When I get tired of gaming,
Or excitement just can’t be found,
I often find my way over
To check out the Neopian Pound.

I slip behind the other owners
And try not to be seen,
All of the 'pets on display
Look so incredibly keen.

Seeing the 'pets get adopted
Always gives me a smile.
But I was not expecting
What was at the end of the aisle.

A cute yellow Bori,
So cuddly and sweet.
I started to rush over
And almost tripped over my feet!

When I make it to the end,
It’s already too late!
She was already adopted,
And only a sour feeling awaits.

But when I saw the light in her eyes
And the owner who did get her,
I knew deep in my heart
That it was for the better.
