The Windows Are Open By Mimatoi

But someone shut the drapes.
The drift of the wind passes you by,
And chills go down your spine.
You open the drapes,
To close the windows.
You use all the strength you have, but it wouldn't close.
You quit. You know you couldn't do it.
You stare out the window
And notice an Angel.
The angel opens its wings,
And you notice an object in its hand.

The object is not to round,
But definitely not a square.
It makes a noise,
Like the low note of a piano.

As you look into the Angel's hand,
the object melts.
You wonder why,
So you look harder.

As the object slips away,
You notice something inside you is wrong.
Something's missing.
Something that makes you "you."

As the Angel raises its hand,
You notice the object was gone.

You soon notice that the object was yours.
It belonged to you.
That object was something special.
And it completed you.

No it wasn't your personality.
Not even your knowledge.
Could it possibly be your thoughts?
Maybe it was your happiness.

As the angel came closer,
You began to think.
You began to think of that object.
What was that object?

The angel whispers in your ears,
Love, pain, kindness over and over again.
You suddenly fall to the ground,
Noticing what you've been missing.

That object was your heart.
As you realized that,
The angel fades away.
Repeating, those words.

You suddenly think,
Could this be a test?
Could this be a dream?
Could this be a trick?

You go to close the window.
You did it.
You Cheer, but suddenly stop.
Was the angel teaching me something?

Words suddenly go into our head.
Go for it.
Don't Quit.
You can do it.

You then realized that the vision you saw was for a reason.
The angel was telling you to prove your love.
You look through the window and see the angel shaking it's head,
Whispering the words you did it.

So maybe the angel can help you through your life.
Maybe it can help you pass a test.
Who knows?
You're only a Neopet.

Love Notes By violachick

A blank, white wall
stares down at me,
unblinking
Like the cycloptic eye of a
lunar moon

Restlessness
shifts through pages
of tired thoughts
that fear being awake
the longing,
a bittersweet sorrow
and love
tied togethor
nested inside

Close to breaking through
(how I miss you!)

Life means nothing if not spent with you
Close to your sweet
smell of soap
and music

But now,
the thought of you
is all that comes
through long nights
and endless days

Why did I go,
When you were so near?

The day I left,
a weight pressed down
You weren't there,
you did not call
(why not?)

Was it the sound
of your breath,
stretched out over a phone line
that made me like you so?

And I'm left to wonder,
How did you stumble and land on me
Only to fall again
(in love
maybe?)

Lament of a poor Neopet owner By Quicksilver78

I sit by my keyboard,
Praying for a miracle,
That I will find a rare codestone,
Or the Faerie Queen.
Of course I don't.
In a rage, I auction every item I have,
It is no good.
I am stuck in the middle,
Too poor to give my pets a good life,
But too rich, and proud, to qualify for help,
Too rich for the last resort,
The soup kitchen.

Rich By justins_gurly

I once had Neopoints
Blowing out my ears
I spend them on anything
I bought my pet some gears

I put everything in my shop
Spending every point
Then one day I had nothing
Not even a point

I had blown all my points
On useless junk
Now my pet is starving
Bored and turning into a punk

He's stealing stuff
From other pets
I wish I could help
But I be like the rest

Could do nothing
Nothing at all
I couldn't buy anything
Not even a ball

So when you are rich
Don't blow it like me
You'll be glad that you didn't
You'd be happy, unlike me.
