The Mediocre Pea

I'm a mediocre pea
But I want to be super,
With a long red cape,
Knocking bad guys in a stupor.

Being mediocre doesn't help my cause,
Nor does those lending a Super Attack Pea,
Because of the full amount of collateral needed
As stated in their clause.

It's understandable, of course --
Being super isn't cheap,
And it isn't a goal
That one should easily reap.

So, I blame only my owner
For me not being super.
He doesn't care enough to attempt
To fund my biggest life goal,
Although he didn't mind 
Paying thousands
To remove his unsightly mole.

So, while he shows off a clear complexion,
I guess I'm stuck being just mediocre
Until my owner starts caring,
Or I find an impeccable broker.

I won't be "useless" or "pathetic" this time,
Because beware my mallet

On Mystery Island.

Watch out, Arnold, because I'm ready to show
My new strength and skill

Anything for a Slorg, a shirt, a snout.
I'm walking up now, so hide all your doubt.
I grab the large mallet and take a nice swing...

Every six hours, I'll know where I'll be.
Back at Test Your Strength, 
And next time I'll prove
I'm not a weakling.

The New And Improved Bone Flyswatter

Seldom foregrounded on shelves, 
Tens upon tens lay,
Gathr'ing dust, being called "junk"
Until one fateful day:

When every flyswatter of bone
Was changed by TNT --
A transformation much needed,
Which no one could foresee. 

Behind the foregrounds and boxes
Containing small, pink goals,
The heaps of flyswatters shimmered,
Casting off the old

Label of their uselessness. 
Such an incredible,
Complete change has just been made:
It's now a wearable! 

Pesky Moquots everywhere 
Had best beware, steer clear
Of clacking bones that signify
Their end is very near.

All Neopets now have a chance 
To arm themselves and swat
Away with a tool of worth: 
Faithful, no matter what.

Sweet Treat!

Chocolates, chocolates, such a delight!
The temptation sure is hard to fight.
Big or small, they are a treat:
Milk, white, dark, all will eat.

The Chocolate Factory is simply huge;
I don’t know which chocolates to choose.
The kind JubJub will lend you a hand,
As long as you don’t get restock banned. 

Chocolates are for all occasions, 
Surely you do not need any persuasion. 
Chocolates are great as gifts,
Hopefully you get my drift. 

I can never buy just one at a time, 
Eating them all, I’d considered that a crime. 
These treats are my guilty pleasure, 
Feeling sad or happy, it’s a one stop cure. 

I always need to have a chocolate at hand,
If not, Ill go crazy like Xandra 
And destroy Faerieland.
Keep the chocolates safe without a delay,
If not Dr. Sloth will turn them 
Into sludge in just one ray.

Give it a try, you won't regret,
Just a bite, its no sweat.
It gives me great joy to share them around, 
Especially to the unprivileged 
At the Neopian Pound.

Need I say more?
I admit, chocolates are what I adore.
Now that I’m done eating my snack,
Its time for me to hit the sack.

Something To Say

Another year is almost gone and past,
And here I am to think, at last,
Of a memory that has been created
And, boy, is this one dated.

I started thinking of when
My Neopets account first did begin.
This happened quite long ago,
But here I am still, though.

I was young, perhaps eight or nine,
Just browsing through the great online.
When I came across this new little wonder,
"Neopets.com, what is that?" I pondered.

Just one little click and a new world showed,
Full of "Kaus" and "faeries" aglow.
More words appeared that had 
A funny and silly taste on my tongue.
"Dubloons? Draiks? Is that a pile of dung?!?"

I started to explore,
Knowing "Neopets" was 
Much too interesting to stop at the door.
I came across the largest globe,
"Yes, yes, I must continue to probe!"

Terror Mountain practically froze me to fright,
While Faerieland was a beam of light.
Neopia Central was a neat little package,
And I thought to myself, 
"This site is far more than average."

There were many more sites to see,
From "The Lost Desert" to "Happy Valley!"
I laughed at each new place,
With a smile that never felt out of place.

The Games Room was full of, well, games;
"Hasee Bounce, Turmac Roll,
And Hungry Skeith!" I exclaimed.
It was right then I found out 
What made this site special,
Before I had even made my account official.

The creativity was wild and pure,
Leaving nothing but happiness 
In the heart, for sure.
To me, as a young one, 
Imagination was everything,
And Neopets,well... they nailed it.

So, as to where this poem was going...
Sorry, my writing just started flowing!
Dear Neopets, I needed and wanted to say:
Thank you, for bringing the child 
Out of me since the first day.
