I was standing on the highest cliff in all of Neopia with my
trusty parachute on my back. The sky was clear and the sun was as hot as a biscuit. The wind
whipped my tail around like a flag. A bead of sweat trickled down my green, furry face. I was
nervous. It was now or never or never or now--I could never remember which. All I knew was
that I had to jump or else. I looked back and they were coming closer. I could hear them
calling my name. "Sylvester! Sylvester!"...

...they yelled as I jumped. The one thing I didn't want was for them to catch up with me.
Did I slip or fall? I wasn't sure--either way I was off that cliff, falling nearer and nearer
to the bottom. My heart pounded with fear, and I swam in my own sweat as I realized that the
bottom was full of sharp, pointed rocks. Suddenly, I remembered my parachute. In the blink
of an eye, I reached for the string to let my parachute out. Pulling the ripcord as hard as
I could, a brisk feeling of security swept through my motionless body, just as the parachute
caught air. Once again, I looked down at the pointed rocks...

...and suddenly realized that there was nowhere there to land! "Out of the frying pan, into
the fire," I thought to myself. I could hear those bullying Skeiths still on the cliff,
laughing as they saw my predicament. "Why me?" I asked myself, "What do they want with a
little green Kacheek?" Luckily, I still had a long way to go, and I began to look for a place
to land. Suddenly, I saw something red moving in the corner of my eye. As I turned to look...

...a sudden gust of wind blew me across the blasted landscape. "At least the Skeiths will
never catch me now," I thought. As the gust died, I stopped moving with the wind, and began
to float down again. Looking down, I couldn't believe my luck! There was a spring almost
right below me! I landed and ran directly to the spring. I was very thirsty, so I drank as
much water as I could. It was great. The water was perfect: cold, clear, clean. But as I
was drinking, I noticed a shadow behind me. I turned around and saw that the shadow belonged
to...

...a Grarrl. I quickly looked for a way out of this jam. I looked to the left, but it was
blocked by rocks. Behind me was the spring. The only way out was into the forest on my right,
so I made a break for it. As I ran I could feel the Grarrl's hot breath right behind me,
biting at me the whole way. I ran and ran until I came to a cave. I entered the cave as fast
as possible, but when I got some light in there, I saw there was a...

...huge pile of ice, surrounded by tons of rare Neopian items. The pile was none other than that
of the Snowager! Somehow I must have accidentally crossed the Tyrannian Forest right up into
the Ice Caves! Coming back to reality I suddenly felt a hot breeze on the back of my neck. I
didn't have to look to know what it was; it was the Grarrl who'd been chasing me. I had no
choice but to enter the cave and hope the Snowager was asleep. Luckily, I had just enough time
to slip into the pile of items before the Snowager awoke. Stunned by my sudden movement, the
Grarrl came around the corner looking for me. He didn't even see the Snowager. I'm sure luck
was on my side, because the Snowager saw the Grarrl by his pile of items. Suddenly, the
Snowager shot his neck around and faced the Grarrl. The surprised Grarrl looked up and tried
to bite the Snowager on the nose. The Snowager was very mad now! Knowing he was in trouble,
the Grarrl went for the exit, with the Snowager's long neck and head following dangerously
close. I used this diversion to escape, but before leaving I managed to take a couple of
strange Amulets. "These might come in handy if I get into trouble again," I thought to myself.
As soon as I left, I ran into a very mean looking Skeith. I'm sure it was one of the Skeiths
that had chased me off the cliff. Soon I was being followed by a whole pack of them. With a
huge growl, the leader of the Skeiths jumped in front of me and...

...pinned me to the ice cold ground, so hard I could feel the Amulets wrenching into my back.
That's it! I reached down and grabbed an Amulet. "I think you need to cool off!" With that,
a blast of wind and ice hurdled through the air and into the Skeith's face! "That was a dumb
move!" said the Skeith. He then leaped up, allowing me to scramble to my feet. "I challenge
you to a battle!" said the Skeith with a grin, "By blasting me you have challenged my
leadership! To defend my title as leader I must defeat you. Besides, beating a pipsqueak like
you will be a pleasure." The Skeith laughed an evil laugh that I wished to never to hear again.
By looking at him, I knew he was stronger, so I'd just have to outwit him. A blue Skeith came
forward and declared, "The battle will begin in one minute! Challengers take your positions."
I was paralized with fear as the Skeiths counted down the last seconds. I knew Skeiths weren't
fast, so I ran around and around him. "I'm getting dizzy," he said, then collapsed to the
ground with a thud. "He's out... our winner and new leader is Sylvester the Kacheek!" However,
there was little time to celebrate, for on the horizon was an army of angry ...

...Grarrls. I took out another amulet, wondering what it did.
A voice behind my group said, "Name where you would go, and be there." It was the mysterious
cloaked Blumaroo that gave King Roo the Dice-a-Roo game! "Well, where do we want to go, my
Skeith friends?"
"Someplace where we can pillage," said one.
"Someplace far from angry Grarrls," said another.
"I wanna check out that new place Brucey B found, remember?" said a third.
"Yeah!" shouted the others, "Let's all go to The Lost Desert!"
Suddenly we were there, standing on top of a dune overlooking the City of Sakhmet. However,
there was some kind of commotion down there. Oh no! We had arrived right in the middle of a
war with Dr. Sloth!!! I remembered faintly reading about it the Neopian Times, but I'd
completely forgotten about it. Just then, a group of deformed citizens ran up to our dune...

...screaming.
"Are you here to help the battle?" A roughed up Blumaroo asked.
"Well, um..." I stuttered. The look on his face made me say yes.
"Good! Hurry, and good luck!" he said as he continued to run past us.
I turned around to look at the Skeiths. "Well, who's in?" I said very strongly. I think I
heard a few coughs in the back, but no one else said or did anything. "Oh, come on! I can't
do this alone!" They all gasped and looked at me wide-eyed. "Is that a yes?" I asked. After a
couple of seconds they all scattered screaming. I sighed and turned around. As I was about to
head for the town, I noticed that I was standing in a HUGE shadow. I slowly looked up, and
saw that it was The Rock Monster himself! I fell backwards, and couldn't breathe for a
moment. Once again, I could feel that I was sitting on an Amulet. I pulled it put and used it.
*POOF!* I was suddenly holding a giant Million Degree sword. Looking up, I was ten times my
height, too! I knew I couldn't run in circles this time, so I swung at the Monster. The sword
was so heavy that I dropped it, and had to check to make sure I didn't hurt anyone. That's
when I noticed he wasn't attacking me. I looked back and saw The Rock Monster laying on the
desert ground, defeated. "Wow!" I thought. A few moments later, I shrunk back to my normal
size, and the sword disappeared. The Skeiths and all the Sakhmet villagers ran to pick me up
in joy.
One of them was a Peophin who asked, "What's your name?"
"Sylvester," I told him.
"Congratulations, Sylvester! You're a hero!"
Hhmm, a hero... I liked the sound of that. No wait... Sylvester The Great Hero, or maybe
Sylvester, The One Who Did The Impossible... yeah!
The End
