TECHO DAY SPECIAL

I Won't Attend this Techo Day...
By Anjie

I won't attend this Techo Day...

I have a bunch of reasons here,
On why I shouldn't go.
A list of genuine complaints,
(I'm not just mad, you know!)
Logic very well thought out,
It's not my 'thing', you see.
Techos and I do not mix,
So why? Well bear with me.

I won't attend this Techo Day...

Doctor Death does spring to mind,
Ah yes, you've seen him 'round.
That ghastly, creepy, soulless thing,
Who stands outside the Pound,
Taking in the homeless pets,
The sort that none do keep.
He feeds them, cares, and... wait a sec!
Perhaps he's not a creep?

I won't attend this Techo Day...

Fine then, look at Buzzer Game,
It drives me up the wall.
That Techo with his metal loop,
I can't play well at all.
I've spent an hour trying too,
(That avatar is sweet!)
I guess it gives me things to do,
And goals I should complete.

I won't attend this Techo Day...

Techo Master, so serene,
He thinks he knows it all!
His wisdom hasn't done a thing,
Or helped me, I recall!
Though he's trained me, I admit,
To battle any foe.
I guess he's not the biggest fiend,
As far as Techos go.

I won't attend this Techo Day...

I was a little hasty here,
In saying I won't go.
The Techo crowd seems pretty good,
I guess that now I know!
Perhaps the Techos aren't so bad,
I was wrong, now I see.
Techo Day, the party starts?
Hey guys? Just wait for me!

A Lesson with the Techo Master
By Yoyote

Another class has just begun.
The master is dancing in the sun.

Dark robes, green skin, rough white hair,
Graceful as a windblown tree,
The master shows his art to share,
Every movement brisk and free.
The students watch, enraptured, there.

The forest arches overhead,
A green and secret canopy.
Carefully the students tread,
For concentration is the key.
The master poses, lifts his head.

No more questions, practice time,
The students get in groups of three.
The master moves from line to line,
Checks and nods and corrects... "See?
Within the strength there must be rhyme."

The students learn to be calm yet spry;
Deliberate is the way to be.
The hours pass severely by,
Sliding on into the sea.
And all too soon it is goodbye...

Until the next class, fairly soon,
After the rise of the mystery-moon.

The Clockwork Techo
By Soaringeagle25

Shiny green plastic, red spots
With a metallic turning key,
A cheerful smile painted on
And joints that move rigidly.

Wind the little knob like so,
Then place him on the floor.
Beep! Rattle! Click! Clack!
Off he goes to the door...

Bent arms move with a jerk,
Moulded legs then follow suit,
Wobbling, waddling, swaying
With an important air, astute.

Proudly marching, staring ahead,
Mechanisms click and whine.
Undaunted by any obstacle
Only moving forth in a beeline.

But lo! All fun must soon end.
Whirring gears began to slow.
His plastic grin doesn't change,
Though his feet no longer go.

Franchisco Corvallio: Techo Fiend
By Concertogreat_8

One lonely day on Krawk Island's grim shores,
An ancient fisherman did perk up and bray,
"Lemme tell ye a story, mates, what ye say?"
And such did it go...
Franchisco Corvallio -- mighty Techo brave!
One o' a pair, he fights not wi' a stave,
But instead with only his grim-set mouth;
When you see him, things are likely lookin' south.

From Krawk Island, food-tester extraordinaire,
Franchisco Corvallio, he comes always in a pair,
Never wi'out his brother, Frederismo the Folly.
Folly o' what? Well, o' anything, by glee golly!
Such is his name -- a mouthful -- appropriate,
For a member o' such class, from stem to pit.

Franchisco Corvallio, how did he win his name?
Me assure you, not in an ordinary sort o' game.
For Franchisco -- as a poor mate's known --
Was once a Techo o' no fancy renown.

He and his brother, they grew up poor,
Alone on the beach with sand for a floor.
Two punier lads ye folks never did see,
Till one fateful day when all of a suddenly...

Franchisco, little thing, leaped out o' his seat,
An' he pounded his fists to an invisible beat.
An' he yelled out,
"Frederismo, my brother! We've gone all wrong!
We simply ain't singin' that there right song.
To be brave and courageous, tough and long,
We'll need to ignore our fear, have a strong desire
For all of Neopia's most dangerous foes' ire."

(By this we think he meant the Food Club, hear,
For d'ever ye hear of somethin' more t' fear?)

With one simple sentence, Fate's iron bell rung,
Tyrannian Peppers all quivered where they hung.
Ten days on, Neopia's finest were all gettin' creamed
By Franchisco Corvallio, Pepper Eatin' Fiend.

The Island Techo
By _Razcalz_

Island jungle, lush and warm,
A game beneath the trees.
Techo sat with narrowed eyes,
Device upon his knees.
Battered sign hung o'er his head,
"The Buzzer Game," it read.
The Techo called me for a game,
"Let's test your skills," he said.

Single wire across the stand,
A rod of metal in my hand.
"Guide that hoop," the Techo said.
"Touch the wire and you lose. Understand?"
I slowly steered the metal hoop,
The Techo blinked and blinked.
The movement broke my focus:
BUZZ! I hit the wire with a clink.

"Apprentice! Focus!" the Techo said,
And let me have another try.
Concentrating, steady hand,
To force the hoop not run awry.
Then the Techo's eyes did bulge,
They glowed an eerie red.
I gasped and looked up in surprise,
BUZZ! came the sound I dread.

The Techo smiled a mocking smile,
"One more try for you, then."
I vowed to keep my eyes off him,
This Techo shan't succeed again.
I was determined to guide
That metal hoop 'cross wired route.
And then I saw some falling fruit,
BUZZ! YOU'RE OUT!

"You fail the test," the Techo said,
A smirk upon his face.
I furiously turned to leave
This wretched, wretched place.
I've come across so many Techos,
Unique to each their own.
This Island Techo 'neath the tree...
The most annoying one I've known!
