POOGLE PARADE SPECIAL
The Royal Poogles’ Waltz
by Choquis
Dresses and robes sweep the floors;
Poogles file through the doors.
Circle around the shining ball room.
Light air wafting, sweet smell of perfume.
Happy music flows from string quartet...
all pair up to dance the duet.
Gallant gentleman extends a blue paw.
Pink hand intertwines, together they draw.
One, two, three... the dance begins,
stepping in time to the violins.
Swirling around while keeping the pace,
preforming their dance in excellent grace.
All together, they spin then lift,
then land down, so soft and swift.
They match their steps back to the beat
and waltz along with seasoned feet.
With one last spin, their dance is though.
They move apart and bid adieu.
Although the song's over, they still remain --
for, on Poogle Day, they will dance again.

Poogle Glow
by Indulgences
I have a glowing Poogle 'pet
Whose lovely looks I can't forget.
She's constantly inside my mind,
A shining creature so divine!
Her skin's aglow with emerald sheen.
She twinkles, sparkles, brightly gleams.
Her face is blessed with bright black eyes
I really, truly idolize!
So, Poogle Day is here at last!
My darling is of Poogle caste.
She'll get free training on this day.
She lifts her paws and yells, "Hooray!"
So, hug and kiss your Poogles now!
Shout out their names, be glad and proud!
The Poogles' day comes once a year,
So go ahead and loudly cheer!

My Quaint Grey Poogle Plushie
by Sugarypixiestix2
When I saw it in the Plushie Palace
I hoped it was not prone to malice,
since it looked so lonely and hurt,
as if someone had tossed it in dirt.
After picking it up off of its shelf,
it seemed to prefer to keep to itself.
Empathising with its big button eyes,
my heart answered its bereft cries.
A plushie's life purpose is to be held,
and that's what it had been withheld --
an owner who would love it sincerely,
treating it gently and not cavalierly.
So, I took it up to the shopkeeper,
who asked why I wanted a weeper.
Responding defensively I said this:
"This is the only plushie I want, miss."
With that, I paid for my new plushie,
jumping for joy like a Holiday Slushie
because I was so filled with elation
in owning such an endearing creation.

Shiver Me Timbers, 'Tis Poogle Day!
by Binky1260
Ahoy, mateys!
On Poogle Day or Pirate Day,
Thar be much to do...
We’ll sing a jolly shanty
And dance a jig or two!
Ye need not be a Poogle
To join in all the fun;
All buccaneers are welcome here,
Each and every one.
We’ll have a game of Tug O’ War,
Heave ho, ye lad and lassie,
And when 'tis done, we’ll have a feast
Of Strochal and Eye Candy.
So, bring yer Weewoos and Barlows, too,
All seadogs gather ‘round;
We’ll celebrate, me hearties,
‘Til last the sun is down!

Off To The Poogle Races
by Neolover123397
Come one, come all,
To Neopia's most thrilling place.
Head to the Faerieland stadium
And watch a Poogle race!
There, a red Scorchio will greet you
And tell you to place a bet.
Five Poogles race for ultimate glory,
So go ahead and pick a 'pet.
Poogle One is the favorite to win,
with speed beyond compare.
He's lightning quick and quite fit --
All his opponents beware.
Poogle Two is just a step behind
the prowess of Poogle One,
but if he can learn to keep his focus
he'll be the new champion.
Poogle Three runs in bursts of speed
but is no good at jumping at all.
Wherever there's an obstacle,
He tends to take a fall.
Poogle Four was once at the top,
a racer of great fortune and fame.
Now he's old, his glory days over,
Leaving him with nothing but shame.
Poor Poogle Five can't catch a break
and recently gained some weight,
but with a little hard work and exercise
he could be something great.
The Poogles line up, all in order,
then at the wave of a flag they begin.
Fans go wild and cheer for their picks,
but only one Poogle may win.
Craving a little excitement?
Itching for something new?
Then come to The Poogle Races
For pure fun through and through.

Moogi The Great
by Psycho_skittles
A distant day, long ago,
Atop an icy mountain.
Seven little Poogles
Race up the hill,
Ready to be the best,
The fastest in the land,
Prepared to win.
The horn blasts,
Snow pushed up,
Racing down the mountain,
Poogles tripping,
Paws flailing,
Dodging past them,
Prepared to win.
A flash of light,
A warm smile,
An old Poogle approaches,
Pinning a shiny silver badge,
A congratulations,
A spot on the team,
Path on to glory.
His name is chanted,
His name is known.
Moogi is here,
Prepared to win.

Poogledy, Boogledy, Boo
by Iciclefaerie05
Poogledy, Boogledy, Boo --
my Poogle has shredded my shoe.
Her very sharp teeth
have cost my poor feet
five thousand for Uni Faboo.
Poogledy, Boogledy, Boo --
A red Poogle hopped on thru.
He stopped to say hi,
left without a goodbye;
what does this event even do?
Poogledy, Boogledy, Boo --
Poogle One lost to Poogle Two.
They ran a fair race,
Poogle Four in last place
with Sneezles (the poor guy)... ACHOO!
Poogledy, Boogledy, Boo --
Alstaf was writing haikus.
The five syllabic lines
sounding truly sublime,
though the second he could not construe.
Poogledy, Boogledy, Boo --
"Trapper" Remis is feeling quiet blue.
His team lost again,
but eager to train
to win next year's bout of Yooyu!
Poogledy, Boogledy, Boo --
malevolent plushie Poogle taboo
from a fountain faerie quest,
though maybe it's best
to go for a plushie in lieu.
Poogledy, Boogledy, Boo --
this is the tale of Rutu:
the botanist who did aid
in hiding the Clockwork Negg
alone in a cave in Shenkuu.
Poogledy, Boogledy, Boo --
Poogle Apprentice is making a brew.
He met up with Edna,
which he regretted in measure
when he left as a blue Blumaroo!

Fifteen Minutes
by Subtler
you get fifteen minutes
to breathe
to eat
to drink
to celebrate
or to mourn
you get fifteen minutes
and in the stands
they shout and yell
and they put their money forth
with or against you
you get fifteen minutes
and the whole time
the crowd is changing
leaving and coming
betting and waiting
but to you they are the same
unchanging
a shouting wall
with or against you
you get fifteen minutes
(you get a little less,
accounting for the time of the race
and, if you're lucky, the time
on the podium)
and after those fifteen minutes
(or a little less)
you step back up
behind the line
between the others
(comrades and nemeses all)
you sink into the waves
of the cheering crowd
your heart beats with
the GO GO GO of your fans
your stomach churns
your muscles tense
and the trumpet sounds
and you lean forward
and the bell rings
and you burst forth
and the world is a blur
until the next
fifteen minutes

Can You Hear That Sound?
by Roxisurfrchick
Can you hear that sound?
What have we here? What have we found?
Here on the ground? Others stop and stare,
Because something is happening,
Some type of fair!
Oh my, how could I forget?
Today is the Poogle Parade!
And if you have a Poogle...
Today at the Swashbuckling Academy
You have it made.
So, grab your Ancient Poogle Face Shield
And run to the Healing Springs
If you need to be healed,
Or you can always just lounge in the shade,
At a Poogle race -- hopefully the one
You bet on runs at a fast pace!
If gambling ain’t your thing,
There are still things to make you sing.
Pop a Poogle Cracker,
Eat a piece of Starberry Poogle Cake,
Or you can even take a swim
With your Poogle in Kiko Lake.
It really doesn’t matter
If your Poogle is Halloween, jelly, or faerie,
They all still like to eat a bit of Jelly Poogle Jelly
And it tastes so good in their belly.
So, put on your Pirate Poogle Bandana,
Your Poogle Punk Jacket,
And have a bowl of Poogle Spaghetti,
Because today is the Poogle Parade,
And it only comes around
On the 19th of every September.
You really should try and remember!
You should listen to what I say,
'Cause there is nothing like
Being with a Poogle when they're at play.
It is only just this one day.
So now that I reminded you,
I think you you owe the Poogle some due.
Why don’t you read a book of Poogle Poetry.
Come on, why don’t you?

The Poogle Day Race
by Miraday
"Today is the day," he stammered,
peering at himself in the mirror.
Poogle Two desired nothing more than
to be the Poogle Day race winner.
Sure, the five Poogle racers compete
every day; one would assume they're jaded.
Yet, the honor to top the podium
on one's own day cannot be overstated.
Poogle Two knows he's expected to lose;
glory just falls into Poogle One's lap --
her uncontested sprinting velocity,
the way she glides across the track.
"I will seize victory today," he repeats
to himself as the other racers arrive.
Poogle Two had already been at the
track, warming up since sunrise.
Faerieland's elite are all in attendance,
and even Queen Fyora graces the stands.
The Poogles approach the starting line,
the pressure all Poogle Two can withstand.
"One lap, all or nothing, just one lap."
The Scorchio starter waves the flag --
and they're off! The Poogles swiftly
release from the gates onto the track.
Poogle Five immediately falls behind --
with the other four tightly curving
around the first bend together, then
the hurdles impede Poogle Four's running.
Poogle Two valiantly stays at the heels
of Poogle One while fending off Three
from the back -- the straightaway sprint
shakes off the third place Poogle instantly.
The last turn -- One and Two enter
stuck in a tie. One is racing effortlessly,
while Two's stride is an intense effort
to achieve the unlikely victory.
The final stretch: the two so close --
Poogle Two hustles with all his strength.
One and Two lunge to the finish line --
Poogle One inches ahead by a nose length.
Poogle Two sees the board announce his loss.
"How has all of my training come to this?
Extra workouts, unparalleled drive...
for a stereotyped second place finish?"
Tears well to his eyes as Fyora crowns
Poogle One the winner. The crowd applauds,
while Fyora turns and embraces Poogle Two
and says, "Why are you so downtrodden?"
"I raced my best and did not succeed --
I thought I would be Poogle Day champion."
"Oh, Poogle Two," Fyora calmly replied,
"Topping the podium is not the only way to win.
Being a Poogle isn't about adorning gold,
it's about doing everything with hustle and heart."
Fyora's words raced through Poogle Two's mind --
perhaps he could feel like a Champion, after all.
