Enviromental Tips
Go Green!

Look around in your house. Are there any lights on that are not being used? I mean, what about that one in the kitchen? No one's in there any ways! Turn it off. You'll save some money, energy, and help with the energy crisis.

Going to school? If it's only a few blocks from school, ride a bike, walk there- using a car/bus to get there puts out toxic and dangerous fumes that are harmful to humans/animals and can cause cancer. Think about it.

You know those 'six pack thongs' that hold together drinks? Well, cut those in half to make sure they don't end up around some cuddly seal's neck and choke it to death. It happens, you know. It happens alot.

In summer, keep shades drawn to keep the cool in. It helps so you don't have to use a air conditioner and it keeps the energy bill a little lower.
DID YOU KNOW? The people who use their air conditioners full blast are 50% of the cause of the Energy Crisis.

In winter, open shades to let the sunlight to help warm rooms.

Plant trees around your house to cut cooling costs in summer.

Buying Green
Yay!

Buying green may cost a bit more than usual, but it is 110% worth it. If you're going shopping for anything, make sure to take note on some of these: 100% recycled post-consumer waste notebooks 100% organic cotton t-shirts/clothing Seventh Generation Products (usually cooking/cleaning items) check out the website [www.ecoist.com] for recycled fashion! Plus, every time that you buy a bag from there, they plant a tree! If you are on the lookout for the real goods, then you truly are making a difference.

London's Cool Fashion tips! Ever wanted to really money but don't know how? Here are some fabulous tips on how to keep more green and be green as well!

Get Creative! Take a look at everything in your closet and decide which items could serve more than one function. Like, try pulling a long skirt up under your arms and wrapping a belt around your waist! Voilá! It's a strapless dress! By seeing old items in new ways, you'll double your wardrobe for free!
Surf for Savings. Many online stores offer discounts or free shipping if you have a special code. Google the words "coupon code" with the name of your favorite store and you might just find some cash-savers.
Know sales schedules. Stores put in new clothes during Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. On the weekends they have no time to stock.
Go Seasonless. Invest in pieces that you can wear year-round, like plain t-shirts or jeans – they're comfy no matter what time of the year it is.

STORE OF THE WEEK: SHOP GREEN AT JC PENNY
Wow! JC Penny is now selling organic clothes! check it out on their website or in their store! also head for the cute long sleeve shirts that contribue 25% of their proceeds to helping endangered animals!

For the Girls Hey girls! Do you ever think about how makeup and acne medications are made? Well, here's how: Did you know? All those acne medications, spot killers, face washes, moisturizers and more are all tested on animals to make sure they work?
Betcha Didn't know this: It is estimated that 50 to 100 million animals are killed every year JUST TO TEST the makeup you wear.
And we'll go further: the animals mostly used in tests are: baby monkeys, mice, lab rats, dogs, farm animals, birds and flies. Poor doggies! :(

Keep Going!

PROTEST
Topic: Don't drink bottled water why: Bottled water is shipped, processed and made with pollutants in the plasic that are generally toxic. Toxic means poisonous. And did you know that you're paying for so called 'bottled water' that is really just tap water (water from your sink/faucet)? And shipping bottled water from China uses up gasoline, time, money and puts more green house gases (that yucky bad stuff that's causing global warming) into the air. Protest against bottled water and buy organic, locally made or just drink milk!

Awards
Thank ya, thank ya!

Wow! I never knew that my sister site and I could ever recieve awards! Furthurmore, this many! Thank you for all your fan mail and such! :)
