Welcome to Neo.Anxious, a private NR guild. The big mystery is WHY are we are private? Simple answer, we don't like scammers, beggars, or illiterate fools.
If you aren't any of those things, it's easier than slicing a cake to get in.
Neo.Anxious prides itself in its unique way of throwing the word 'guild' around. We're not just a guild, we're a family, a very tightly bonded family, like a bag of rubber bands all mixed up together.
Not only are we all friends and lean on each other for help, advice, support, or just someone to chat with, we have a lot of fun in the meantime, too! Not to mention, we're always welcoming new members into our little close knit circle.
We aren't NeoGods and Goddesses, and we understand that the ordinary Neopian isn't either. We know that you have a real life, we don't ask for your first born to join, and we don't expect that you dedicate every waking moment to the guild! We understand that your time on Neopets may be limited, and your neopoints are hard-earned. We don't require donations for rank upgrades, and we don't require your right hand, either! There are so many guilds out there that ask impossible things from their members, all we ask is that you have fun!

How to Join
Like we already said, it's really not that hard to join us! We love to welcome new members to the family and are always sad to see one go; so we want to make sure you think this is the guild for you.
All you have to do is A. read the rules, B. complete an application, and C. neomail it to a Member Adoption Committee member. We will post your application on the guild board for opinions from all members. If you're accepted (which, of course, you will be!), they'll zap you an invite. Chances are, unless you beg or use a lot of chatspeak, everyone will be peachy keen with having you here.

How Council Elections Work
When it comes time to hire another council member, the guild holds Council Elections. Council Elections are not ongoing and will only be held if all of the current council members feel the need to have another member on council (meaning:
do not put in council applications until an announcement to do so is made 
).
If you're interested in council, there are a few things you need to know:
A. Council is a LOT of work! And I do mean
A LOT.
B. You need
competent HTML knowledge.
C. You must be ranked
DIZZY or higher.
D. You must have participated in at least
3 activities.
So how does it work?
1. If you wish to run in the election for the council spot, you must fill out the council election form. We will make a new page on the website and place the form there. It basically asks you to list your qualifications and why you feel you would be a good council member.
2. The current council then gets the oh-so-fun job of narrowing down the candidates.
Please note that any decisions made will
NOT be biased.
3. Once the list has been narrowed down by the council, the top five members will be asked to
put together a petpage detailing why they should win the election. Be creative. Explain what you would do to help out, ideas you have, things you like about the guild, why you want to do it. (You
may start your petpage now if you wish, but please keep in mind, you may be knocked out of the election before you reach this point!)
4. Guild members will have the opportunity to
vote in a poll for the member they think should win the election by what they say on their petpages.
5. The new council member will be welcomed and congratulated.
This process has been well thought out and is believed to be the best possible way to pick new council members. All future council member positions will be filled in the same way. This method ensures that it is not a popularity contest and that everyone shows effort before being handed a title. However, if the nominated council member feels s/he is not right or for the job, s/he can hand the position over to another candidate. The current council has the ability to change the result, if they feel the need to.
Member Adoption Committee
Neo.anxious is governed, not by a council, but by its superspectacularistic members. We truly exemplify this through our organized committee leadership. Now whassat? you ask. Shushhh, I'm watching this rap-off! Okay, it's done. Typical Lori. Anyway, member committees are in charge of every aspect of the guild; from inviting new members, running activities, making layouts, and planning special events. The best part? Member committees are open to just about anyone except pink eraser haters, of course, so you can help out regardless of how skilled you are with HTML or how rich you are. ;)
The Member Adoption Committee is in charge of:
- Advertising the pink era- erm, I mean the guild! You can use your own advertisement or use the premades on the guild homepage.
- Reviewing member applications: Member applications could be sent to you at any time. Review them, ask for opinions on the guild message boards, and get back to the applicant within 24 hours. HOWEVER, With the new guild invitation policy, applications are not required. Instead, the interested user must chat on the boards, and any MAC members present will decide if they can receive an invite.
- Inviting new members: All new members must demonstrtate that they are: A. literate, B. friendly, C. fun/interesting, and D. pink eraserful. Do not invite sketchy Neopians or those with applications/posts full of chatspeak and illiteracy! Please thoroughly read the Invite Tutorial before accepting any members!

