I hear a song in the distance
The sweet music of my blood
The pack is on the move
The Lupes are on the hunt
In the highlands they sing their song
notes floating upon the breeze
to be flown across the hills
and beat with the rythm of my soul
I can feel the vibrations beating in my heart
calling me to follow in the chase
playing among the trees
The wind blowing in my face
My heart beats faster thinking of my friends
Oh how I long to be there
running next to them
leading the hunt under the moon
but my half of heart belongs here
lodged with my owner
who treats me with respect
and loves me like her own

Kougra's Eternal Hunt By ChouKawaii

The wind stirred a sharp moist blade of green grass.
The Kougra wiggled where he hid.
The peaceful prey, fixed in his eyes like glass.
Blinked shut curtains were his eye lids.
When all of a sudden the Kougra leapt,
Grass springing, spraying morning dew.
He pounced upon his prey, fangs bared, except,
Of the attack there was no clue.
The Kougra landed on the Kau grinning.
"Mooo!" cried the Kau with a brief start.
"I won again, Kau! There is no winning!
Not for you! Even though you're smart!"
With that, the Kau tickled him with no mercy.
The two friends tumbled down the hill,
giggling, as plain as the eye could see.
This Kougra and Kau could not kill.
They laughed and played many games until
The sun disappeared from the sky.
It was time to go home. A knowing smile
said this isn't the last goodbye.
