We start a story and you have to write the next few paragraphs. We will select the best submissions every day and put it on the site, and then you have to write the next one, all the way until the story finishes. Got it? Well, submit your paragraphs below!

Story Ten - Ended February 2nd

Polva woke up one afternoon (oh, how she loved to sleep in) and felt a little strange poke in her back. Was it the Kauvara's potion her owner gave her last night? She wasn't sure. She felt really different, like she had been given a whole new body. She sat up in her bed and stretched her wings out. She noticed that those weren't her wings, that they were much bigger. She quickly got up and ran to the pond so she could see her reflection. She couldn't believe her eyes... Author : Neopets Staff

...she had become an Eyrie! "Oh-my-god," she thought as she ran back into her room. "This can't be...my owner won't recognize me at ALL! "Polva!" her owner called. "It's breakfast time." "Uh oh...what am I going to tell my her?" "Polva! Get down here right now!" "Coming mom!" she quickly made up an excuse to not come down. "I have to get dressed, don't I? I can't just come straight down there in my pajamas?" "Oh all right...you can have five more minutes! But your Bacon Muffin is getting very cold and we have to get a move on...today is our shop's grand opening." "...I know!" She put on a Kacheek mask and wrapped herself in a towel. She quietly trudged downstairs. "Polva!" her mom scolded. "What are you doing in that mask? Take it off right now before the customers arrive!" "Mom, I have an excuse for this..." I started. "No excuses and no mooses, do your best and don't worry!"(My mom always says that when I wanted to give up or when this one time I tried to make a friend with a moose. The moose part never made sense, though.) Mom pulled off my mask and I screamed in embarrassment. "My goodness, Polva, why, you've become a beautiful Eyrie!" my mom exclaimed with pride. ..."Now get dressed! Are you ashamed to wear your new clothes?!" said Polva's mom. "No...I can't put my new clothes on," Polva tried to explain. "And why not!?" asked Polva's mom in shock because she thought Polva was talking back. "Because," Polva gulped really hard, "I ruined them." "YOUNG LADY! THOSE COST ME 2500 NP!!" shouted Polva's mom. When Polva's mom calmed down little, of course it was after Povla ate her brunch (since she slept in so late), she said, "Go upstairs to your room...the costumers are going to have to wait now!" "Yes, mom. I'm sorry," Polva said. Polva knew her mom was going to the Clothing Shop to get her some new clothes. So, Polva went back upstairs and sat down on her bed. ...she suddenly realized she was in a scientific laboratory. She was in awe as she wondered looking at the different inventions around the huge room. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Dr_Death rushed into the room mumbling about some transformation potion for Kacheeks. "Dr_Death, what are you looking for?" "The transformation potions to turn Neopians into almost anything they want from different pets to instant billionaires!!" Thinking to herself, I've got to find that billionaire potion...then my mom won't have to worry about money for my new clothes. As Dr_Death rushed away as fast as he came in, Polva noticed the bottle of instant billionaire sitting on the desk. She scooped it up and poured it on herself and the extra money in her pockets, although she didn't know how to use it. Her pockets felt heavy as she ran toward the laboratory door. ...and she landed atop a jelly donut! She soon realized that she much smaller than all the items around her. "Oh no! My mom specifically told me, never to play with my food. She tried to get down, but after several attempts she began to sink inside. Before she knew it she was deep in the jelly goo. She sighed heavily. It was very warm inside the jelly donut, and a little sticky, but very comfortable. Before she knew it, she was fast asleep. She didn't know how long she had been asleep, but the next thing she did know, was that she could hear her mommy's voice. "Yes I'd like three chocolate dips, two sprinkled, and--" she heard her mommy pause. "And that big jelly donut please!" Polva's eyes widen. "Thank goodness for mommy's sweet tooth!" She exclaimed happily. "Now I'll be home in no time, with all this money for my new clothes!" Polva felt very happy with herself. She felt the donut be picked up and dropped into a pink box. Polva smiled, knowing that she soon would be freed. She was being moved about, because her mommy was now walking with the box of donuts in her arms. "I sure love jelly donuts!" Polva's mommy exclaimed. "I'm sure Polva wouldn't mind if I ate just one before I got home." Polva was confused. What was her mommy talking about? "Yummy!" Oh no! Polva suddenly realized what her mommy was doing? She was going to eat the jelly donut! With her inside!!! "What am I going to do?" Polva wondered outloud. "...Mommmy, no!" polva screamed. "It's me Polvaaaa!!!!" "Hmmm, I think I'll save this for later." Polva's mommy said not even noticing her. "I don't want to get this on my lovely dress." "Hey Mom!" Polva yelled. "Down here in the donut!" "Wha...Polva?" Polva's mother looked around. "Polva! Come downstairs I have a treat for you!" "Mommy, I'm in the jelly donut!" Polva screeched. "Look in the donut!" Polva's mother set the donuts on the couch. "Oh, I am so sleepy. If you don't want to come down then suit yourself. You know what I always said about mooses!" Polva's mother was about to lie down on the couch and get some rest before the big opening, and she accidentally smashed the box! Skwoosh! The jelly got all over her new dress. The good thing was that Polva was free and she had lots of money! The bad thing was that she was very small and so was the money. She crawled onto her mom's head and sat by her ear and yelled, "I am your Faerie godmother and your sweet Polva is on your ear." Polva's mom grabbed at her ear and in her hand was Polva. "Polva? ..."I was sucked through a page in my book and I've been traveling to places I never knew I existed, and when I was sucked through another page in the book, I landed on this jelly donut and you bought the one I was in. In the car when you were about to eat me, I screamed for you to stop. Oh... and look!" Polva showed her mom all of the money that she had created with the potion. "Oh my lord... where did you get all that money?" "I found a potion that said billionaire potion and I thought of you," Polva said. "Oh my goodness, but the money is smaller than it should be, honey, it shrank when you shrank. What will we do? Oh, I know. We will go to the Light Faerie and ask for her help, to grow you back to normal size. What do you think?" Polva thought and thought. She knew the Light Faerie didn't like to be disturbed. "Well... "...I don't think it is a very good idea to disturb the Light Faerie. She probably has a lot of work to do, and I'd hate to be a pest taking up her time." Polva's mom knew her pet was making excuses because she was afraid of the Light Faerie's power. "Now, Polva, no excuses and no mooses. How about if we brought the Light Faerie a gift? Something she'd really like. We have a beautiful ring in our gift shop we can give her that. OK?" Without waiting for an answer, Polva's mom scooped her up and took to the car. They drove to their gift shop in Cute City and got the ring, which was absolutely dazzling. Even Polva had to admit that the Light Faerie would love that ring. But that doesn't mean the Faerie would be happy they disturbed her, Polva thought as they stood in front of her house... Author : buffy_16

