With rare exception, every tOFA member has earned a gold shield at some point in their Altador Cup career. How can you be freeloaders, then? I hear you asking. The answer is simple: our definition of freeloader is probably a bit different (and more tongue-in-cheek) than yours.
To us, a freeloader is someone who doesn't do anything they don't want to do. They don't play a game if it isn't fun, or stay in a conversation if it's making them angry, or go out of their way to cause trouble -- they're much too lazy for any of that. In that respect, every member of our guild is certainly a freeloader.
Anyone with any Altador Cup experience under their belt will be able to tell you how wrong things can go, and how quickly. The aim of tOFA is to minimize that negativity by providing a happy, carefree, and supportive environment where nobody is pressured to do anything they don't feel like doing.
In short, our philosophy: you should only play as much or as little as you want, and only with the people you like.

The rules of tOFA are very simple, and all the more important because of it. Even if you are not a member of the guild, if you choose to chat on our public board, please respect our rules. :)
1. No drama on the board. If you have a dispute with someone, please talk it over privately with them via neomail. If you have a dispute with all of us, good luck with that. In the event of trolls (intentional or otherwise) please flip on your ignore switch. Don't say purposely inflammatory things. Don't even acknowledge drama, even (or especially) to say "don't make drama!"
2. No harassment on the board regarding AC games. Do not tell anyone to "play more." How much they play is their business. Do not undermine anyone's effort. Do not attempt to formulate game plans and force everyone to follow them. Do not try to get someone to play a different game if they don't want to. And do not, under any circumstances, tell someone to "stop chatting and play.
3. No making a board without permission. tOFA boards should only be made by tOFA members unless express permission is given.
Friendly reminder: We no longer scorekeep on the tOFA board. Every member is in charge of keeping their own scores and posting them on the board of their choice at the end of the day, if desired. However, races and challenges are welcome and encouraged.
Here is the format for making a new tOFA board, for easy access:

Board message:
Everyone who is accepted into the tOFA guild gets a snazzy membership card to show off their freeloading ways. Here you can view a gallery of everyone's card!

While anyone and everyone is welcome to chat on our public board, the requirements for joining the tOFA guild are a little higher. In general, we only accept people who have played in at least one Altador Cup and have achieved a bronze shield rank or better in their best year.
It's a running joke that tOFA is not a "real guild," because almost all we do is chat. Many of us are over 18 and busy with school, work, and other life necessities. We do not have very many activities, and when we do, they are not very elaborate. Our guild board is pretty much like our public board, except less crowded. So, if you meet the requirements and enjoy spending time on the tOFA board, you might like the tOFA guild, too!
To join, you can neomail any of our council members. After your request, the guild takes a private, anonymous vote, and if the vote is unanimous in your favor, you will be sent an invite! It is helpful if you hang around the board for a while before you apply, that way everyone will know you enough to make an informed decision.
After you join, you can neomail Ant with this form to receive your membership card:
