SLORG DAY SPECIAL
Slorgs! Slorgs! Slorgs!
by Autotune
Today must be a lovely day,
The sun's shining bright and clear,
But I'll tell you a perfect way
To further boost your cheer --
Just run down to the Haunted Woods
And drop by the Petpet shop,
And buy a Slorg, if you would --
He won't cost you a lot!
For, you'll never find a happier fellow
Than the ever-cheerful Slorg.
What more you'd need, I wouldn't know!
And soon enough, you'll want a horde...
Of slimy, spooky, lovely Slorgs --
Green Slorgs, Pink Slorgs, red ones, too!
Here's to happiness forever more,
To both your Slorg and you!

My Bright Blue Slorg Calculator
by Sugarypixiestix2
When I need an answer quick,
I know what exactly to click.
Its buttons are easy to use,
so it's difficult to misuse.
Maths can be very thwarting
and it's not really sporting,
Which is why I need a device
with a smile that's so nice.
The Slorg always seems happy
without being proud or sappy.
My calculator is like a pal
who has the right rationale.
Rescuing me from my mistakes
is its job if my head aches.
Blue is such an ideal frame
for an item that can be tame.
As simple as it might appear,
this counter is always clear.
Never does it waver or sway
once its sum is on display.

Slorg Slime Uses
by Dr_tomoe
Today we celebrate Slorgs!
The slimiest Petpets around...
With their happy, wide eyes
And faces that don't frown!
And, everywhere they go
They leave a trail of slime,
Which is slippery and gooey
And absolutely sublime!
While it might seem disgusting
And a pain to deal with,
Actually, Slorg Slime has
Plenty of uses!
You can cover your clothes
And impersonate Meuka,
Or slide past the ticket line
To go see The Hikalakas.
Use it as a paint substitute
To surprise the Art Gallery,
And get out of sticky situations
Like encounters with angry zombies.
Not to mention the cooking purposes --
It goes great with all sorts of food,
And making meals with Slorg Slime
Isn't just for witches' brews.
There are many more uses
For Slorgs' wonderful slime,
So gather all you can this holiday
And have a wonderful time.

Slorg Scissors
by Indulgences
The scissors open wide, then shut.
They grip the paper sheet.
They can't quite cut the sheet in half.
It is no easy feat.
The paper's damp, it's sadly warped.
The scissors drip with slime.
These scissors have destroyed the sheet.
It's wet and slick with grime.
You must insert your fingers in
The eyes to wield these shears.
They'll leave such gunk, such mucus, too,
That you'll be left in tears.
Enjoy the Slorg Day holiday,
But not these greasy things!
Go spend your hard earned Neopoints
On any other thing!

A Slimy Parade
by Psycho_skittles
Hooray! It's the day!
A progression of slimy Slorgs!
Today they are not pests,
But the most celebrated Petpets!
Watch as they go by
And cheer on this parade!
A classic Slorg, naturally green,
Grins as he slowly moves;
Another passes made of custard,
With the faint smell of sugar;
Or see the one made of gold,
Reflecting the glowing sun;
Perhaps the little plushie
You mistook for a lonely sock;
See the beaming princess,
With a tall crown and flowers yellow;
Avoid the snarling zombie,
Who begins to stray from the line;
With swishing hips the Island Slorg
Hulas enthusiastically along;
The pirate growls and skips,
Slashing with his tiny hook;
The rest go by in a blur,
Of red, purple, brown, and blue
At the end of this slimy parade.

Positive Affirmations Of The Slorg
by Jade__r
Have you ever given a thought
to how this gregarious little creature
traverses around Neopia
with its smile a permanent feature?
Well then, please keep on reading.
From day one they are hunted
by the busy Yurble farmer,
who created Slorg-B-Gone --
what a lovely little charmer!
And still, the Slorg keeps on smiling.
So, who could at all blame them
for being a little negative,
when all they hear from the masses
not one word that is affirmative?
And still, the Slorg keeps on smiling.
This comes straight from
the happy Slorgs mouth:
"We repeat many of these all day long
to keep our smiles slipping south,
'We are wonderful and meaningful creatures.'"
So, next time you think
to yourself What a "ghastly crew"!
remember their brilliant contagious grin!
We could all learn a thing or two
from the Slorgs who keep on smiling!

The Popular Slorg
by Binky1260
If you've ever chanced upon a Slorg,
Then you will surely know
That he leaves a trail of slippery slime
Wherever he might go.
And, whatever purpose that slime serves
No one can really see;
Though, apparently, it won’t affect
His likability.
Pay a visit to the Shop of Offers
Each and every day --
There’s a cheerful little Slorg there
Giving Neopoints away.
Buy one in the chocolate shop,
In grape gummy form,
And you’ll have a yummy avatar
That you can call your own.
And, if you attach a happy Slorg
To your favorite ‘pet,
In a hundred days, look up that ‘pet...
An avatar you’ll net!
No wonder he’s so popular
In spite of his slime...
He brings good things to all of us
Each and every time.