We are looking for a new committee head! The committee head is responsible for:
- Neomailing all the members who have not posted for a week and kindly ask them to chat more
- Teaching the new members of the committee what there is to know. *points to invite tutorial*
- Deleting members who have not posted for a month
- Making sure Kaye doesn't eat too much chocolate
- And of course, advertising at 4-6 hours a week herself
Activities Committee
neo.anxious is governed, not by a council, but by pink erasers. We truly exemplify this through our magical cookies. Now what's that? you ask. Shushhh, I'm talking! Member committees are in charge of every aspect of the guild; from inviting new members, running activities, making layouts, and planning world domination under the supervision of Dr. Sloth. 
The Activities Committee is in charge of:
- Coming up with ideas: chat/private message/neomail each other to come up with new ideas for guild activities (NOTE: Please make sure these ideas are appropriate, thanks)
- Hosting activities: host approved guild activities on the website and updating daily
The Activities Committee will never accept new members unless Sloth needs another minion to do his bidding. The requirements to join the Activities Committee are as follows:
- Rank: HYPER or higher
- Member For: 2 months or longer
- Abilities: Able to devote 7 hours or more weekly, able to code basic HTML, able to withstand long periods of tedious work

Shushhh, I'm talking! Okay, Member commi- OHMYGOD! SLOTH IS COMING, TAKE COVER! -hides behind cursed guild pole- Oh thank gosh. ANYHOO, Member Committees are in charge of every aspect of the guild; from inviting new members, running activities, making layouts, planning special events, blahblahblah, the whole enchilada. 
The Newspaper Committee is in charge of:
- Farti- *sees Lori's face* er, I mean writing articles: one article is due per 2 months per feature.
- Keeping up with deadlines: people who cannot meet the 8-week deadline (by the 14th of every second month) will get a strike; 3 strikes and you're out! -Kaye comes and shoves over boring dude talking- PSH! 3 strikes? You'll just face the wrath of me!
-gets pink erasers out- Please be advised that articles received after the 14th of each month will not be awarded PP.
The Newspaper Committee will always accept new members unless you hate pink erasers. Then you'll just get a good smacking. 
The requirements to join the Newspaper Committee are as follows:
- Rank: CALM or higher
- Member For: 1 week or longer
- Abilities: Able to devote 4 hours or more weekly, able to code basic HTML, able to complete their articles, able to proofread their own articles as well as others or the Grammar Queen will steal the N key on your keyboard and you will be doomed with Nlessness FOREVER!! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

giving PP to authors who have submitted their articles on time
maintaining an overall smooth running of the newspaper

The Design Committee is in charge of:
- Creating guild layouts: designing and coding guild layouts including guild logos.
- Designing guild banners: for use by members to advertise the guild in their shops/lookups/petpages.
- Making graphics for misc. tasks: creating graphics for activities and other events
- Creating graphics for the website: creating graphics to offer on our official website, including user lookups, shop layouts, blogs, adoptables, etc.
- Keeping our indoor plumbing working properly: our guild members need to relieve themselves comfortably, okay?!
The Design Committee will always accept new members. The requirements to join the Design Committee are as follows:

Rules
Sadly, every guild has rules and we're no exception. We look at it as a way to protect ourselves.
- No chatspeak or spamming. This is our number one rule simply because we pride ourselves in being a LITERATE guild. If English isn't your first language, it's no big deal! We're not discriminating against anyone; we just feel that the English language was created to be used properly.
- No begging or scamming. Beggars and scammers are lower than the lowest speck of bacteria on the smallest speck of dirt in the whole wide Neopian world. You really don't want to be that low, do you?
- Participate and have fun. A guild policy we strictly follow is deleting members who have not posted in the past month, any members who have been in the guild for a week but have not posted 5 times, and any members who have been in the guild for two weeks but have not posted 10 times. We don't hold the guild together so Neopians can shield themselves from guild invitations (that's what the block button is for!). So post at least once a week or so, and try to join in on the fun! If you need to go away for a month or so, notify Rebecca so she won't delete you. We don't bite, promise!
- Be courteous to others. Acceptance of other members is something we hold very close to our hearts. We are a warm, welcoming family, we include everyone, and we have zero tolerance for making another guild member feel uncomfortable.
- Follow the NeoRules. Anything The Neopets Team doesn't like, we don't like. Simple enough!.
- Enable guild mailings!! Although we cannot make sure you follow this rule, it is totally encouraged. We rarely send out guild mailing, but when we do, you can be sure it's important! It's also fun to be kept up-to-date on huge guild events, council elections, and new rules. To enable guild mailings, go here and make sure you check off the "Enable Guild Mailings" box.
- For being illiterate, we will warn you once, suspend you the second time, and delete you the third time. Literacy is something we take VERY seriously.
- For being considered inactive, you will receive an automatic deletion, with no warning.
- For insulting any member, you will be immediately deleted from the guild. If you find that a member has insulted you, please contact Stormehh.
- For not following the NeoRules, if TNT hasn't frozen you already, we will block you.
- For not enabling guild mailings, we will send Dr. Sloth's minions after you. Believe me, there are lots of them- and they're all equipped with long lasting hair gel!
Ranks
Every guild has ranks, but most require you to donate. Not us. No way. While donations are nice, neopoints aren't what makes a great Neopian! Below is a brief guideline of how to get promoted. Be advised that Committee Members and Council may adjust your rank for reasons other than post counts or participation in activities. We like to show members we appreciate them!
There has been a recent change in the rank system due to the overwhelming amount of people who met the standards for the highest rank. By making the requirements higher, we hope to increase participation and acknowledge those who are doing great things for the guild! Please note that if you are on the member adoption committee, you will be given invite admin. However, your rank will depend solely on your post count, because we think this is the fairest and most efficient way.

