The Month Of Celebrating
by Sharnee_sparkle

This time is long awaited,
Merriment begins once more;
Joy lurks throughout the land,
A wreath dangles from each door.

Carolers bundled warm and cosy,
Singing their festive tunes;
'Pets relaxing with Neggnog,
Left for owners are dirty spoons!

Displayed are yuletide sales,
Tempting buyers everywhere.
Unsure of what their 'pets would like,
To other customers they compare.

Daily, 'pets are excited
For their Advent Calendar trips,
Which give out lovely goodies
Like chocolate and toy ships!

Neohomes get into the spirit
And put up decorations crazy --
Santas, Raindorfs, elves and sleighs...
No one is ever lazy!

Seasonal outfits won't go amiss,
Many items out there to obtain,
Just ensure the clothes are warm,
For snow has fallen again!

Weather's perfect for skating,
Play the fun Rink Runner game,
Or start a fierce snowball fight:
I hope that you have good aim!

Why not take a holiday?
In the Terror Mountain realm
It stops all grouchy feelings,
For the happiness can overwhelm!

Terror Mountain's Village
by Thewishingtree

In the mountain of terror,
Or so they say,
Lies a small, cozy village
That goes by the name
Of Happy Valley --
Rather unfitting for a mountain of terror,
Or so they say.

But in this little, happy land
Neopets are frolicking in snow,
Skating and sliding,
Sipping slushies and snowball fighting.

Happy Valley, the merry land...
Celebrations, they abound.

Happy Valley, the snowy land...
Where else for snowmen all year round?

Happy Valley, the sugar land:
Ice cream, slushies, frozen treats!

In the month of Celebrating,
Come to see the Advent Calendar!
A special gift each day,
Till after the giving comes and goes.

In the mountain of terror,
Or so they say,
Lies a small cozy village
That goes by the name
Of Happy Valley.

Her Tower
by Ephemeral_love

You wander past the twisted trees,
the barbarous roots quivering, waiting
to ensnare any wretched soul visiting
the witch's den, her formidable abode.
This tower, standing in shadow.

You breathe in quiet staccato gasps
as you ascend the unending staircase
and consider fleeing from the sorceress' lair,
but the search for that elusive avatar
has led you here
to Edna's tower, standing in shadow.

You enter the witch's tower room, finding
her shrouded in darkness
and hunched over a cauldron --
a stagnant mixture, malachite green.
She fixes you with her treacherous gaze
and the concoction begins to bubble and boil.

You watch her lips open and a voice emerges,
ancient, yet more terrible
than the Esophagor's moans.
Her trembling voice
demands a Snorkle Pudding,
Pumpkin Cookies, and a Quiggle Pie
to create a monstrous
amulet of Chia charming.

You feel a chill crawling up your spine and
shake your head in a hesitant refusal.
Edna's eyes widen and a mottled hand rises,
as you shiver and shrink,
sure that you will never leave
this tower, standing in shadow.

You twist away from the glowing tendrils,
building around her form, and stumbling down
that winding staircase,
you flee from Edna's curse.
You think the Brain Tree will be more benign
than the malefactress in her tower,
standing in shadow.

Count Von Roo
by Mrsmomble

While exploring Neopia
In the darkness of night,
I discovered a creature
That truly did fright.

Wings like a bat,
Teeth long and sharp,
A cape long and flowing
That shimmered in the dark.

He offered a challenge...
The dice would I throw?
I licked my lips nervously;
Which way would this go?

Closing my eyes,
I shook the dice hard,
They fell with a clatter --
I jumped a full yard!

My hands on my eyes,
I looked down at the floor.
Had I survived?
What was the score?

I let my breath go,
For, with luck I was blessed.
As for that creature,
He had failed his own test.

Since then I have learned
Of the creature that night.
T'was Count Von Roo
That gave me such fright.

Should your paths cross
And he challenges you,
Don't be afraid,
For you may win, too.

You Are Invited (To The Perilous Catacombs)
by Darkpixie28

You are invited
To the catacombs deep,
Where terrors small
And large do creep.
Where silence chills you
To the bones.
You’ll hear whispers in eerie tones.

You are invited
To these endless floors,
With lurking dragons
And talking doors.
Where there hides
Many a hidden cult,
And a plethora of horrors to make you bolt.

You are invited
To a labyrinth of old.
Hidden, but beckoning
To the bold.
Monsters are waiting
To eat you, or worse.
More likely than not you’ll be hit by a curse.

You are invited
To a mysterious maze
That’ll turn your vision
To an ominous haze.
If you fear Spyders
You shouldn’t come near,
And you should be warned
That the Meepits are here.

You are invited
To an ancient vault.
If you get sleepy,
It’s not your fault.
Treasure awaits,
And the beast you seek.
But these tunnels are not for the meek.