Feeling Slorg-ish
by Xrainydayx
Their eyes are wide, their tongues are pink;
Happy thoughts are all that they think.
Full of hope and dreams and a cheerful wish --
On Slorg Day all Slorgs feel Slorg-ish!
They parade through Neopia all day long,
Slinking and sliming but they mean no wrong.
They come in all colors and all of them rock --
Some of them even look like a sock!
They laugh and they play, it’s a really great day,
Not a single Slorg feels sad or gray.
They all settle down to eat their favorite dish,
On Slorg Day all Slorgs feel Slorg-ish!

Hide And Seek Slorg
by Yarslov
My Slorg thinks he is sneaky,
He thinks that he is sly,
He thinks I cannot see him
When he hides.
What he doesn't know --
Wherever he goes
He leaves behind a slime trail,
Which one cannot fail
To see.
I let him think I can't find him
And pretend to be in distress,
Then at the last moment
I find him!
He gasps
And laughs.
He crawls away,
To start a new game of hide and seek,
Leaving behind a slimy trail.
I now know he is hiding
Behind the pail.

The Story Of Slim The Slorg
by Hannahcreep
There was a little Slorg
Who was an odd shade of green.
Although he was a nice Petpet,
Everybody else was mean.
He was bought one day from the store,
Where all Slorgs are first sold,
But he was sold many times in other stores,
As the story keeps getting told.
His first owner was very sad
Because he didn’t want the Petpet he got.
So, he left him in the SDB
For the Slorg to eventually rot.
Then, the lucky Slorg was saved
And taken out of the Safety Deposit Box,
And then put into a small shop
That was almost always locked.
It was days before someone bought the Slorg,
Some say the owner even abandoned town,
But a sneaky cheapskate
Bought him for 10 Neopoints
And made sure he took the Slorg
When no one was around.
Oh no! the Slorg thought.
This guy is a scrooge!
I bet he’s going to sell me
With a price that’s too huge.
The owner of the Slorg
Went to the Trading Post,
Made a stand and said,
“I don’t want this Petpet anymore!
I will be very reasonable with this Petpet!
2,000 and he’s yours!”
The Slorg was appalled
That his owner would sell him so cheap,
But, luckily, he was sold very quickly.
Unfortunately, after he was sold,
He was shoved into a gallery forcefully.
“Let me out!” the Slorg yelled.
“Stop it, there’s no point,” said a Rock.
“He’s right,” said a Quetzal.
“Better listen,” a Peadackle squawked.
The Slorg watched as more Petpets
Came into the gallery.
All were lost and had no hope of escaping
But one day, the owner came in
With a bunch of paintings.
“Good news,” he said.
“I’m selling you all.
I’m going to dedicate my gallery to paintings.
Now, let’s go to Mystery Island to set up a stall!”
They were all sold in a trade,
But they were sold in groups.
The groups were organized
By how much they cost.
Oh Fyora, this poem is going in loops.
He wasn’t given to a 'pet.
No, he was thrown away.
He didn’t think it was by accident.
He thinks the owner thought he was a stray.
He wandered out of the garbage
And to Shenkuu.
How did he get there?
Even I don’t have a clue.
He wandered the exotic city,
But nobody noticed him.
He was just a poor Slorg
In a place with folks with big limbs.
He was wandering by the beautiful houses
When a blue Shoyru
Almost stepped on the Slorg and took pity.
He then picked him up
And brought him to a home
That looked very pretty.
“Mom, look what I found!”
The blue Shoyru shouted.
The human owner took the Slorg from him
And said, “He’ll make a great Petpet
To one of your siblings.
Although, he looks very slim.”
She fed him until he was a plump Slorg again
And then fed him three meals a day.
He then met Petpets who liked it here
And he thought, “Hip hip hooray!”
Then, one fateful day,
He doesn’t remember when
A green Kiko came in.
“What Petpet would you like to have?”
The human asked.
The Kiko looked around with a grin.
He didn’t want the Gnar,
He didn’t want the Poppit,
He didn’t want the Niptor,
He didn’t want the Fir,
But he looked at the Slorg and said,
“I want that one!”
And the Slorg started to tear.
As he walked upstairs
With the Slorg on his head,
The human asked,
“What’re you going to name him?”
The Kiko stopped to think.
He then said, “I think I’ll name him Slim!”
