DISCOVERY OF BRIGHTVALE SPECIAL

Beauteous Brightvale
by Binky1260

Brightvale, a beacon of knowledge
So aptly named,
Home of artisans and scholars
And a wise ruler famed.

Within its lush borders,
Luxuriant and green,
Lie precious treasures
The learned may glean.

Brightvale Books is a center
Of fine erudition,
Housing enlightening tomes
Of every edition.

A devotee of windows
Will rejoice at the sight
Of skilled glaziers at work
Crafting glass into light.

And the traveler in need of
Refreshment will find
Delectable fruits
Of every imaginable kind.

So, let’s celebrate Brightvale,
The knowledge cornucopia,
Shining bright like a jewel
On lovely Neopia.

My Elegant Brightvale Castle Dress
by Sugarypixiestix2

On the Discovery of Brightvale day,
I am going to a marvellous soiree
That will celebrate this wise land,
and my festivities dress is fanned.

It'll be a Brightvale Castle Dress,
which I'm hoping wows the noblesse.
With its main colour being green,
I'm not expecting to arrive unseen.

This evening gown was a true find;
it makes me feel sublimely refined.
When I tried it on I was in shock --
this dress tied to me like a lock.

No other outfit had fit me so well,
so I bid my other dresses farewell.
My excitement for this day is high,
in my castle dress I am never shy.

As it hangs on a post like a giant,
part of me is stirring with riant.
Unable to rest until I can put on
a dress that is fairer than a fawn.

The Land Of Knowledge And Wisdom
by Dr_tomoe

Many years ago today
A kingdom was discovered,
it had been there for ages
and its location had been recovered.

A day's ride from Meridell
(and their flying potatoes)
is a land where you don't have
to worry about flaming arrows.

No, this is a place
where brains beats brawn,
where books are read
from dusk until dawn.

The land of Brightvale,
with its bright green hue,
is where everyone has
a very high IQ.

The fruits of their knowledge
come from their books,
and plentiful fruits
made my skill cooks.

Where their skills are used
to make stained glass,
and motes are raised
to give battles some class.

Ruled by King Hagan,
known as the wisest of the wise,
where even his words
is their wheel's grand prize.

So, if you want a change
and want to go where brains matter,
Brightvale is your land,
you'll find there's none better.

The Window That Wasn't A Window
by Flufflepuff

Every time a door is shut,
A window may instead
Open. Such was the fateful case
Within the glazier's head.
His careful work and craftsmanship
Were hardly recognized
As much more than "aesthetic junk."
At once, he realized
The public would appreciate
That which they could use.
With wisdom on his furrowed brow,
He lit his forge and fused
The careful bits of iron, weaving
As only he knew how.
The Brightvale colors bold and bright
Would give his work renown.
The wings he'd crafted with his claws
Would bring the utmost pride
To Brightvale and its citizens.
He was the window guide,
Not limited to windows now.
The limit had been sealed
Behind a door, but through windows
New work had been revealed.

An Inquisitive Stroll Through Brightvale
by Shadowstitch

Today I feel like the wind is nudging
me toward Brightvale.
I don’t know why
it spirals and furls and rustles
the blank parchment protruding out of my
Explorer Backpack.
It hungers for knowledge
and I wouldn’t mind a taste.
This world of scrolls, potions, and
even a combination of the two
strikes a scholarly nerve,
the Neopians in cloaks and garbs
weaving and writing and crafting
art more profound than display,
battle and artistry and literature
and the occasional hobby, who
dare not venture into a fine study of
Not-So-Disgusting Dung Uses?

On the horizon of rolling hills
stands the Brightvale Castle, with
verdant green roofs perched on
ivory-glossed spires.
There, King Hagan -- who values
knowledge and virtue -- demands wisdom.
“I believe that wisdom is
like a hungry Turmac.”
His eyebrow raised and he
hands me a copy of
King Hagan and sees me off.

I dig my fingernail into a crisp
page and whisper the words that
the king uttered in reflection of
his pursuits. They ring with regalia
and passion: “My thirst for wisdom
will never be quenched as long
as the fountain of knowledge
continues to flow.” I close the book
and retrieve my parchment and
quill. The wind bounces the ink
pen from side to side until letters,
words, then a phrase emerged:
“Today’s stroll at Brightvale further
made my desire for knowledge
all the more insatiable.”

