Neopets Attitude

I had to miss a day this week,
Of Neopia, unfortunately.
So, this is how I realized
Just how grumpy I could be.

I had a busy day ahead,
So set the alarm to accomodate.
Doing my dailies and faerie quest,
Without running late.

So much for that brilliant plan,
My alarm I did not hear.
Now, without my coffee and Neopets,
The tone of the day was clear.

I was scowling at the receptionist
As she asked about my day.
Only thinking of stocks I'd missed,
I turned and walked away.

Sitting and waiting an hour now,
Past my appointment time, you see.
Made me get all riled up;
I could be feeding at the Kadoatery!

The dentist asked a question,
His hand in my mouth, as usually. 
I looked in his eyes as I bit him,
For making me miss Wheel of E!

Next on my agenda --
The big box shopping, yippee.
While dreaming of the Lab Ray,
I tried my sample, carelessly.

So much for the new filling,
Back to the dentist it had to be.
It was obvious as I walked in,
I was the last person they wanted to see.

Let's not rehash the incident
Of tripping at the hardware store.
I gave them all a piece of my mind,
Went back and gave them more!

On my way back home again,
Dinner still left to make.
There goes my last chance for Neopia...
How much am I expected to take?

I wish I had a BGC
To clear a path ahead.
I should not even be here!
I should be in Neopia instead!

I know all of this has happened
Because a morning without Neopets.
Starts my day off on the wrong foot,
That's as simple as it gets!

Into The Bubbling Pit

The road through modern Maraqua 
weaves past shops of polished coral,
and is plainly there for all to see.

Follow it closely at first, 
but make sure to leap off soon.
Far beyond the common path
lies waiting what you seek. 

Tumble toward the ruins,
into that old and hidden world --
a world no longer ruled by mortal kings. 

It is a realm obeying only two:
the laws that govern time and space,
and the magic of the ancient deep.

Tucked inside that realm,
adorned around by sunken treasures
and remnants of heroic fallen ships,
sits a chasm always bubbling.

The colored orbs emerge from it
and drift upward, somewhat rhythmically,
as though the breath of abyssal spirits.

Strange voices distorted by the depths,
Faint shadows glide 
amid the eerie emerald glow,
all life submerged, 
and you the newest relative.

Miles beneath the sunlit shore you stand...
Face away and seek 
the comfort of the solid shore,
or else descend into the Bubbling Pit 
and find where lies its core.

Attack Of The Revenge

A gentle gust drives my sail,
The seas are once again at rest.
My ship, The Black Pawkeet, divides
The waters as I travel west.

My name, notorious throughout Neopia.
I never lose, I always win.
Bother me and I'll sink your ship.
I'm none other than the swift Garin.

But skies do not remain calm;
The sea must finally awake.
What once was ripples now are waves
That cause the entire boat to shake.

And suddenly, out from the fog
Approaches a massive, Grarrl-sized ark.
Prepared to protect, I draw my sword.
Who would attack on a night so dark?

Then, I saw, and I understood.
In the mist was Scarblade's crew.
They've come to steal The Black Pawkeet,
Drawing closer 'til in plain view.

The floors once scrubbed, now a battlefield.
Captain Scarblade here to avenge.
The battle between me and him
Is the Attack of the Revenge.

Zafara Contentment

I love my little Zafara,
Although she's painted green.
Another color is my fave --
Another one's my dream!

So far I've kept it secret from
My tiny little 'pet.
She doesn't know what I have planned.
She doesn't get it yet!

I saved and saved for months and months.
I bought a paint brush new.
I hope my little Zafara
Will like her brand new hue!

Which color did I pick, you ask?
What color looks the best?
I bought a Christmas Paint Brush for
A look that's pure and blessed!

A golden circlet for her head
And robe that's white and chaste.
I hope it makes her happy and
I hope it suits her taste!

Meeps In The Night!

It's so very dark outside.
Plenty of shadows to hide.
There's a monster about,
You have no doubt,
And a scare it will not be denied.

You've seen it before,
Just behind that door,
And in the corner of your eye.
You've heard its whispering sigh,
Heard its claws on the floor.

Its eyes are bright
With malevolent delight.
At the window, a scratch.
You jump; what's that?
And pull the curtains tight.

You jump fast into bed,
Looking for those eyes of red,
And that enourmous grin
That beckons you in...
You try to shake that feeling of dread.

But, what's the use?
Your fear won't vamoose!
Your stomach's in a knot;
Is that door locked?
Oh, what a scaredy goose.

It's the same every evening,
Such tales you've been weaving.
Come on, use your noodle.
There's no such thing as the MSP Poogle.
Now there's a thought that is pleasing.

Instead, think of a creature
Ever so much sweeter.
And there is a blink
In a pale shade of pink,
Oh, what joy... what a pleasure!
