Answer 2 Not all pets can wear clothing at this moment. Maraquan, Baby, Mutant, and Fruit + Veggie Chias can't wear clothing.
Answer 3 Some pets weren't automatically converted when Neopets implied the changes. If you still have an Old Style pet, they will not be able to wear any clothing.
Answer 1 Are you sure this item is wearable? Even though it is a clothing item, not all clothing items are wearable. Click [here] for more info!
Answer 2 If the item you purchased is wearable, but you still can't put it on your pet, then most likely it isn't in your closet. In order to customize your pet, you must have the items in your closet. The screenies below will provide information on how to place items in your closet.

The answer to this question is still unknown, however, it is believed that when you pound a pet, the clothing will be removed and placed in your inventory. If you know what happens, and have proof [screenies, etc.], then please neomail me!
Answer 1 Currently, Maraquan, Mutant, Baby, Fruit Chias, and Vegetable Chias can not wear any clothing because of their "weird" body shapes.
This question is unknown, but most likely the answer is no. It would be too much work for TNT to go back through the old clothing to find something that might work for the Customization feature.
Starry Backgrounds were only available to people who participated in Customization Beta, which took place in April 2007. They are a non-tradable item, so they can not be purchased through the shops or trading post.
