TYRANNIAN VICTORY DAY SPECIAL
A Prehistoric Victory!
by Dr_tomoe
Victory for Tyrannia!
A cry goes across the land,
as the prehistoric Neopians
cheer with their fans.
For this day marks when
this ancient land achieved
victory over their invaders
that came by land and sea.
The great beasts, back then,
by heroes were vanquished,
and now today we celebrate
and together reminisce.
We feast on Tyrannian food,
we celebrate among the jungle trees,
we shall even spend our time spinning
the Wheel of Monotony.
And with our thoughts in the past
we shall dance and cavort,
and admire its amazing
new style artwork.
For, victory back then
means you can achieve victory
with your faction for the oracle
on the battleground today.

The Mighty Commander
by Trubiekatie
A ferocious warrior, too,
He needs not fight this war.
Despite the obelisk craze,
He settled his one score.
It was not with the factions,
But another, larger foe.
Held in the early Year 3,
This war seems like ages ago.
Grarrg, the commander,
Led a team to fight the beast.
The war raged for weeks
Before it finally ceased.
That Monoceraptor
Was defeated, after all.
I think he would argue
It was a rather close call.
After all the fighting
Came Tyrannian Victory Day.
I wonder for the obelisk;
Will there be one for The Sway?
Whatever happens now,
Grarrg, here’s to you!
Enjoy the Obelisk war
And watch the chaos ensue!

Sabre-X's Reflection
by Coookie18471
Sabre-X looks over the Tyrannian plain
And contemplates his long-held reign,
Over the lands of stone and rock
And the jungle full of birds that squawk.
Sabre-X once was great, once was needed;
His help by the Tyrannians was pleaded
To beat back the Monoceraptor, that vile beast
Who swept in from the northeast.
The Tyrannian War happened
And all hailed the Lupe,
Sabre-X, the head of the Tyrannian troops.
But then the war was finally finished,
And thus, Sabre’s power was diminished.
No one cares about poor old Sabre-X now;
They only come to him for chow.
Only his omelette gets any love,
Even though the Tyrannians he is above.
So, my friends, drop by the plateau
And give a boost to his ego,
For he is sure no one remembers
The debt that Tyrannia owes to him.

Remembering The Tyrannian Victors!
by Actorkerry
Monoceraptor!
The call sent shivers through us,
The young of Tyrannia,
Who feared being eaten
That very day!
Our visions of the monster
Were every bit as fearsome
As it was itself;
Our nightmares of its claws
Ripping us in two!
The leaders of our Tyrannian tribe
Seemed to know just what to do;
We young were sent to hide
Beneath our beds,
Afraid beyond our tears!
Wails filled our hiding space
As we heard then gruesome sounds
And grunts and shrieks
Of fighting...
To the death for some!
Kyruggi and Grarrg
Barked orders for hours,
And Saber-X and Plesio
Took turns as our guards...
If only we had known!
Tekel worked with Myncha
Devising various schemes,
Eventually encircling the
Beast of our frightful
Dreams and of our reality!
When the beast fell at last,
And the earth shook and rumbled,
Cheers were heard throughout
Tyrannia, and our tears
Were now of joy!
And, every year upon this date,
We gather at the town hall
With heads slightly bowed
To honor all our elders
For Tyrannian victory!

Remembering The Tyrannian Victory
by Anandapia5
Twelve long years have come and gone,
But I still remember it like yesterday,
And though the young pets
May scoff and yawn,
They can’t know the glory
Of Tyrannian Victory Day.
It began when Tyrannia,
After centuries behind ice,
Became connected with Neopia again.
And, while this may seem beneficial and nice,
The newfound connection
Brought newfound pain.
It soon became clear we had lost our peace,
For we then were invaded -- you’ve never seen
An army so endless; the waves never ceased.
Our lush forests were now
Just trampled green.
But we defeated the waves,
And as we began to relax
The enemy’s leader, the Monoceraptor,
Came stomping and roaring,
What horrible climax,
For we found ourselves
Beginning to lose this war.
But just as we thought
That we couldn’t possibly prevail,
Our general gave a speech
So inspiring, so glorious...
We charged at the monster,
And what an inspiring tale
These exhausted troops make,
For we emerged victorious
And so, on this day, after all these years,
I still walk to the Tyrannian loam,
Where even now my ears can still hear
The sound of my army defending our home.
