Stepping gently through the forest, you glance up at a songbird whose melody dances trough the air. Snapping a picture with your camera, you continue on. You've been out exploring the forests that wind their way between the canyon mountains around you, and the warm sun on your back feels soothing. Suddenly an unfamiliar sound behind you puts your senses on the alert. Whirling around, you duck down and peer through the bushes, searching for whatever, or whoever, may have made the noise. After a moment a small black gallion appears from behind the trees, flitting about happily and carrying a small lantern in its hands. You look at the lantern wondering why it would be carrying such a thing, since it wont be dark for at least an hour or two. Reaching into your backpack, you pull out your camera to snap a quick picture and show to your friends back at home. But by the time you raise your head to take the shot, the little creature has flown right in your direction towards you, and you hear a fearful squeal come from it's tiny lungs as it spots you. It darts off in an instant back to where it came from, leaving you with a bit of a shocked look on your face.

But before you've taken just a few steps you hear the flapping of massive wings, and an eyrie roughly the size of a large horse lands in your path, with the gallion right behind him. "Who are you?" he asks somewhat sternly, however you sense no threat in his voice. "umm, guest" you stutter. "What is your business here, guest?" he asks you. You slowly manage to explain how you got here, and that you mean no harm. The eyrie then lowers his guard and greets you kindly. "My name is Zyklar, and this litle fellow is Akelu. Forgive my harsh entrance before; you see it is my duty as sentinel to watch out for any potential threats to my city." "City?" you ask, looking around and seeing nothing but the canyons and forests. "Well, I guess we are well hidden", Zyklar chuckles. "Our city is just off in the distance, built into the canyons, and is much larger than what you might spot on the exterior."

By this time Akelu realizes you are not dangerous, and has even begun to take a liking to you. It hovers beside you and asks with a timid smile, "Would you like some fresh berries? I've just picked them and they're quite good". Holding out your hands, he drops some into your open palms. "Mm, they're so sweet!" you reply, your mouth puckering a little. "But if I may, I have a question to ask you. Why are you carrying that lantern when it is still day out?" Akelu glances down at the lantern and then back at you. "Oh this? Its for Zyklar." You pause for a moment, trying to comprehend the statement, when Zyklar steps in. "Yes, it is for me. It's a long story, but you see I need this flame, I am bound to it as a life source, and if it goes out, then well, I 'go out'". He looks at you smiling, but with a hint of sadness. Not being surprised at your still confused face, he continues on. "I think I need to tell you the whole story about myself and my clan for you to understand". "Ooh! Ooh! Don't forget about the part where I come in!" Akelu pipes in. "Don't worry, I won't" Zyklar replies with a laugh.

Akelu is Zyklar's loyal petpet and friend, and never leaves his side. He is a little black gallion with a small body, but big heart. He and Zyklar met through an unexpected event, and they have never been apart since. He carries around with him a small lantern for Zyklar, and enjoys his job quite a bit. Always in a cheery mood, he will quickly become your friend. He stands a mere two feet tall, but is a remarkably good flyer. From time to time he also likes to tease Zyklar, showing off his strength and puffing out little flickers of fire.

Zephyra lives in snowy regions high in the mountains. Her thick fur keeps her warm even during harsh storms.







Enairokel spends his time flying high above the clouds, coming down to earth only for short visits. Having an easygoing personality, it's hard to get on his bad side.









Bluorae loves to go exploring, and is friendly to everyone she meets. Although unknown to her, she has some special powers with crystals.








Kilama spends his time deep in the forest, preferring to stay north where it's colder. A solitary traveler, he keeps to himself most of the time.







Reyotsed is an energetic grundo who is always looking for adventures. Though he is small in stature, that doesn't hinder him from anything, and he's always up for a challenge. He spends much of his time outside, exploring, and when he's inside he's either playing with his Jinjah, or has his head buried in comic books.





Sylizax is a fun-loving eyrie who is always seen with a smile on his face. He enjoys taking care of his home among the coral reef, and acts as a guardian against any threats. He has a somewhat laid-back attitude, and enjoys playing around with his petpet, a maraquan quetzal.