Invite Tutorial
So, you've been accepted to the Member Adoption Committee, or you have invite privilege because you talk too much! Before you start inviting everyone on that Guildless board, stop and think about your responsibilities. You will be monitoring who gets in the guild, and who doesn't. The people you invite will affect the literacy of the guild, and relationships towards members. Sound scary? Well, with the right information, you'll be inviting the right people in no time! Remember;

So, you've posted your beautiful neo.anxious ad and you've received your first application! The most important thing you should look for is complete literacy. That means no chatspeak! Here's a little about what you should look for in each question:
1: Their name. It doesn't matter if it's silly, but a good name consists of a capital letter.
2: A creative response as opposed to the standard "smart, nice, funny, cool" looks good!
3: Again, look for proper spelling/punctuation/grammar. It should list the board AND explanation. You can learn a bit about themselves through the explanation.
4: I like this question. It should express CREATIVITY. It should NOT be "cool" or "weird". If it makes you smile or laugh, that's definitely a plus! (+3 sentences)
5: This is an important question. Answers like "because im guildless" or "b/c you advertised" are not good. Besides expressing literacy, this question pretty much makes or breaks the chance to join. It should be very courteous like "because it sounds like a great guild that I would really enjoy chatting in. For example, I like how..." or "because I've looked at the webbie and it seems like this guild has a lot going for it. I especially enjoyed the..." are good! Yes, we know that they want to join the guild, but we want the specifics of it! The most annoying thing a person can put is "because #member told me to." If #member left, would you leave too? People should be able to join the guilds they FEEL like joining. Although #member might be great, it doesn't necessarily mean #member's friend will be just as wonderful. When I receive an application like that, I usually send a neomail back to that person telling them to resubmit the application with a better reason and without a reference.
Now that you've read the tutorial, let's take a look at some sample applications:

What would you do? Well, this person expressed literacy, but let's take a look at #3. Does it seem like our type of guild member? #4 isn't very creative. and #5 is just a blah answer. I wouldn't accept this person. How about this next one:

3. I like the help boards because that seems to be the board with the least chatspeak, and also I love seeing neopians help other neopians. Isn't that the point of neopets anyway?

Your favorite Neoboard and why: Help boards; I spend the most time on them and find them both the most useful and enjoyable to participate on. All the "real" neopets questions are there; non specific to games or quests. The people can be quite entertaining too.
What do you think about Rainbow Dung (the item)? When I first saw the item I actually laughed. Good lord, what could the creature that made that have eaten? Frightening thought. Silly, fun item. I have a few in my SDB. (shhh)
Why do you want to join neo.anxious? I've been playing neopets for a long time and have joined (and clearly left) a few guilds. None of them struck my fancy and for the most part it was because of the people. I get tired of reading chatspeak and trying to participate on guild boards when they're filled with it. The idea of a private guild where this simply will not happen is very attractive. After reading Rainbow Dung's petpage, I was impressed both by the use of decent graphics and css and the maturity of what was written there in contrast to other guilds. Let me just say that I am applying for the guild. It sounds rather different from other guilds I have been apart of, and I have been in plenty of guilds in my seven faithful years of Neopets. You guys sound like a bunch of creative little fun feeders who I can leech onto for a while, before I drain all of the liveliness out of your minions I mean, fellow members *shifty eyes*
Honestly, I have been told I have multiple personalities, I probably do. One minute I will be throwing things at people (with much affection of course), the next I will be curled up in the fetal position in my box loosing the plot - but hey, I guess Neopets is my escape ;D And for the record, I like using long descriptive words that don't really fit into what I am saying.
Well, I better get onto these nifty little questions of yours, I know how they work...they seem like small little innocent questions, but then they pounce on you and make you type more and more. Gosh - maybe that is just me. I think I should stop now n_n; Really, I am not that spastic.

