Welcome to Bijou Review, guest!
Hello there, friend! :) My name is Welly, this is Bijou Review, v.4 - Simplicity. I could go on a long and cheesy spiel about why Bijou is the best place to get a review, but instead, I'll present you with the facts. Bijou provides harsh constructive critisism, a thorough investigation, and a lot of good advice. If you came here in hopes of getting a shiny reward and a lot of praising blab, you should head somewhere else. Because here, my main focus is helping you achieve the best that you can, and improving your site the the max. Interested? Then carry on.
FASTER, MORE EFFICIENT SERVICE!
* This site looks best in Firefox, but it still works in all other browsers and manages to look awesome. ;)

rules & rights
Without discipline, the whole world would be a hectic mess. So, the same rules apply here - you need rules! No one likes to have them, and no one likes to follow them, but they are really important. So please read on! RULES:- Under no circumstances can you have ANY stolen content. If so, your site will be immediately removed from the waiting list, or your neomail will be ignored.

criteria
The criteria (a.k.a. = how you're going to get reviewed) is an essential part of every review site, and mine is listed below.
Reviewed on #/#/# | Rating: # Stars
First Impression: I just entered your site. How do I immediately feel about it? Am I intrigued, bored, or horrified? Am I getting good vibes? Do I want to leave already?
Guessing Game: Based on what I've viewed in the first few glimpses and what I've read in the first few paragraphs, what do I think your site will be like?
Visual Appeal: How is your layout? Is it boring, is it way too bold? Does it suit the site name? And is your font so neon, it's blinding? In this section, we cover the looks.
Content: It's key to have just enough content - not so little that I'm wondering where you're hiding it all, and not so much that I feel like your site is an encyclopedia. And most important, how GOOD is your content?
Spelling and grammar: Chatspeak is pretty much a death sentence when it comes to reviews. Not only will I subtract marks from this section, but also from content, because chatspeak makes EVERYTHING hard to read. So use proper capitalization, grammar, puncuation, and spelling. The occasional slip-up is okay.
Sitely: Could you use a lot more listers, and a lot less affies? Is everything lacking? Is everything out of balance?
Reality: After reviewing your whole site, I'll compare my opion at the start (Guessing Game) to my opinion now.
Would I come back to your site? This is a simple yes or no question, and I will give you reasons.
NOTE: You'll notice that I don't use points in my review format. I do this, because I personally believe that the point system is pointless - no pun intended - and lazy. Why should I sum up my thoughts in a few numbers, when I can give you detailed advice? Instead, based an all of my observations, I will give you 1 overall rating.

Awards are custom made. If you score 5 stars, your custom made award will be here for you to pick up! :)notes / faq
FAQ - which stands for frequently asked questions. A lot of the questions you see below have been asked frequently, although some of them are just questions I think I lot of people might have, but not asked me yet. So if you have any questions or concern, I strongly reccomend that you read all the way through this first. (: There are some notes underneath the FAQ too, so you should check that out, also. Thank you!
Q: Why do you only accept 3 reviews at a time?
A: I have learned from previous experience that it is NOT a good idea to have more than 3. Usually, good reviews take a lot of time (sometimes up to 1 hour), and if I have let's say, 7 or 8 people on the waiting list, these people are going to have to wait a loooong time. Grumpy people are not fun. :/
Q: Can I review your site?
A: As long as you neomail me first asking for me permission, of course! Even review sites need to get reviewed. :)
Q: Why did you reject my review request/remove me from the waiting list?
A: There are a few reasons why I might do something like that - firstly, if you came off as rude, inconsiderate, or disrespectful, I will definitely reject your request. Another reason is that you possibly put your site on vacation, or are in the process of re-vamping. How am I supposed to review your site if it's constantly changing? A third reason is that your site might not have been well-established. This means having a healthy amount of content, and have been around for a while (2 weeks, MINIMUM).
Q: Will you please make me a layout?
A: I used to happily say yes to this, however, these days I'm going to say no. Making layouts for people makes me feel very pressured, and I can't stand the feeling of being a month late with a layout. :C I hate dissapointing people.

sister site
Oh no! It looks like Bijou doesn't have a sister site, but Welly would really love one. :( Would you like to apply for sister site? It's an important position, so of course there are some qualifications.
1. You need to have a high-quality, appealing layout that fits your site.
2. You need to be totally literate (smileys are okay!).
3. Have a sense of humour! I want a sister site - and sisters are close, and get along really well with eachother. I want the owner of my sister site to be a friend, not just an ally.
4. Must be a review site.
5. Must have over 200 hits, and be at least 3 weeks old.
Think you've got what it takes? Send a friendly little neomail my way. (:
