ZethieaFade.to.gray.

Err... under a serious re-vamp. ^-^;;; Hmm...

You enter a dark area in a strange land, with creatures of legend and lore. You are tired and weary, marely wishing for a place to rest. You begin to situate yourself in a nook of the cave-like lair, but you see three eyes, three purple, glowing eyes peer out of the gloom, and you are startled... "Welcome, weary traveler, to the lair of Zethiea. You may lodge here as you will, for I am a forgiving creature. However, you must remember- you're in my territory now." A lithe, almost black wolf form emerges from the darkness. Her head is held at middle height, and you soon see something perculiar- the wolf has three eyes! Two in the normal spots, one in the center of the forehead... "Do not be afraid, dear. Come, sit by the warm part of my lair, and I'll get a fire going. You can learn about my past of you wish, or just explore the wonders of my home, but either way, do as you please." The form aboutfaces, and you see her slanky tail stream behind her, and then you see her wings, incredible, large specimens... not fit for a normal wolf. "Come," she cooes, "rest in the shadows of truth. You see a faint sparlk light by the form, which becomes a fire... the fae is now completely visible in the flickering light of the fire. Her left ear has a knick in it, and there is a scar running straight across her maw, starting at the nose, and continuing over the jaws... you don't know whether or not to trust the fae, but you determine it's at least safe enough to rest awhile.

Zeth: So, you wish to know about me? Well, I suppose I am an interesting, albeit weird.. thing. She settles, leaning a bit against the wall as she sits, in the darker portion of the cavern.

Zeth: Aye, then. Let's see, what first..? She ponders a moment, mulling about the simple question. Right, then. I suppose.. my.. pack, famly, call it what you will.

Family
Yes.. my family. well, here goes.

No picture of her at the moment, but this is my owner, Spazz. She's a shape-shifter, we /think/, but.. my, or rather our, owner is rather..spastic. Thus her.. name, Spazz. She's also known as Vitality (main account is vitality_eminent) and Nerau, around the web. But.. we all call her Spazz. Just what we do. In her spare time, when she's not on Neo, she draws, writes, reads, plays other video games, does Tae Kwon Do, paints Chinese calligraphy (but doesn't know the language. ;-;), plays flute, sax, a little ocarina, and clarinet, attends to her dog and... goes for joyrides in her little jet drive boat, reeking havoc on the river in the form of donuts and figure-eights. She may be -ahem- spacey, but she has a legal boater's liscence, so.. She feeds us, shelters us, slaves at her computer to give us petpage homes...Spazz: Heh. That's darn right I do.

Mysterybeam Ah. This is my my sister, Mysterybeam, or Myst. Myst is a rather peculiar Eyrie; she's supposedly Maraquqan, but she doesn't really look like it. Myst is a very nice person, but not awfully or unbearably cheerful. I would like to get to know her, but she lives in the water, so it's considerably difficult to...

Kaa_Bea

Yes.. moving on. This here is Kaa_Bea, or as we call her, Kaa. She's a Hissi, saved by Spazz from the pound... Kaa's an intelligent, witty, sometimes sarcastic fellow, but she can be such a riot. She really is funny, but if you aren't listenig you won't hear any of her few but hysterical jokes; she says them with a normal voice and a deadpan face. Her sarcastic remarks can be rather... scalding, but once you get to know her, you understand.

ExtonalOne day, soon or late, I'll learn what happened to Extonal. You see, Ex no longer has a body; out of my whole family, I'm the only one who can see him, because he gives off a miniscule temperature... I'm not quite sure what he is, exactly. I know he's some sort of Kougra; whenever I see him, it's just a shimmer, an outline, but it looks like a kougra with a strange tail and back legs. He needs to take over a body as his host, so he can hunt and drink, and live, because he needs to do all the things a normal organism would, and can't in his true form. He can only take over dead things, though, and he never kills something for himself unless it's necessary for survival, an act of desperation. I wonder why he hates hunting so much...

TamTakakota, A.K.A. Tam, is an interesting fellow. He's a total and complete gearhead and, if he realized how scarily mechanically=inclined he is, he would be completely proud of it. He's a Tyrannian Bori, and his favorite hobby (and obsession) is to take things apart and put them together again. And, of course, repairing anything. Recently, he made a whole mechanical arm connected to nerves, so it functions normally..

SeverSeverrence is a thief, yes, but not an ordinary one. He's got his own mentality on stealing, whichis, honestly, rather noble. Sever's a regular green Bori on the outside, except for his attowhead-tipped tail and an enormous claw on an apposable toe... Do you know what a velociraptor is? Well, think of one of their claws. DOn't want to mess with Sever, now, do you?

FoghesseFrankly, I don't know Foghesse well enough at all. I do know that Fog has a bit of a military attitude, but not overpoweringly so. He has an often strategical mind, but he's probably killed many people in the war in his world... Justlook at thoe mechanical wings. He's got some powerful weapons under that metal attatchment.

HiroshaeHiroshae is a Shoyru who looks more like a Draik than--Ahem. Basically, Mom's too poor to buy a Transmog. Potion to Draik-i-fy anyone. Eh heh... But we do have really nice petpets. Ah, I digress. Anyway, reportedly, Hiro used to be a tomb robber but somehow had his ways changed and is now a Djinn with a serious sense of what's wrong and what's right.