I am somewhat multi-coloured, refering to my personality of course. I am pretty open minded and of course, I hang around like a bad smell ...Wow, have you ever thought that very possibly Rainbow Dung doesn't smell bad? Possibly it smells like...a rainbow? These are lifes mysterious questions.

Your favorite Neoboard and why: Though I lurk on the FC boards most often, I'd have to say that the AC is my favorite Neoboard. I am an avid avatar collecter, and thoroughly enjoy working towards goals and obtaining results. The boards aren't overrun with chatspeak like some of the other boards, which is very important to me, as I see chatspeak as lazy and unappealing to look at. Anyways, helping people obtain avatars and finding ways to get avatars myself is a hobby that I really enjoy, and what better place to be then the AC?
What do you think about Rainbow Dung (the item)? Instead of writing a paragraph responce, I've decided to write a short poem to express my feelings.
Rainbow dung makes it's first debut

Why do you want to join neo.anxious? I've been guildless for awhile trying to find the perfect guild. Guilds really mean alot to me on neo and I've had some really wonderful guilds in the past, which only feuls my need to find a suitable guild for me now that they've fallen apart. I've been searching recently for a good, literate, active guild with friendly people, since it's what I've lost ever since my old guilds went their seperate ways. I've been hoping to find somewhere that I can actually be myself and talk to others freely, and I'm hoping to find this in neo.anxious. In looking through your guild webbie, reading the lines "not just a guild, we are a family, a very tightly bonded family", this really sends sparks up saying that this guild has really potential for what I'm looking for. I want to talk to guild members as if we've been friends forever and really feel like I fit in instead of just talking to strangers like you do on the Neoboards. I also agree with all of your rules, though I don't know who wouldn't. ;D

Tell us About Yourself in Four Words: Prolific, sporadic, witty, done
Your Favorite Neoboard and Why: I'm actually not a huge fan of the neoboards. They're very transient for the most part, and sometimes quite a bit egotistical. I prefer guild boards because you can actually forge friendships and what not on them a lot easier. If I'm on the boards though, it's usually the avatar boards. When avatars were coming out alot more frequently I was mildly obsessed with them. I like the puzzle solving aspect of them and the theories that pop up ont he avatar chat are fun to follow. (Oh, and plot boards when they're around! Love plots!)
What Do You Think About Rainbow Dung (The Item)? It's sort of celebdung. Like deep underneath it smells like dung, looks like dung and probably tastes like dung (though I'm not going to be the one to try it) but it's wearing a fancy outfit a la Gucci on the outside, so it thinks it's more talented and deserves more respect. I sooooo see through it's little ploy. (I actually don't, rainbow dung and I have a bit of an ongoing tiff....it's pretty colors make me reflexively click on it at the Money Tree even though i don't really want it!)
Why Do You Want to Join Neo.Anxious? Neo seems to be more and more void of guilds with a bit of personality. I really want a guild where I feel like I fit in, even if I have something more to say than "snowagers awake" or "go feed your petpet to Turmy" (although that stuff is fine, I'd like something that's about a bit more than that! Also, neo.anxious seems to have lots of opportunity to become involved, and I like being part of a guild, not just checking in on the board once every few weeks. Looking forward to hearing back! Neo.Anxious seems to be the most promising guild I've come across in ages!

