Second-Hand Shoppe
by Theatreally
To the plaza I shall go,
To visit a store that we all know,
Which deals in wearables and such
Donated by those who have too much.
I enter, greeted by someone
Whose shy smile is an honest grin,
But then I am hit by the reek
Of all the dung covering what I seek.
I desperately refresh the page,
My despair turning into rage.
For, all I find are sacks and dung --
For Coltzan's sake! I'm almost done.
I leave the shop, sad and worn.
Like TDMBGPOP, I'm tattered and torn.
My dream treasures were naught but poo,
And now I need to shower, too!

Second Thoughts On Dubloon Disaster
by Outlander_
The homing mines surround me,
I have scarce room to row.
Closer and closer they creep --
If I don't row soon,
I will be dead meat.
There!
An opening...
I row with super speed,
Lean over,
Pluck the dubloon out from the watery keep.
Right when I grab my loot,
The Black Pawkeet shoots
Another mine my way.
Please, please,
A whirlpool come out to play!
So, it seems
The gracious Queen Fyora
Heard my plea.
A whirlpool gathers
And sucks in all the mines,
Phew!
I am safe for a time.

Gaming
by Theatreally
I don't know if I'm just bad at games,
Or if Tombola hates me.
All my high scores look kinda lame
Compared to those who play me.
Kass Basher is a nightmare
and Cheat! is just a pain.
Dar-BLAT!!! is a frustration
And Dice-A-Roo hurts my brain.
The Snowager is quite stressful,
But I can't let my 'pets starve,
So I force myself to play the games...
Ah, the things we do for love!
I think that I am bad at games,
Though it may seem crazy.
I'll gladly do it, anyway,
To feed my furry baby. :)

The Great Turmaculus
by Kawaiipeanuts
Laid in the grounds of Meridell
Is a Petpet large and big,
But it just sleeps there,
Lying aroung like a twig.
His name is the Turmaculus,
His slumber is really deep,
So your Petpet's purpose
Is to wake him from his sleep.
But waking him is hard,
He's like iron and steel,
The reason why it's hard?
He eats an hourly meal.
There's a chance
That Turmy might finally awaken.
He might give you items;
There's a chance your Petpet...
Might be eaten.
So, before thinking about waking him,
Is he really worth the wait?
He can eat your Petpet,
So come back on another date.

The Ballad Of The Battle For Meridell
by Neuroticat42
Gather ‘round, all you young Neopets,
and you shall hear
my beloved tale of fair Meridell --
a poor-yet-wholesome place so true
that its goodness surely could not be quelled.
For, while the villagers live their days in the vale, devious plans are hatched in Darigan Citadel.
In the farmlands to the north,
the young Usul named Sally
could not help herself --
she found poor wounded Mr. Scary
and had to nurse him back to health.
Then, while Sally did her best
to help with all that it entails, a gift was dispatched from Darigan Citadel.
The Court Dancer traveled there as a gift;
a token of peace between the lands.
All but one were enraptured by her dance
and played right into her graceful hands.
For, while the castle slept --
enchanted and so frail, onward marched
the fearsome army of Darigan Citadel.
Kass’s fierce forces
invaded poor Sally’s stead --
all hope would’ve been lost
if Mr. Scary hadn’t then realized
he was Lord Darigan and never to be crossed.
Then, while Lord Darigan turned them
on their tails, Lisha broke the spell
of Darigan Citadel.
King Skarl sent his forces out
to meet conniving Kass;
a mighty battle began and raged on.
The Citadel stood strong
and could not be breached
by a simple force of Meridellian brawn.
For, while the giant Petpets fought to no avail, Lord Darigan watched
the war on Darigan Citadel.
In single combat, Jeran met Kass --
but Jeran fell to the grass below.
Lord Darigan appeared to challenge Kass
and defeated the usurper with a single blow.
Then, while that day made heroes of avail,
the end comes for Kass’s rule of Darigan Citadel.
Kass was punished by the Three
and King Skarl’s kingdom
knew peace once more.
Jeran returned in the arms of Psellia,
the air faerie who causes hearts to soar.
Now, while Lord Kass allows order to prevail, happily ever after lives the land of Meridell.
