Medusa is a monster with snakes for hair, a myth in Greek Mythology says that if you look in her eyes you will turn to stone. This page is full of information that will help you apply to become a member.

About

You want to know more about Aegis? Well, you've come to the right place. Aegis is a literate, semi-private, roleplaying Percy Jackson guild. I know, it's a mouth full. Why literate? Because we want you to have the best experience possible and if people are chatspeaking it up 24/7 then you become irritated. Don't pretend you don't. But it's okay, we make sure that you feel surrounded with people of your typing standards! Why semi-private? This goes back to the whole literate thing. We want to make sure that the people who join don't use chatspeak all of the time and they understand how to express themselves in a literate manner. It's also so people just don't join so they can say they join up. We want members who want to be in the guild. Why roleplaying? Well that's an easy one! Roleplaying is fun, is it not? We want to give members a chance to live in the world of Percy Jackson. That's right; you too can be a young demigod in Camp Half-Blood. For those of you who don't know what Percy Jackson is, let me enlighten you. Percy Jackson is a five book series by Rick Riordan. The books are set in modern times with a twist of Greek mythology. We're talking gods, goddesses, Cyclops, hippocampi, pegasi, you name it. In these books we read about the adventures of Percy Jackson and the other young half-bloods of camp.

So you're interested now. You want to know what we have to offer, right? Aegis is more than meets the eye. Along with roleplaying we offer a friendly environment where you can chat with others who like Percy Jackson. Don't want to talk about just Percy Jackson? That's okay too! Feel free to talk about whatever you want, so long as it's neopets appropriate. We also offer a plethora of activities to keep you entertained. Quests, cabin missions, chariot races, capture the flag, what more could you ask for?

Rules

.001. Be literate on the message boards. Why literate? Well first off we are a literate guild so it would only make sense that we are literate on our message boards. Literacy also ensures us that the conversations and comments are readable by everyone. A few abbreviations here and there are acceptable. Emoticons too. This rule isn't too hard. If you don't know if you're being literate read over what you wrote and ask yourself if it's something you can turn into your teacher (grammar wise, not content wise).

.002. Save your drama for your llama. No one wants to put up with drama. Take it elsewhere because it is not welcomed here. I mean who wants to be apart of a drama filled guild? Not I. Be the bigger person in a situation. I know it may not be fun, but it's the best thing to do. Remember, the users here are people just like you who have feelings that matter just like yours do.

.003. Don't have anymore than three posts in a row. We don't want any spammers. How do you avoid this? Try not to post one-liners if you're trying to start a conversation. It's not to say one-liners are forbidden, it's just can be harder to reply to them.

.004. When posting on the guild board be literate. We are a literate guild so it'd be greatly appreciated if you could be literate when posting on our guild board. A message in chatspeak is like a message that needs to be decoded, and no one wants to spend time doing that. If your teacher were to see it would they feel the urge to throw a grammar book in your face? That is the question to ask yourself before you post something.

.005. Follow TNT's rules. Do I really have to go into this one? We all don't want to be iced, am I right? Stick to their rules because they have the power to ice you. No inappropriate content, blah, blah, blah. TNT has has the tendency to be unforgiving when it comes to their rules. Just follow them.

.006. Follow the rules of Aegis. This is a given to be in the guild. Just follow them and we'll all get along. Simple as that.

.007. The most important rule...HAVE FUN! I mean when you join a guild it's because you want to have fun. Don't think these rules prevent you from having fun. This is the one rule we expect everyone to follow!

Requirements

.001. Follow our rules. That's right, those rules actually have to be followed. Some are requirements of you. If you skipped over the rules I suggest you go back and read over them.

.002. Have a basic understanding of the Percy Jackson series. This doesn't mean you have to have read every book. Just know what's going on. If you don't know what Camp Half-Blood is then that can be a problem, right? If you haven't read them all I definitely encourage it because they were such good books, but it's not a requirement.

.003. Post at least once a month We understand that you have a life outside of neo. Just post to tell us that you are still alive and doing well. That's all. We don't expect you to be posting 1000+ messages a day. Once a month. Easy peasy.

.004. Follow our rules. Oh wait, isn't this the first requirement? It's that important. Read over them. Know that we expect you to be literate, have a nice font, and all of that jazz.

Applying

Think you've got what it takes to join the ranks of the half-bloods? Great! The application is below. Send it to Lindsey [xxsimplicityxx]. Wait 24-48 hours for a reply. If none has come your way then feel free to resend it. We all make mistakes every now and again. If you were rejected, which should be rare, you will most likely be given a reason. Please wait a week before reapplying.
