The Month of Gathering

Summer is nearly at its end,
As the leaves begin to fall,
And soon the flowing tides of time
Will sweep them away in measured chimes,
And winter will heed the call.

But till then, Neopia waits,
For the month of Gathering’s here,
We’ll tie up all the loose ends,
Collect, assemble, buy, and lend,
Meet winter in good cheer.

So we’ll throw away all our woes
And never mourn summer’s flight;
We’ll watch the leaves, falling, falling,
And far away, winter’s calling, calling...
Cloaked in autumn’s light.

Illusen’s Glade dressed in tawny hues,
And Neopia Central’s wide pathways,
Wearing crimson mantles, yellow specks,
Glistening dewdrops, rare, flecked,
Take the breath away.

The summer’s fading, but memories we’ll keep,
And we’ll make many more,
Days lie ahead, idle hours,
So we’ll gather up the fallen flowers,
And walk on home.

The Water Kyrii

Is a lovely sight to see,
And it really has transformed the look,
Of the elegant Kyrii.

With waves running through the hair,
Plus bubbles and foam at all sides,
The wonderful Neopet that's thus painted,
Is nothing if not full of tides.

Made of pure water, now fancy that!
What a beautiful creature it is now!
All other Neopets from all of the lands,
Just stand back and shout out, "Oh, wow!"

The Maraquan Neopets from all around,
Come to see their new friend,
All are eager as they can be,
To offer any help to lend.

And the proud new water Kyrii,
Holds its waved head high,
He knows that he looks gorgeous,
For his heart then starts to fly.

As everyone gasps in wonder,
At the newest paint brush yet,
And the lucky handsome Kyrii,
The only water Neopet.

I Love My Squishy Sludgy!

I love my squishy Sludgy
He's so slippery and brown
With his goofy, silly smile
It becomes difficult to frown!

I just love how he oozes
How he drips, slushes, and slops!
I adore his buggy, loving eyes
With every drip and mucky drop!

We make other 'pets so jealous
As we march proudly through the street,
They stand in awe with open maws
With my Sludgy near my feet!

You may say this is very gross
And many still think it shall, 
Even though he's Sludgy, slimy and brown
He's always my bestest pal!

Bug Eye McGee