...Knock Knock!!! "Who's there?" a light and airy voice asked. Polva was positively trembling in her socks now. Not that her socks were very visible. They were about the size of a sugar grain. "Go on Polva. You can only face your fears when you acknowledge your fear," Polva's mom said. Polva opened her mouth, but no voice came out. "I...I...Pol...Pola...Polva..." Polva stuttered. The Light Faerie, sensing something strange, picked up her wand, and strode to her golden door. She slowly pushed the door open, and saw Polva's mother. "Now, lady, I see that you live in Neopia, but that is no reason to start stuttering when you meet me. I'M NOT SCARY!" Bolts of white heat were flying from the tip of the wand. The Light Faerie's wings glowed with the light of a thousand stars, illuminating her house with what seemed like fireflies. "N...n...no...Pol...va...not..." Polva's mother was evidently startled. "Oh no, you don't lady!" hollered the Light Faerie. She raised her wand and chanted, "Soul without a rainbow, I summon thee, cast..." But she heard a little voice... "Oh no you don't, Light Faerie! I will not let you curse her!" Polva stretched her stringy wings and at the speed of sound swooped toward the Light Faerie's twinkling eyes. The Light Faerie was surprised, and dumbfounded, along with a dozen other emotions. What a brave little Eyrie, she thought. Polva was summoning her ability, the fearsome Demon Breath. A huff and a puff, and a little puff of black steam came out of her beak. Polva started coughing. "Stars of night, with my might, give this Eyrie, more of...uh...I don't know, health?" Polva suddenly felt much better. The Light Faerie smiled. "Now what were you here for?" Polva realised that the Light Faerie wasn't angry anymore. "Why are you so tiny?" "Um, it's a little long story..." "But you're contradicting yourself. Little long story?" Polva explained everything to the Light Faerie. "Oh!" The Light Faerie laughed. "Tiny small, minute large, let this Eyrie be as big as... my aunt Marge!" Polva felt something tugging at her pocket... RIIIIIIP! Just how huge is Aunt Marge, thought Polva as she sighed... ...Polva was hurled upward and fell with a loud THUG on the pavement. She looked at her hands and feet...why, she was normal again! "Ow!" Polva said, rubbing her head gingerly. "Oh don't worry dear, your fall was just a side-effect of the magic. Would you like to come in and have a cup of tea?" All this time, Polva's mother had been just standing there, dumbfounded. But finally she spoke. "I'm sorry, great Light Faerie, but I'm afraid that we must be getting home, it's a long journey, but thank you for everything." Polva said, "Yes, thank you, good-bye!" "All right then, good-bye, but, do take this Ultra Ice Negg to eat on the way home!" the Light Faerie called. "Thank you!" Polva and her mother replied. As soon as they were out of earshot, Polva's mother whispered, "So, what are we going to do with the billion NP we just got?" They both laughed. "Oh mother," Polva said "I don't think it's right to use that money...we didn't earn it!" But her mother simply said, "Come on, dear, no excuses, and NO mooses."
