Design Comments:
Kura usually wears her hair up, with some strands hanging down. At the back of her hair is a bun that transitions into a ponytail.
Her lips are either pink or the dark crimson found in the reference. And she sometimes wears gold eye makeup.
Kura wears nothing but dresses. I like to draw different dresses, so Kura isn't stuck with one dress, but has several. Her clothing palette is dark (usually navy blue, grey, dark red, etc.), with accents of gold and white.
Her magic is light pinkish-purple. It gives off a dull illumination and fades off in smokey wisps.
Animal Design
Design Comments:
I think of kyriis as weasel or ferrets. So for Kura's animal design, she's a ferret.
The ferret has green fur, the same color as Kura's skin. Although she has lighter fur under her chin and on her chest. And her tail is completely covered with red fur.
On her left leg is a red fleur de lis symbol.
Her eyes are orange and glowing, and on the side of them is gold fur.
Background Story: Ch. 1
As most tales of princesses go, there once was a time...
...where a terrible war afflicted both the kingdoms of Brightvale and Meridell.
The King and Queen of Brightvale wished that an heir would bring some happiness to a country ravaged by war.
But this is not your typical fairytale...
...no.
For this princess was not good, loving or kind.
She was pure evil.

Background Story: Ch. 2
Kura was provided everything a child could ever need, or want for that matter.
Her room overflowed with silk garments and gold laced objects.
Yet nothing seemed to close the immense emptiness in her soul.
Not objects nor attention nor the world around her.
However Kura found her own personal way to capture these feelings that she was born without.
Manipulating and causing extreme emotional reactions in others filled her with something, perhaps satisfaction or a feeling of superiority. Either way it helped Kura for a number of years, until her insatiable appetite grew too large. And at that moment, she was caught in a plot to overthrow the throne, and eliminate her own parents.
Her parents, the King and Queen, were devastated. They could not condemn their own daughter to die. So they locked her in a place that even she could not escape from - Edna's Tower, or so they thought...
Background Story: Ch. 3
Edna wasn't originally the twisted, grotesque zafara that she is today. She once was the esteemed, yet clumsy, magic expert of the kingdom of Brightvale.
...but Kura changed all of that.
The constant magical experiments caused magic to seep into the walls of the tower. And over time, Kura's body began to absorb it.
Eventually she managed to bring it under her control, and broke the bonds that held her prisoner. Her feelings of vengeance were boundless.
While Edna's back was turned, Kura placed both of her hands on Edna's head. Within seconds Kura's magic was corrupting and distorting her until she turned into the horrible creature that she it today.
And now Kura was free.
