sore, my arms are limp
Now *I* am feeling sick
That Faerie better drink her potion
And get back here awfully quick!
My Neopets are bored to death
But I don't have time for games
Volunteers must do what they have to do
(Although it's driving me insane)
Wait! What's that, I hear a knock
Could this work be at an end?
It's not the Soup Faerie I find at the door
But a package she did send
"Thanks for filling in today
You know I've been quite ill
But knowing that the soup is served
Much better do I feel
I know its hard work, serving soup
So enclosed there are rewards
A trophy and a free game pass
Good for any game you put it towards!"
A smile steals across my face
In the end, my day was grand
Helping others eat their fill
With apron on and spoon in hand.

Cheated

My Uni and I entered Haunted Woods,
hidden under dark cloaks and hoods.
We quickly and quietly crept by,
the Brain Tree's ever watchful eye.
The Esophagor moaned and wailed,
for another challenge had again been failed.
The scary cave loomed ahead,
a cave that many tourists dread.
But we were heading in a different direction,
much to my Uni's dissatisfaction.
Our destination was growing near,
as we approached, it we shuddered in fear.
Our destination was the Witch's Tower,
a place where an old witch
dwelled with her power.
As I knocked to see if she was home,
the rusty door swung open on its own.
We entered and found the witch by her pot,
we laid in front of her the items we had brought.
"We have brought the ingredients
that you needed,
we would like our reward," my Uni pleaded.
"I see you have brought my Negg and Perfume,"
the old witch said as she emerged
from the gloom.
She snatched the items in her greed,
"This is exactly what I need."
She hastily handed me an Almost Gummy Rat,
what kind of sick reward is that!
I had spent many Neopoints on what she needed,
and once again I had been cheated.
I angrily stormed out of the castle,
Getting those items had been such a hastle.
I held the Almost Gummy Rat in my hands,
and hastily made other plans.