Patriotic Miles
by Chavo_guerrero

"Fly the flag of Brightvale
With patriotic pride.
Let them see our banners!"
The fanatical Draik cried.

Wearing green and white,
With a gold star on his chest --
Only dependable Miles
Could be so faithfully dressed.

An advocate for Brightvale
When not beside his wheel,
He'll wear the colours proudly
And shout with allegiant zeal.

"Brightvale is the only place
That cares if you are smart,
Our books and scrolls and teachers
Are all state of the art!"

His cries can be heard everywhere:
Upon Brightvale's lanes,
From high upon the castle wall,
To the dungeons filled with chains.

"Fly the flag for Brightvale
And be proud of our green home!
Fly the flag for Brightvale,
Where forever we can roam!"

Why Brightvale Is The Best Kingdom
by Likelife96

Meridell has its castles and knights,
Its stale cheese and ugly sights,
But, worst of all, sitting at the helm
Is its grumpy king who rules the realm.

The Citadel isn't that much worse;
It used to be better before that curse.
It's a brutal and strange world up there,
And with Darigan, it's best to beware.

But fear not, for Brightvale stands near --
A beacon of light, bright and clear.
It's home to scholars from any walk of life
And the amount of knowledge here is rife.

Its king is wise without a doubt.
(Unlike Skarl, that lout!
King Hagan is better in every way --
Smarter and, well, more handsome, if I may.)

And if these reasons hold not much sway,
Then there is nothing more to say.
Go feed your Petpets
To that overgrown Turmac,
You petty little uncultured hack.

Brightvale Tankas
by Codswobble

Pristine stone walls rise
Out of the ground like a tooth
From the gum they grow
With turrets topp'd with small flags,
A wise smile back down at you.

Around you're spinning
A constant, ceaseless movement
A brief halt for me
And a small prize given out
Thirst for truth now continues.

Odd vials bubbling
One contains fight and spirit
And another less,
Can one bottle be chosen
If you should fear the contents?

Stained pages loose and
bound cover the inside from
the roof to the ground,
Where lies what you are seeking,
Knowledge in its purest form

Brightvale Specialties -- Their Fruits!
by Jeslin__62

Brightvale:
At the mention of this place
Others might think of
Their wisdom and knowledge,
But I am the special one,
For I am thinking of their mouthwatering fruits!

Red, yellow, orange;
Round, oval, love-shaped,
They come in different colours and shapes,
Yet I can assure you
That they are all delicious and unique!

Have a look at the Sroom Fruit,
Looking so much like a mushroom,
But stop there,
I'm not sharing them with you,
For I've eaten them all!

Don't fret,
I have some Strypedillo left,
But remember!
It goes best with vanilla ice cream,
So please get some
From Adee before you feast!

Next, I present you with the Skeem,
A tangy sweet fruit...
Oh, are there rocks in the middle?
They are the seeds of the Skeem;
Careful that they don't break your teeth.

Now, this might be the most curious fruit of all,
Magenorb it is called:
Sickly sweet, super sour, one just right.
Which one will you get?
Every bite is a surprise!

Last but not least,
You thought Brightvale fruits
Can only be eaten?
How wrong you are,
For the Furanga Fruit
Can be used to clean the chalk off blackboards!

Curious now, aren't you?
Hurry up and visit Brightvale
To get your juicy fruits today,
For it is Brightvale Day,
And who knows, you might get
Twenty-percent off the price?

An Ode To Brightvale Motes
by Usagi_bianco

The Ash Mote’s just a pile of soot,
Burnt to the ground right underfoot.
When a harsh wind blows it won’t stay put,
It’ll get into your eyes.

A Bubble Mote might wash it out,
Found near springs and water spouts,
But be careful when you’re splashing about --
They’ll pop, so say goodbye.

Just your luck -- you’re down in the dumps.
You flop onto your back and land on a lump;
Fierce fumes and flies accompany this clump.
A Dung Mote, you realize.

You stumble upon a Salt Mote, why not?
Rubbing and scrubbing your back a whole lot,
Something at least to get rid of the rot.
Salting your own wound, I would not advise.

This visit to Brightvale was quite a struggle --
Motes lying around in heaps and in huddles.
A Zen Mote is needed to ease all your troubles.
There are safer lands nearby.
