An Ode To Wonderclaw
by Painted_dreams87
In 2011, a new game was introduced
to the NC Mall.
Bigsby Shadington's Wonderclaw it was called,,
and all of Neopia stood in awe.
We rushed out to the nearest store
for a much-needed Neocash card.
We stood in the aisle and debated, because
resisting the urge to buy more was hard.
Finally, the time came to purchase widgets.
A 1-pack would never be enough.
A 10-pack was necessary
to obtain all more stuff.
We placed our widgets into the machine
and we moved the claw around.
We watched as a pod was grabbed
and, out of the slot, a prize was found.
First came fire and cloud,
but patchwork was right behind.
Months later came gothic,
soon after royal we would find.
We couldn't get enough of Wonderclaw,
and the prizes continued to come out.
Next came rainbow and pirate, and
we loved them all no doubt.
Underwater and tropical followed,
with Neovian and enchanted forest behind.
Baby, polka dot, gypsy, changing shades,
faerie, beach, and damask we would find.
It's clear that Wonderclaw
is not going anywhere.
Our 'pets will always have
something new to wear!

Jazzmosis Is My Life!
by Garret_lariviere
It was a cold summer evening,
most of the summer had been cold.
When you told me about Jazzmosis?
You'd swear I'd already been told.
Every night now, I find their CD on,
and playing smooth.
Smooth like the Grarrl,
playing the sax like a cool dude.
I wake up every morning, and I put on
one out of two of my Jazzmosis T-shirts.
Your day must be boring if you haven't heard
one out of two of the Jazzmosis's lead verse.
I live Jazzmosis, I breathe Jazzmosis.
Being without Jazzmosis
is like comedy joke-less.
Without their CD,
I mostly feel hopeless..
Jazzmosis on repeat, even as I wrote this.

My Faerieland Adventure
by Carolina_girl0128
My Faerieland adventure
Took me ‘cross the shores and sea,
Past ancient, darkened caverns
Into the heart of the beloved city.
It was there I was given purpose
From she, the Faerie Queen;
She sent me on a quest
To save Faerieland’s peace.
Threatened by forces, dark and great,
Such evil and despair;
Jhudora came to force her reign
And impose on all, her terror.
My Neopet friends and I, we fought
The daring and the brave;
We battled through the darkness,
Through turmoil and the rain.
“You cannot defeat me, I am too great!”
The wicked faerie cried,
She swept her staff of black and bleak
Across the moonlit sky.
The faerie kind cowered under
Jhudora’s malevolent spell;
But the good and graceful Illusen
Emerged bravely from her dell.
“Sister, you cannot scare us here,
Our love within is true;
The bonds of friendship between us all
Cannot be broken, even by you.”
One by one, we joined our hands,
Our allegiance formed the bond
Of happiness, of joy, and peace, together --
A bright light flashed, then she was gone.
The whole town leapt and cried,
“Hooray!” Peace is here again;
Next time Faerieland is threatened,
We’ll be ready and united we’ll stand.

Plight Of The Paint Brush
by Xrainydayx
Stripes, stars, spots, or checks,
Which paint brush color is the best?
Glowing, cloud, even electric,
I do not know which one to pick.
Perhaps a metal like silver or gold?
Get off my lawn would make me old.
So many colors from 8-bit to zombie,
Custard and chocolate sound very yummy.
Disco fever would be groovy,
Stealth looks like a scary movie,
I could turn back time and become a baby;
Royal might make me act like a lady.
Halloween and Christmas are too seasonal,
Living underwater would be unreasonable,
Scritchy sketchy is incomplete...
A pirate’s life could be pretty neat.
Alas, the choice is too hard for me.
Maybe invisible is what I should be?

Beware
by Bunny11790
So, you've decided to play Neopets?
Well, you should beware,
For there are plenty of dangerous denizens
Lurking in shadow there.
There's the vain Acara, Vira --
A pretty thing was she,
But she was her own downfall,
Now she's cursed for eternity.
Then there's Hubrid Nox, the Chia,
A real crazy one is he.
Living alone in the Haunted Woods,
MAGAX: Destroyer is his enemy.
Another villain from the Haunted Woods,
It's the evil Count Von Roo.
You'd best beware and lock your doors
Against this vampiric Blumaroo.
Then there's one of the best,
And by that, I mean the worst,
The evil, cruel Dr. Sloth,
By all Grundos is his name cursed.
Now we talk of Eliv Thade,
A Kacheek who died alone,
Crazy and unfulfilled, he still
Haunts the halls of his castle home.
There's the monster Razul,
Who cursed his city and his son, Jazan,
While the father quests for vengence,
The son quests for Amira's hand.
There's the Captain Scarblade, a pirate Lupe
Who claims to rule Neopia's five seas
And shares the five with no one,
Sinking merchants who dare to sail with ease.
Faeries are thought of as lovely and good,
Yet two have their names in the evil gallery --
The Darkest Faerie, called "The Betrayer,"
And Jhudora, who is alienated by her family.
Now we've come to mad Lord Kass,
Who rose to power after Lord Darigan fell,
And now he terrorizes Meridell,
Looming over the kingdom in the Darigan Citadel.
While not as evil as the rest,
The Pant Devil is annoying as can be.
He'll steal what's precious to you
And meet your frustration with glee.
You've been warned of major villains --
Beware, for there are more.
So, enter Neopia, my friend, prepared,
To face evil, the likes of which
You've never met before.
