we're BACK IN BLACK

1987 is returning to you after the Chernobyl accident and we're currently revamping from the nuclear explosion. Please excuse the mess as you move about the site and please attempt to not step in any of the remaining radioactive waste. We want to avoid a lawsuit, don't we!?

I'm Overlord Pony, a founder of this lovely site you see here today. 1987 has been around since February 13, 2012 and was originally ran by Roxifeller and myself. Seeing as we went on a rather long hiatus, I decided to take over the site for myself and throw away the useless, ever-changing staff column and take on 1987 as my own project! It's nice to be back... BACK IN BLACK!

I neglected to explain what exactly 1987 is (other than completely awesome) in the above paragraphs, so let me explain. We've been dedicated to recoding old layouts from the old CSS sites of pre-2008 Neopia. It was a real bummer when TNT went through all those insane coding changes and it completely annihilated a lot of the old, great coding sites from the record. We're here to bring back the amazingness that was those sites by recoding their layouts for all of Neopia to enjoy!

Follow the original maker's rules along with these rules. Where the layout originally came from will be linked to on the premades section.
Keep both the original maker's and 1987's credit on the layout.
Don't be stupid and call the layout your own.
-disclaimer; These layouts are not 1987's, they are the original makers' layouts. Most of the original makers aren't even on anymore, but our goal is to make their CSS live on into more Neopian generations. If we get mails from the original makers asking us to take it down, we will take it down. Thank you. (:

Requests

While I no longer take graphics requests, I still do take custom CSS requests. I'm pretty rusty at graphics anymore, anyway; you don't want my graphics layouts. XD

Backup

A public service ( besides layouts, that is ) that 1987 offers is the backup service! This is in the case of another Neopia coding apocalypse. I'll back your codes up and, once I figure out how to fix them, I'll fix them for you and send the codes back to you for your site for (hopefully) minimum downtime!

If you're interested in this service, just let me know through a neomail and we can talk over how to deal with your codes and such. Just let me know if you decide to close your site or something, that way so I don't meaninglessly back up codes when others are in line. c:

Hopefully the coding apocalypse will be no time soon, but only Dr. Sloth would know when it will truly happen.
