Can You Spot Me?
By Iridaceous

In Meridell's fields I often dwell.
The summery weather suits me well,
I think you are surprised to know,
As my kind normally prefer the snow.

Can you guess what I am?

You may think that I'm quite odd,
But I confess, I love to trod
Through the aromatic strawberry patch
And even gobble up a batch.
Amidst the luminescent green
And ruby red, I remain unseen:
Indeed, to see me is quite hard,
For I am slyly camouflaged.

Can you spot me?

Glinting leaves upon my head,
Yellow specks embedded in red,
Gem-like blossoms on my bow
With tiny petals white as snow.

Do you see now?

I'd rather doze in sunlight
Than ski down mountain heights.
Ice and frost are not for me!
I'll wander ever, joyous and free --

For I'm a strawberry Bruce.

The Faerie's Ruin
By Crk524

Her hair flies wild in the wind
As 'cross the land resounds
The wrenching crash of Faerieland
As it crumbles to the ground.

In her eyes, a manic gleam,
Her power grown tenfold.
The traitor, she the Faerie's Ruin
Proclaims, now tall and bold --

"The faeries have forsaken us!
They perch aloof with greed;
Their powers spent on lavishness
While here we're all in need."

"Was I to sit and watch time pass
And let their control grow?
Neopia was in dire need
Of me, their new hero!"

Around her wrath and fire reigns,
Wind shrieks up in the gale.
As faerie clouds writhe and dissipate,
She knows she has prevailed.

Across the charred battlefield,
Xandra smiles and extends her hand.
To the chorus of smoke and Crokabek screech,
She whispers, "Please understand,"

"Together we can create a world
Better than anyone could conceive.
It's time for you to make your choice --
The winged tyrants or me?"

Borovan Variety
By Pansyparkinson14

Enjoy the taste of Borovan,
But tired of the same old thing?
Then try some different recipes
That will make your taste buds sing!

Perhaps some Borovan brownies?
Can you even taste the chocolate at all?
Perhaps not the most appetising one, but
Surely this recipe does not appall?

Or maybe try the flavoured Borovans,
There's orange, apple, and mint too,
They really look quite delicious,
Better than Borovan crepes or stew.

The Borovan tarts and pies
Are interesting but not so bad,
Though the taste of asparagus
Is a little strong by just a tad.

The Borovan ice cream is quite perfect
For those who like frozen treats,
While the Borovan chicken
Is ideal for those who prefer meats.

There's a recipe for every day,
And for every type of Neopet,
So go on and try a bit of everything,
It's something you won't soon regret!

The Cave
By The_relentless_storm

Striped with white and striped with blue,
Serpentine body coils in slumber,
Frigid breath and shards of teeth,
Tongue that flicks with frozen dew,

Eyes that burn with cold emotion,
Ruthless heart terrors all alike,
However, with divine devotion,
To the hoard upon which it sits godlike,

The icy blast of speared fury,
Scaled tail, sleek with rime,
Jaws that snap, entrap, and crunch,
Terrible, sparkling, majestic glory.

The cold draughts carry the scent of prey,
Sitting, waiting, feigning peace,
Brave venture, aware not to stray,
To the maw in which their lives would cease.
The fingers brush against the trove,
Anticipation, impatient mind,
Fatal move to get too close,
Fatal to step into the alcove.

The frosted glare, brighter than sun,
Lights the eyes of the giant beast.
The roar that taints the gold haven,
The freezing fire that is unleashed,

Spitting element of frost,
Harsh, coarse grating cold,

Repels the heroes once gallant and true
Escape with their lives,
Yet reduced to the shamed.

New World Order
By Psychoskittles

Sitting high above us all,
Watching as we stumble, fall.
Never stopping any war,
Never challenged, not before.

Artefacts multiply her power,
Bringing an end to faeries' hour.
Now is the time to rejoice,
Raise our cries in a unified voice.

Xandra has brought a new day,
Hanso has joined, troubles away.
A brave new world of a new order,
Take their weight off our shoulder.

Faerieland has fallen from the sky,
It is time to live, not to die.
A new world made just for us,
Act now, no time to discuss.
