Time Zone Problems
by __miasmummy__

Why are you all going to sleep?
I'm wide awake, it's only 8.
I've bought my stocks, I've made my bets --
It's barely even getting late.

I feel like chatting but you're all gone;
It's awful quiet I'm all alone.
What to do now? What to do?
I know, I'll visit the Battledome.

Alright, that's done, I've got my nerks,
My 'pets are in training and my shop has stock,
I've already played my favourite games.
I look at the clock... tick tock, tick tock.

I know what I can do right now --
Those Kads are hungry,
There's food to be found.
When's the refresh, work it out...
This is so much easier with no-one around.

Now my eyes are feeling droopy,
I've fed those Kads and they're looking content.
The pillow is calling and I've had enough,
I'm saying good night
As you're saying good morning.

Cavern Glow
by Trubiekatie

When I am down in Moltara,
I admit it’s awfully dark.
Wandering through the streets,
Just waiting for a spark.

There’s a soft and constant glow
That flows from one small shop.
Given all this darkness,
I simply must make a stop.

Inside is the kind Lampwyck,
The mastermind of it all.
He’s the shop’s owner;
The one who mans the stall.

He is gifted with making light,
From lava to steam power.
His work is durable, too;
It can always last the hour.

Even Siyana was impressed,
That cunning light faerie.
But let’s not talk about that
(Lampwyck can be quite scary).

His lantern shines the way
While I walk around this town.
So, thank you dear Lampwyck,
For helping me around!

A Pool Full Of Colors
by Sprinklesmixer

Pastel and stealth, wraith and zombie,
There are so many colors we want to be.
Some are rare and some are not,
But nobody wants to be painted snot.
Sixty-three different brushes and
So many more zappable colors,
Like 8-bit and custard and alien galore --
So many colors and so many more.
To get the ones that we want
We must work hard,
Neopoints by the millions
Or a Random Event.
Some are so lucky as to get electric,
But we all are the same with the same deed.
We all want a beautiful 'pet
To call our own.

Ode To My Lesser Healing Scroll
by Reewuh

My Peophin and I had a reputation
of seeking alternative medication
from the Healing Springs in Faerieland
after my 'pet had tried her hand --

or hoof, I should say -- in the heat of battle.
I’d tenderly pull off her battle saddle
and carry her across the ocean
for a cool, sweet draught of healing potion.

Raring to go, she’d spring back to the 'Dome,
but come limping out with a cry and a moan.
Then we’d hobble back to Faerieland
just to get a snowball made of sand.

I was loath to blow my Neopoints
on knitting her repeatedly mangled joints,
so I purchased a Lesser Healing Scroll
and, lo and behold! Her hit points were full!

Full hit points in the throes of battle?
My goodness, who needs a battle saddle?
She can bounce back up when stricken down,
wipe the grin off the face of the Chia Clown,

take a hit from Donny’s Hydro Hammer
that crushes her full body armor,
but if she just unrolls her healing scroll,
its ancient wisdom makes her whole.

Perhaps some day when she is stronger,
a greater scroll would sustain her longer,
but for now she’ll proudly rock 'n' roll
with her beloved Lesser Healing Scroll.

The Sway
by Kayixu

Dear valued agent of our clandestine league,
Things have gone very well for us, indeed,
But it’s not a surprise
That we are now under watchful eyes.

The public grows suspicious --
It turns out there were some glitches
With our plans.

Information has been leaked
And now, it is time for us to meet
Once again.

Some agents will be sent to masquerade,
We’ll find how this suspicion can be swayed,
It’s what we do.

Pretty soon, we’ll just be rumor,
Though I should’ve held this meeting sooner,
We are running rather short on time.

We’ll meet in the dark of night
And discuss how to escape the spotlight,
Make sure you’re not followed.

We’ll find out what they know,
Then they’ll vanish like a ghost,
And have amnesia when they’re found.

We shall meet
On the following date
And, as I write this, I drink some tea.
P.S.: Don’t be late.
