Farewell, farewell to the Altador Cup,
You know we love you so.
This dreadful time comes 'round each year
When all teams must pack and go.

The Yooyus gather together for
One last time 'round the field,
And the players support each other
Before the winning team is revealed.

The audience yells and makes some noise,
And slushies are slung all around,
And other than in the land of Altador,
No Neopians can be found.

We all must bid farewell to you,
To all our players and games.
The fact that you go away each year
Is such an utter, dismal shame.

But rest assured we will remain faithful
And practise until you come 'round next year.
And we'll showdown with shootouts
Until we drop, if only to have you near.

Oh, Altador Cup! We bid you goodbye!
A fond and sad farewell!
You'll feel our love all the way
From Virtupets and down to Meridell!

So long! So long! We await your return!
With patience we will gladly tarry!
And we will grieve for our lost Yooyus,
But once you return we'll rejoice and be merry!

For now please shine that golden trophy,
Ready the prizes that you have in store,
But do not think that we tire of you,
We are always and forever ready for more.

And for now we shall be contented
When released are our Staff Tournament picks,
And this time of year will go down in history,
As the glorious games of Altador Cup VI!

On behalf of many Neopians today,
I'd like to take this opportunity to say
thank you for the wondrous things
and all the joy your wearables bring!
Cheers for the added possibility
of winning the customisation trophy.
It's pretty hard to get the winning set
to adorn my favourite pet,
but with your ever-changing offerings,
It's not as daunting, so I don't fret.
So it's a big thumbs up from me,
and most other people will surely agree,
that your addition to this site
has graced us with a fresh delight,
and has fulfilled our biggest wish --
to make our pets look uber-swish!

So, jolly good job, TNT,
you've made me very glad indeed!
It's been another great year, for one and all,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, NC MALL!!!!

The Finals

Eighteen teams, ninety players,
all of them seeking one conquest,
one honour, no other alike:
Winning the annual Yooyuball contest!

Goalies, forwards, and defenders,
training, working, hoping
to prove themselves worthy contenders
to the sixth AC title.

Thousands of fans in ecstasy,
lifting their arms and letting their voices out.
"This is my team's year!"
You hear their enthusiastic shout.

Yet the euphoria nears its final days
as the second round closes,
the Finals are eyed with an ambitious gaze
by all, all eighteen teams,

all ninety players, and all thousands of fans,
yet, regrettably, there can be only one,
Only one to proclaim glory, only one
To scream proudly, "I've won!"

But if you're not that one,
don't moan and be saddened,
because despite the results,
you must remember what happened:

The effort and the close matches,
your team's successes and surprises,
your goalie's fantastic catches;
the moments of anxiety and joy alike.

So let the fans cheer,
let the confetti dance!
If this wasn't your year:
Remember there's AC VII!

The Acara Nurse

Starched white pinafore
That is so crisp and neat,
But without her headband,
Her outfit would be incomplete.

When you feel unwell,
Just look for a green cross,
And you will soon feel swell
Due to her tender care.

She is my favourite nurse;
I don't know about you,
But when my nurse is a Gelert,
I begin feeling rather blue.

This is one thing I know:
There are some who distrust her.
Their customisations show
A nurse so gross and creepy.

In the Haunted Woods
The nurses may look like that,
But who would go there for medical care?
They are infested with Barbats!

Go to the infirmary instead;
Any bad opinions of nurses
Will fly right out of your head
When you meet the Acara Nurse!

The Final Round

The crowd holds its breath --
waiting for the final stand,
the very last round.

The two teams emerge --
the final round has begun,
and there's no way back.

Each captain tenses --
waiting for the Yooyuball,
waiting for their chance.

A plain brown Yooyu --
flying across the wide field,
almost in the goal.

Saved by the goalie --
throwing the ball back to them,
the crowd cheers and boos.

Players dive for it --
a Team Captain emerges
from the thick, brown dust.

He throws it across --
into the other team's goal,
right before time's up.

The crowd loudly cheers --
how I envision the last round.
Who will win this year?