And then there's.. er, me. Right. Well, I'm.. not in a place to say things about myself, for I'm on the inside looking out.. so I'll just say my.. appearance. Well... I have three eyes, as if you did not notice. Porportionate bat wings, rather rugged, allow flight fo me. My element is.. Shadow. Keep in mind, Shadow, Darkness, Earth, Fire.. all the elements; none of them are "evil." Being "evil" has nothing to do with a n element.."evil" ones just tend to lean to SHadow and Darkness magics for their work.

Past

So, you wish to know what has gone by? Well, if you insist...

There was a gentle chill in the breeze. Inside an uprooted tree's roots, a comfy sort of den was formed— and from inside it came the happy squeals of pups. Newborn wolves. They stumbled about, blindly, for they were so young their eyes had not yet opened, and their mother smiled gently at them.. "Come my little ones. Let's not hurt ourselves so early," she cooed. They waited the day they'd be able to leave the cave, for they tried to reach and exit its mouth. They'd always just bump into a wall, or their mum would scoop them back in, sweetly. Save for one pup. Save for one pup who never ventured to the brightness of the sun. Save for one pup who could see without open eyes… They were all very much the same, with beautiful wings from their Darigan lupe father, and brilliant fur and markings from their Island lupe mother. They had purple-ish fur from their paw, with graceful, swirly island markings from their ma. They all had a very appealing look, almost identical to each other—save for one pup…

…Save for one pup that had a sort of dark pelt. Not black, but almost. Just barely not… and with no festive markings. And she had small wings. But that didn't mean they were disproportionate— the lupe/wolf was just… tiny. And there was one more thing… her forehead. There was something odd about it. But the mother wasn't too worried, for her priceless pups had not embraced life for too long, and she was certain that this little one would out grow it.

Time passed. The fae and the brute lupe/wolves decided to name each pup. They had a rather easy, jovial time naming them all… save for one pup. Save for the one who could see with closed eyes. The one who stayed in the shadows. The one who was small. The one who wandered. The one who walked alone. The one who was… different. The kind couple pondered, finally settling on Zethiea— the One of Many Secrets.

More time passed. The time came when the pups' eyes began to unfasten. Oh, the darigan and the Island Lupes were so proud! In three days, all the little dear's eyes were open— save for one pup. The one hailed Zethiea. The one of many secrets…

A week passed. Still, Zethiea's eyes stayed clamped. Still, the lump on her forehead remained. The pups bumbled around, still getting used to their new sense. Save for one, Zethiea. The one who saw without open eyes.

Weeks turned into months. Still, Zethiea remained blind. And yet… she was not. She was the most graceful of all. She never tripped, or lost her balance like her siblings did…

More months passed. The lupes learned to talk. They clumsily stumbled over words, as they tried their acquired skill. But Zethiea never talked. Her mom thought Zethiea could talk, but just never did. Her father was more worried…

Months turned into years. Zethiea's eyes had still not opened. Out of desperation for their little one, the Darigan and the Island lupes trekked into the forest to the home of the mysterious healer. Putting the oldest cub they had, who was almost an ault, (he was from a previous littler)they set out for the mysterious site. Their only hope lied with the strange female— they believed only she could concoct the cure for Zethiea's condition, whatever it may be.

Back at the den, Zethiea was on lookout duty. She was known to be a very alert one at sentry, so she was often posted. The only downside was her siblings often got into a teasing mode— and who better to prey on than the one with closed eyes? Who better to pester than the one who would not talk, and so would not chastise them?

The pups, who were bigger than her, for she was quite small, would dance around in circles, singing silly chants. During these taunts, Zethiea would just sit at attention gazing outwards, voraciously watching, ever so intently, searching for any dangers or movements. She gazed out with her closed eyes as if hypnotized, scanning the terra beneath her. And maybe even beyond her, maybe even beyond the horizon…maybe, even, past limits unfathomable.

One day, as her siblings danced and chanted around her, she stood. Her head went back and forth, scanning the horizon intently, and she said something, very very softly.

Something... Something's coming...

Onr of her siblings heard, and came to her side, surprised at hearing Zethiael's voice. She really could speak..?! "What is it, Zeth?" Her sibling asked, curious.

Something's coming. She said, more loudly this time. I don't know what it is, but it looks strange. It doesn't walk right... And it's tall, and looks like it could topple if you tripped it. But it... it's full of hate, and it's dangerous... Zethiea swallowed hard, the image of the thing's body heat burned forever into her mind. We have to get out of here... They want to kill... Her sibling, frightened, ran to get the oldest of the pups.

But the eldest put off Zethiea's warning. He would not allow them to leave, in case the parents came back, and he would never take her seriously...

Her sister, the only one who listened, came up to her again. "You're serious, aren't you? I mean, you've never spoken a word before, and you aren't someone who would joke about something so serious...

Zethiea nodded. I don't want anyone to be hurt. But if we stay here, we will be... I don't want to leave anyone behind, but they won't listen. I'm going to have to leave without them. Her head was drooping, ((Not done.. yet...))
