Please Take My Tears
By Yoyote
So many come to you each day.
Such heavy longings come your way.
You hear them all, not asking why.
Your waters almost have run dry.
You look at me, all silent-ish.
But I haven't come to make a wish.
I've only come to give a gift.
And I won't stay long. I will be swift.
This gift I've often had to hide.
It comes from very deep inside.
It feels like fire, looks like ice,
And never is the same way twice.
I cannot bear the way it burns.
So cruelly slow with many turns.
It needs a bigger vault than mine.
It needs stone walls, so it is thine.
Please take my tears, dear Wishing Well.
Within you they will lose their spell.
Against your calmness they will slide,
And into darkness they'll subside.
You open into streams, I know.
With you my tears will safely go.
Please take them where the rainbows are.
Please take them now, and take them far.
Please take my tears, dear Wishing Well.
Please take them far... I'll say farewell.

The Lament of Caylis (from the Music Box)
By Symbolism
I see the stars tossing and turning
in their cloudy cradles rocking high above.
I feel the moon struggling to keep
folds of craters from the window,
though they hit the glass
like foam-consumed waves.
I hear the sullen gait of weary feet,
a hearty yawn sent off a tired tongue.
I feel the tears taking the place
of the dust in this room,
the dust falling to the ground
like little inconspicuous empires,
some dynasty of Spyders might have cast away.
And here come the little grey trembling fingers
to wind me into song again,
to see me lying stagnant on my cold stone,
to hear my old lament begin.
Nightmares, nightmares,
how silly you look crouching by the walls,
struggling to see your own stealthy feet,
caught fleeting and breathless in
that motherly moon's embrace.
Nightmares, nightmares, have you ever fallen?
My mind runs with many gravelly roads,
and each one leads to another forest of night.
Those little grey trembling fingers
always find a time to rest,
but here I remain sending my lament
through the dark,
taming a restless heart of stone
that might have been beaten
by those foam-consumed waves.
Nightmares, nightmares,
what distress you cause a slumbering world,
for they lock up their doors and windows
each night and yet you stumble in
like little burglars of dreams.
Nightmares, nightmares, there is a little star
above this world that, although
New and unfamiliar to his galaxy,
has not tossed or turned in his little cloudy cradle,
who has been wished on by
A little trembling voice tonight.

A Plushie Jetsam Sock Puppet Performance
By Anjie
Curtains sewn, quite amateur,
With tiny jolts do part.
Screeching,
Scratching,
Separate,
The show's about to start!
Spotlight falls on ragged form,
The moment doth arrive!
Flopping,
Sagging,
Stitched right up,
A sock that seems alive!
Jetsam teeth made from white felt,
Eyes formed of buttons bright.
Dancing,
Singing,
Monologue,
He exits, off stage right.
"Encore!" calls adoring crowd,
He pops up from the blue.
Bowing,
Slipping,
Sock slides off,
Alas! What's one to do?
Sheepishly, behind the stage,
A Jetsam head does rear.
Blushing,
Grinning,
Fin is bare,
"I dropped the sock!" you hear.
From the floor he grabs his toy,
The puppet lives once more!
Dancing,
Singing,
Parading 'round,
The crowd does clap and roar!
Curtain falls, the Jetsam bows,
(The sock bows too, I guess.)
Different,
Strange,
But sometimes things
A sock can best express.

Sir Cheekalot's Shields
By Soaringeagle25
Hailing from a land unknown
But a warrior is his earned title,
Giving shields to deserving squires
For every battle deadly or vital.
His Training Shield he would give
To those who need learning strength,
Learning skills on the practice field
Rising to the top from beneath.
Receiving his Trials Shield
Means you are on the path
To that of a warrior's name,
If you survive your foe's wrath.
A Battle Shield he shall give
Those who have faced opposition
And triumphed in the face of death
Despite an unlikely position.
Now the Ultimate Battle Shield
Takes not just strength but courage,
A steely eye and intelligent plans
And a big heart for the voyage.
Sir Cheekalot travels all the land
With his shields of purple and steel.
This Kacheek's generosity is well-known
By knights chivalrous and genteel.

The Travelling Hissi
By Dragonstorm_75
The ever-shifting sands,
Like infinite hands,
They bear home
To the Travelling Hissi.
He slithers to seek out,
He cannot live without,
Water to quench the thirst
Of the Travelling Hissi.
Sweet water, so bubbly,
Sweeter than honey
To the thirsty maw
Of the Travelling Hissi.
Each day brings a new quest,
New travels, new rest,
Yet all is the same in the eyes
Of the Travelling Hissi.