3. Your favorite Neoboard and why: I like all of them as I am pretty open-minded. As someone not to miss out on a quick profit, I may be seen lurking on the trading board. I also follow the stockmarket and may be seen there offering some guidance to newer Neopians. Having read through the guild's pages, I see that advertising is particularly important and so I would expect that I shall become fairly accustomed to the guild board fairly quickly!
4. What do you think about Rainbow Dung (the item)? To quote Oscar Wilde, "No object is so beautiful that, under certain conditions, it will not look ugly." Perhaps it is secretly beautiful but we are overlooking this?
5. Why do you want to join neo.anxious? I have been looking for likeminded Neopians for some time and having read all about the guild I think I might finally have found some! Ghani once said, "Almost everything you do will seem insignificant, but it is important that you do it", maybe what little I bring will be of great importance to the guild in times to come.

Your favorite Neoboard and why: I think it's a tie between the Quests and Altador Cup III Neoboards. I find the Quests Neoboard to be full of helpful people that will either give you the requested item or shop link. There is rarely, if ever, an unanswered post. I am also quite fond of the Altador Cup III Neoboard; there are literally "hordes" of people available to converse with. I enjoy listening to other's perspectives on the games along with their contributions.
What do you think about Rainbow Dung (the item)? It's colorful.... I also find the different colors distract you from the smell! I'm so sorry, my application was too long to be sent in just one neomail!

Why do you want to join ansioso? I think I would be a wonderful addition to your guild. I must have a guild that is active and respectful. I have read the guild's webpage and find the description to be exactly what I'm looking for. I have not been in a guild for some time (I have not found any that suited me, until now). However, I contribute greatly to whichever guild I'm a part of. In my last guild I had numerous activities available for members to participate in, these include: Illusen's Glade, Who am I? (Where clues are given describing a neopets character or location, the winner then recieved a prize usually worth 1,000np or more), and Pet of the Month (a prize was also given to the winner, usually a codestone or faerie). It shouldn't be much longer (my application)....

Then there is my "crowning achievement." For my previous guild, I created an interactive Haunted Woods vs. Faerieland plot. The guild members could join a team of their choosing and play the days "featured game" to earn points for their team. This plot, sadly, was never finished due to lack of interest. I would like to make this plot available to ansioso, if you're interested. I do ask that I be "in charge" of the plot, mainly because I have written and edited it. I don't want to seem like I'm being pushy, just know the offer's on the table. I've also been talking to Molly (wintertempo, she told me of your guild), who I find to be very nice, about other ideas for the guild such as an adoption agency. One last part, I swear!

2. Me in four words: Energetic, Obssesive, Singer, Compulsive
3. Favourite neoboard and why?: The Daily Dare Board! I got hints and tips for how to beat AAA in all of the games from the friendly people there. I also enjoyed the speculation as to what they all think will happen next. They also helped me find hidden items around neopets that would have stayed hidden from me otherwise. I was never good at playing hide and seek I guess, I can't hide anything and giggle when I hide. Overall it was the helpfullness of people and the insane insights to the future they were having that drew me to that board.
4. What do you think about Rainbow Dung? I've tried to collect many things over my time on neopets and I'm sad to say that Rainbow Dung has been one. Too many people seem to enjoy the Dung Fad. I'd much rather find something new and different. I always start with a dream of having enough of something to make the price inflate, but I lose patients too easily and *sigh* I fail. At present, I am purchasing the Negg Nobody Found Last Year, but only for cheap cheap cheap! But I'm not cheap. Merely frugal. Huge difference. That said. Rainbow Dung is pretty to look at, because I love bright colours, but the smell gets to me and knocks me right out.
5. Why do you want to join neo.anxious? The name intrigued me on the neoboards during my guild search. I went to the webbie and decided to look uber interesting. It looked to be my style of humour and friendly enough that I wouldn't feel out of place if I got accepted. I wanted somewhere that was active so that I feel like I am doing something on neopets besides staring at a screne and dreaming of neopoints suddenly appearing. This guild would give me something to do besides wanting to throw dung, plain dung by the way, at my sister for her insane amount of neopets. I want to do something with my account and make some new friends in the process. Really, I'm bored and need something to do. What good is PP, anyways?

You automatically forfeit all your PP. D;

Then you'll have to start over! We do not keep track of PP for people who decide to leave the guild. Once you leave, your PP is gone. Sorry.

Spread the Warmth
So I see you've stumbled upon this very interesting activity. Spread the Warmth is a guild quilt that we put together, with a little bit of each of our members in every piece. This activity awards 250PP!
All you need to do is send
worthtalkingabout a 50 x 50 px image to be added to the quilt. It's really simple. You don't need to make any fancy designs or anything. Here's an example:
