You gaze in awe at the beautiful underwater scenery. What intricate corals! Swarms of silver glittering fish surround you, glistening in the sun's rays. You hardly even wonder what you are doing under water in the first place. Just as the thought occurs to you that you can't actually breathe here in the sea, you are surprised by a voice behind you. "Hi there, guest!" You wheel around, emitting a burst of bubbles, and see a small ghoti hovering in the water in front of your face. "We've been expecting you," he says, gliding slowly towards the reef.

Confused, you glance around. There really isn't anything to be seen. Or so you think. Just as you see something flash up, the ghoti speaks up again. "Ah, you are probably wondering where the other one is. That's only logical. But you will see soon enough. For now, let me guide your way through this application. My name is Ono, short for Onomatopoeia_ Feel free to ask any questions!"

You are about to utter a question, but before you have time to open your mouth, Ono stops behind a particularly large chunk of coral and looks around, as if to see if the coast is clear. "Now that we're no longer out in the open ocean, I can tell you what we're dealing with here…"

**Stats**

Name: Fesk
Gender: Male
Species: Draik
Age: 13 (equivalent of human years)
Length: (From head to tip of tail) 3.0m
Weight: 120 kg
Color: Half-Maraquan-Half-Camouflage
Brush color: Camo (later Maraquan)
Personality: Shy, bashful, very hesitant, bright, sensitive
Powers: Blends in, understands every language, has some power of controlling waves and currents (but isn't aware of this and thus only uses it unintentionally, which is very rare)

**Personality**

Fesk is by nature a very shy Draik, who never really had a very social life. He grew up with everything he needed for survival, but not more. He can understand any language, but is left out pretty much all the time, and his half-camouflage appearance makes it easier for him to hide from encounters. Although he bitterly pines for some social contact, he is just far too shy and nervous to seek it himself.

But despite his lack of contact, Fesk has turned out to be a very sensitive being. Veiled by his (mostly) camouflage appearance, he is able to observe others in peace – an activity in which he often engages. He is very in-tune with everything around him, and immediately knows when the creatures around him are suffering or are sad. Oftentimes, he will try to help them as best he can without being discovered, and many creatures around the reef have come to feel that they have a protective spirit watching over them.

Left to his own, Fesk displays a very thoughtful personality. He will often brood on others' matters. Although lonely, he never really reflects much on his own condition, tending instead to think about the problems of others and how they could be solved. This has lent him a very inquisitive and bright nature. Fesk is a bright problem solver in all areas, and truly delights in the puzzles everyday life sets before him.

Though he is content with his more passive lifestyle, deep inside, he has a yearning to discover more. Occasionally, this leads him to go on expeditions outside his native reef, from which he usually returns in an even more thoughtful mood than before. He then often spends days processing what he has seen and learnt. Then he will go back to his calm lifestyle for some time, until this inner drive lures him away once more.

The Ghoti looks at your confused -disallowed_word- more ornamental) set of fins behind his armpits, the main, rather large set of fins where his hind legs should be (he doesn't have any!), and another small set near the end of the tail. His front limbs are used more for finding his way through rocks and other obstacles than for actual propulsion. The fins and front legs are both completely camouflaged, although the fins are also slightly transparent (it is really hard to see that they are though!).

So, except for a couple of fixed-color features ( the tufts of fur, the stripes, the quills & ridges), Fesk blends into his environment completely. Unlike most camouflaged creatures, his skin is an exact replica of what is going on on the other side of him; so if a fish were to swim by, he would have a fish shape swimming along on his skin. This gives the impression that he is see-through, although he in fact is very solid, just blending in.

On his back, Fesk has 6 long quills, a set of three in a row on each side, the longest being near his head. These are a fiery red, just like the many ridges on his back. On his head and tail he has a bright yellow-orange tuft of hair. But his perhaps most distinguishing feature are the stripes that cover his back, going down to about the middle of the tail, and then the set of three stripes at the end of his tail where his second set of fins is. These stripes glow, and also reflect Fesk's energy level and/or happiness. If they were to completely extinguish, it would be a sure sign that there was no longer any life left in his body."

A flash of lightning illuminated the sea. The reef, which looked so peaceful and serene at day, suddenly had the air of a treacherous forest: Shadows fled across the rocks, as if in some wild, frenzied dance. Fragments of coral were hurled through space as the currents smashed through the reef.

A young Draikess hurriedly swam through the water. The torrents battered against her, and washed her back and forth as she struggled to keep going in one direction. But she didn't falter. Her glowing stripes illuminated her body, giving her an almost eerie appearance as fought the waves. She was growing weaker, one could see that, but she kept on going, each stroke of her powerful tail losing a bit of power. Finally, she could go no further. Her strength failed her altogether, and she was swept with brute force into the coral. The young Draikess was smashed into the rocks. She lost her consciousness, and sunk down amid the turbulent waters.

Some time passed before anything happened. But then the young Draikess awoke to a deep voice. "Lady," it said, "Lady." She turned to her side. She could not see anything, but the voice was calm and reassuring, she closed her sense to all but this soothing voice. "Leave him here," boomed the voice gently. "Leave him. The sea will take care of him." At this, the Draikess' paws loosened to reveal a small Draik baby. It was weak and feeble. The currents rocked it as it rolled from the Draikess' arms. Its stripes glowed only faintly, like his mother's their light was slowly fading. "He will be safe," repeated the voice. "As long as I am here, nothing in the sea will ever harm him. The waves shall lull him to sleep, and even the lowest of the creatures shall not touch him. The currents will obey his fancies, and he will always have enough. Sleep now, he will be safe." With that the Draikess closed her eyes, and fell into a deep sleep. As the tempest continued, her stripes faded completely, and the child was picked up by the current and carried far, far away.

**12 years later**

The Spirit of the Sea had kept its word: The young Draik baby had been safe. He had had enough to eat, and was one with the sea. But yet there was no real happiness in him. He did not know anything of his past, his origins. He was alone, and very much so. He had always been alone, but the thought occurred to him that this was not, in fact, the way things always were, for everywhere he looked there was joy and happiness, even the smallest of the fish had their swarm, and the largest creatures of the sea had their companions. Yet, there he was, all alone.

It was nearing winter. The reef retained its summery warmth, but the keen creature could sense a touch of the artic in some currents. Not much, but enough to let it know that winter was coming to the northern seas. This was the case with Fesk. The slight chill in the currents fed his desire to travel again, and he grew restless. Ice! He had heard other creatures talk of it, though he doubted that many had ever ventured so far north. Mountains of cold white ice. He could scarcely imagine what it was; but as his dreams had more giant cities of this white, cold material every night, the curiosity inside him grew and grew, until he resolved to voyage up to the northernmost seas to see for himself. It seemed a grand adventure to him, and he could scarce wait to reach these mysterious waters.

And so he embarked on his journey. The first few days, he swam at a slow, steady pace. He passed through jungles of thick, luscious green kelp. Fesk marveled at these immense plants. They were so plain, yet, in a way, beautiful. There were swarms of many-colored fish, mainly silver. Thousands of them, all together. How great it must be to be with so many others! And then there were lone fish that blended in with the kelp, much like himself – as he passed through the forest, his body color changed from kelp-green to dark blue. He watched in amusement as silver shapes danced across his skin when he swam past the schools of silver minnows.

Fesk then came to shallow muddy waters, where the sea grass whipped against him as he sped along the ocean floor, leaving a cloud of dirt. Occasionally, one of his legs or fins would get ensnared in the weeds, but he would stop irritably and gently loosen them.

One day, after taking a much needed but equally unwanted rest, Fesk cam across a curious sight: In the distance, he saw clouds of dirt spiraling up to the surface, from what seemed to be a writhing mass of seaweed. Driven by his curiosity, Fesk raced to the spot. For a moment the bundle of sea grass was still; but just as Fesk was about to nudge it with his nose, it burst into furious movement once more. Amid the clouds of muddy water, Fesk saw some blue scales flash up. This was evidently a creature in distress. He couldn't imagine how a creature could entangle itself so completely in sea grass, but he knew at once that he must do something to help it. He waited for the ball of seaweed to stop thrashing once more and then went at it with his teeth and claws, pushing against it with his bushy tail. "Argh!" came a distressed cry from inside the tangled mess of sea grass, "must I be attacked in this helpless state? Save me someone! Help!" Unsure what to answer, Fesk stayed at it, ripping strands of sea grass off the creature. "Please help me!" squealed the creatures voice, "some mad thing is trying to eat me!!!" But Fesk did not let off until every single piece of seaweed was off.

The creature revealed itself to be a fish; A Soreen, to be exact. It was a peculiar creature with shimmering scales of varying shades of blue, and frilly, lavish fins. It looked puzzled at Fesk's camouflaged body for a second before realizing where the Draik's head was. "Hrmph," it muttered. But Fesk still did not reply, leaving the Soreen dumbfounded. Seeing that this so silent Draik was not liable to harm him, the Soreen turned to Fesk, swishing his tail with a slight uncertainty. "Hmm… Seeing I am not eaten yet, I assume it was your intent to save me. In that case, many thanks." By now, though, Fesk had glided over to a clump of seagrass, and let the non-glowing parts of his body blend in, while blushing ever so slightly. "Are you embarrassed to have saved me? Well I guess that Draiks don't usually save their food. Can't you say anything? Are you mute?" As the Soreen said this, Fesk tried to bury his face in the greenery. The Soreen watched, puzzled by this Draik's actions and wondering what to do next. "Maybe I should introduce myself then. I am Zoran. I live hereabouts. But now I am forever indebted to you, and will follow you to the ends of the earth." At this, Fesk, with considerable difficulty in overcoming his shyness, extricated his head from the weeds.

With a shy grin, he murmured "You… you don't have to… um… follow me." Shocked at his own speech, he bashfully covered his face with his paws, causing him to lose balance. He regained it fairly quickly, but the Soreen could see a deep red blush working its way through Fesk's camouflaged skin. "Now don't be like that" replied Zoran with an attempted smile of good nature. "May I at least know the name of my heroic savior?" Fesk blushed again, this time even more deeply, and his fine scales became tinged with red spots. "M-my n-name is Fesk" he answered, looking to the side and swishing his tail nervously. "Fesk is it?" Zoran cast an inspecting eye over Fesk. "Well then Master Fesk, we must certainly get to work on your behavior. I won't stand a nervous, twitching, puny excuse for a Draik around me. But seeing you're bound to me… I guess we'll just have to work on it." At this Zoran let out a deep sigh. Fesk peeked out from his paws covering his face with a nervous curiosity. What a strange being this Soreen was!

Fesk sped off northwards, leaving Zoran staring after him, puzzled. "Now where's he got off to?" he muttered to himself before speeding away after him. The chill in the current was getting more noticeable, and other signs, too, told them that they were indeed venturing further and further northward. The occasional reefs gave way to desolate rocky formations, barnacle and clam encrusted. Zoran would have liked to go back to the sunny reefs from whence he came, but Fesk pressed diligently onward_ with that determination that is so typical of Draiks, and was at least one draikish feature that Fesk possessed.

The seas became rough and wild, unlike the smooth seas of the tropics that only occasionally were subject to storm. Fesk felt alive. At times he would display very un-Fesk-like spontaneity and leap clear of the surface only to be pelted down by battering rain and high waves. Roaring with laughter, Fesk breached the surface once more to taste the sweet rain. Zoran was shocked by the young Draik's sudden change of nature. True, there were no other creatures about, but in his short time knowing him, Zoran had never seen Fesk so vigorous. And so they traveled on.

Soon they were met by the first snow flakes, then by a first, albeit tiny, chunk of ice. Fesk gazed at this little frozen piece of water, fascinated by it. "Look… Zoran!" he exclaimed in glee, shoving the small piece of ice under Zoran's nose. Then he held it up to the sunlight. It shimmered with a million colors. He resolved that he would keep this tiny fragment as a souvenir. Zoran, who was not as delighted by the ice, wanted to explain that it would melt, sooner or later. But as he looked at Fesk's joyous face, he decided to leave him the fun and tell him later. But it came as it must, and only a few hours of carrying along his precious shard of ice, Fesk found himself empty-handed. He nudged Zoran gently "It's… gone…" Zoran saw the sorrow in Fesk's eyes. "Fesk… it's ice, it has to leave sometime. Ice disappears when it feels like it." He was aware that this was somewhat of a lie, but he wanted to phrase it gently, for he knew that Fesk tended to be sensitive. Somehow he felt that Fesk liked having someone around with whom he could relate to and converse; Fesk had indeed lost a lot of his initial shy towards Zoran, and enjoyed telling him about everything that fascinated and begrudged him.

Fesk's sorrow at the loss of his piece of ice was short-lived, for soon the two companions reached seas filled with ice, and to Fesk's ever growing amazement, the icebergs became taller and taller the further north they moved. And the icebergs not only reared up high into the sky, but also deep into the sea. The tunnels which they created underwater were a constant source of amusement for the little Draik, and Zoran, though less enthralled by the majestic sculptures of ice, sped along, too. "Zoran, there must be a city of ice around here! Let's go find it!" Fesk's enthusiasm overwhelmed the poor Soreen. Zoran had never heard of such a thing, a city of ice. But little was he aware that Fesk had been dreaming for a long time of cities sculpted of ice, and that to find one was Fesk's only goal.

To be continued (very soon!)…

Ono laughs. "Zoran is a close friend of mine. The story has, without a doubt, introduced you to this very quirky character, and showed you how two so very different critters came to be together.

Zoran is a Soreen. That's a kind of fish that is often held as a domesticated petpet. But Zoran is not domesticated – he is a wild Soreen from the very exact middle of the open ocean. Zoran parades a very stoic, often indignant personality to the public, but deep down inside, he is as soft-hearted as a marshmallow. He enjoys sticking up his nose in attempt to seem as arrogant as can be, but even Fesk can see that he isn't at all what he pretends to be.

The real Zoran is extremely good natured and expects others to be so, too. He loves to roar with laughter, which is very amusing to watch, as it usually looks more like an explosion of bubbles than anything else. But Zoran also has a more serious side: he strives to be as noble and virtuous as can be, and does indeed feel indebted to Fesk for freeing him from a clump of seaweed. Because of this, he vows never to leave Fesk's side. And as he starts to see how shy and antisocial Fesk is, he resolves to cure Fesk of his hesitance and shy. He also considers himself Fesk's official spokesperson and protector."

Oh, and by the way, Zoran, along with a few other random pieces, can be seen in Barking's gallery!

**Roleplay with Illiaqa**
Ono grins "This is an ever growing roleplay. Be sure to check in every so often, as it keeps getting longer. The featured pet is Silvers Illiaqa!

A lush wind husked along the ocean's surface. A strange creature peeked out from the soft, gentle waves. It was a peculiar being, as it could barely be made out from its surroundings. Except for a plume of bright yellow-gold fur on its head, it seemed to merged perfectly with the environment. But if one were to gaze beneath the oceans surface, one would see that this being had several features that made it stand out: fiery red quills and ridges on its back, glowing yellow-orange stripes and another plume of the golden fur adorning the tip of its tail. It turned around and gazed up at the cliff rearing up behind him. The bleak cliff face was deserted save for a small family of seabirds that had its home at the top of the cliff. In front of him, the ocean lay serenely, illuminated by the suns fading rays. The creature scanned the horizon, pleasantly surprised that he had the ocean's surface all to himself. It gazed for a while at the setting sun, lost in thought, listening to the waves lapping gently against the cliffs. Presently, the creature perked up. Something was approaching from behind...

A small dragon-like creature walked slowly up to the small cliff, taking its time and savoring the evening air. The sunset sparkled off of its deep blue eyes, and the earrings it had in each ear, the two gold rings around its tail, and the golden plates covering the bottom of its legs. It's tealy-blue color stood out from the rest of it's dark-green surroundings. Its wings were neatly folded along its back, but when unfurled, the wings were of two different colors, dark blue and a very light blue. A gentle breeze rustled through its dark-blue mane. Letting the warm colors of the sunset wash over her, the young Draik looked down at the sea lapping up against the small cliff. She blinked. Something bright red had just appeared in the waves. She blinked again, and it was gone, leaving a few bubbles on the ocean's surface. Alarmed, she slowly lifted her wings and dropped off of the cliff, attempting a better look at this strange creature that had invaded her territory

Suddenly something plummeted from the cliff towards the strange creature. Alarmed, it quickly ducked under the surface, leaving only the slightest ripple upon the waves, only to reappear again a short distance away behind a jagged rock. As he resurfaced, he whisked his tail nervously as the saw the creature get nearer and nearer. For a moment, he was blinded by the last rays of light glittering on the ocean's surface, but he shook himself quietly and cautiously, and then looked once more in the direction he had come from.

The young Draik sped towards the creature in the ocean, calculating the chances of whether or not this strange animal was a friend or foe. Deciding to take a chance, she swooped down and started circling above its head, waiting to see how it would react. Her passive and perhaps a bit worried -disallowed_word- and this isn't just on Neo… she's like that in real life, too!)"

As Ono dashes off again for another clump of sea grass to hide behind, you finally manage to ask a question. "So… if this Barking of yours were to get Fesk, what exactly would she do with him?"

Ono pauses and you can tell that he is about to launch into another one of those lengthy speeches… "Well… For one thing, you could always count on Barking to shower her pets with excessive love. That may sound really nice, but to be honest, I think my pet has gotten a bit too much affection lately. Another reason why we need someone new in the family. So that Vee will finally get only a healthy dose of love.

But on the more practical side: Barking tends to keep all her pets in the NeoLodge. Not, of course, because she doesn't want them, but so that she has time to earn neopoints to get them cool things and makeovers, and so that she can work on her petpages in peace. And yes, she is very enthusiastic about making her pets an own personality, a petpage, and, of course, plenty of adoptables. Not only does she work tirelessly on art and BC entries for them, she also gets other people to portray them. My pet, Vee, for example, has a very large collection of art that other people drew.

And barking loves to roleplay. She is still fairly new at roleplaying, but she enjoys it greatly, and isn't that bad of a writer. Of course, this means that her pets do have distinct personalities. And like real people, they constantly change and grow. Her characters nearly always develop a life of their own. Vulkanwave the Lutari is a perfect example of this: Vee started out as a near perfect character, friendly, young and willing to please. But as he took part in one BC after the other, he started to grow fairly vain. And he has trouble concentrating. Lately, he has also decided that he doesn't want a Draik in the family to steal his precious affection.

And then there would be the issue of painting Fesk. Barking would love to see Fesk as a beautiful Maraquan Draik. She isn't that fast of a saver, because she has a busy life off Neo, but she does continuously save. Barking has about half the money for a Maraquan paint brush saved up. In the meantime, she would probably paint Fesk Camouflage."

As you reach a strange formation of Coral that seems to have some glowing bits, Ono stops once more. "This is where I tell you a bit about my pets owner:, he says. He seems kind of nervous as he glances over to the side. "Please warn me if my pet is approaching… he's a red Lutari with lots of feathers stuck in his fur. He wouldn't be very happy if he knew I was helping Barking get a Draik…" You are about to ask more about this odd pet, but Ono starts talking before you can inquire about this strange Lutari.

He coughs once, shortly and politely, and then launches into his speech: "Well, Barking actually goes by many names. When writing about herself, she usually refers to herself as Barking, but she also goes by Zebu, Barkingzebu, and her real-world name, Maya. Whatever my pet, Vee, might say, she is actually a very nice and friendly person.

**Maya in Real Life**

In her everyday life, Maya is a quirky high-school senior. She is very content to act like a child (and she is nearly 18!), and those who know that she still plays Neopets often say 'Wow, Maya. You really are still a kid!', and she replies, smiling 'and I wouldn't want it any other way!'. Yes, she is kind of weird. Maya is a slightly above average student, but she usually doesn't like talking about school grades that much. She much prefers running off on random expeditions with her friends at lunch.

In her free-time, Maya can usually be found either walking her dog, engaging in various theatrical activities or, as probably the case right now, in front of her computer. Although those are her primary activities, she is interested in just about everything: Art, politics, science, games, reading… the list just goes on and on.

**Barking on Neo**

Let's start from the very beginning: Barking has been on Neopets for a very, very long time. She was there when the Gelerts and Lupes got their makeover, and when Neopia was still pretty empty. That was at the end of 5th Grade (you can do the math seeing she's now a senior). But unfortunately, she spent so much time on Neopets, that it skyrocketed her parent's phone bill. They pretty much made her stop. She feebly attempted to keep playing secretly and at an afterschool Internet session, but soon she had to give up Neo entirely, and went on a hiatus that lasted many years (until she got her own Internet connection!). Her account from way back then was "halfbrownie." It was deleted during its years of inactivity. She recreated an account with that name as her side (but it is, I must admit, fairly inactive). Her main (and the only account she really uses), is "barkingzebu."

So now you may want to know what Barking actually does to waste so much time on Neo. Well, for one, she is a fairly active BCer. Both of her Lutaris are currently goldbanned. In general, she just enjoys art, and sometimes takes art requests, and works untiringly on Vee's Lutari adoptables. And although her art is... well, not really that perfect, she constantly tries to improve. Vulkanwave's petpage has a chronological collection of some of her Lutari art. She always takes a while to find her style with a certain species, but she's unstoppable in her progress! And then, she's also very active in her BC guild, CAU, and hangs around the BC boards quite a lot. Lately she's also been fairly busy playing games and miserably failing at auction sniping to save up for her two dream pets – a Maraquan Draik and a Faerie Techo.

And Barking does have some experience transferring pets with the Quick Adopt Link, so far, all of them sucessfully!"

The Ghoti takes a deep breath. "Poor you," he says, "now you can see what kind of lunatics I live with…

Erm…. This picture is NOT of Barking. It is actually a picture of the rare Flumblegamazoo, a species on the verge to extinction. I guess Barking didn't want me to show you her real picture. Oh well, … I guess I'll just continue normally then.
I've told you a bit about Barking, so I will keep myself short: She is a friendly crazy person who belongs in a mental institution, and she spends way too much time on Neo. There. That summarizes it neatly."

Ono looks to both sides nervously before starting. "This here is Vulkanwave, he usually goes by Vee or Vee-Dawg. I guess you would call him my owner. He is a vain, selfish, ADD-plagued lunatic of a Lutari. Vee somehow feels the need to stick ridiculously colored feathers in his tail and behind his ear. Maybe it's his fashion sense. I've never been able to figure that out… He's won some trophies in the BC, and unfortunately that has only made him worse. He is sorta friendly,… that is, if you're not competing with him for anything. But who knows… maybe he just isn't quite normal because he spent most of his life on his own. He really loves me, though. I mean, he's nice enough… but… I guess he just has quite a few faults. He's going to be really cross with me when he finds out I've been helping Braking get a Draik. He really doesn't want any new pets in the family…

And this here is Wavebreezerider (Wave), Vee's older brother. He's of a very caring sort, but years of travel in some unknown lands have made him seem harsh and cold on the outside. He dearly loves his little brother, yet he left him alone for a long time to go traveling. No one really knows what this guy thinks, and maybe it is best that no one ever finds out. But in a way, I guess he is still the most normal of Barking's pets. He purposefully has no design, so that Barking is free to experiment with different looks. He was also kind enough to lend Barking this petpage for Fesk's application.

**Rays**

Glitt'ring rays of light
Fall on him, gently glowing
As the old sun sets

**Ode to Fesk**

In lightning and thunder you saw the light;
You were raised to live by the gentle sea,
To swim in the currents, hide in the lee,
And to admire every beautiful sight.
Though all alone in the sea's vast expanse,
You're content to frolic in the blue waves,
Lie calm when the sea's laced with misty haze,
And in the ocean's surge silently dance.
E'en the strongest tides will not pull you down.
Into loneliness and utter despair,
For you're always there, a bright shining star,
Ready with a smile to counter a frown.
And shy you may be, with skin like the air,
But I'll always remember you're not far.

However charming the little Ghoti might be, he is starting to bore you with all his babbling. You stifle a yawn, and as you open your eyes again, you see strange little draik figurines lined up on a barnacle-crusted rock. Ono turns around and sees you staring at them. "Oh," he exclaims, "I'd better tell you all about these. Barking thought some adoptables would be nice for this app, so she made these little chibi Draiks. You're welcome to take one if you wish. And if you want a custom, I'm sure Barking would willingly oblige. Just ask her. But mind you that you don't go claiming them as your own, changing them, entering them in contests, or removing the credit. She'd be very upset if you did, and it would probably end up in you getting reported."

**Basic Colors**

**Customs**
Don't take customs that aren't yours!

Ono waves. "Thanks everyone!!!

You suddenly see little pictures of draiks floating around in the water in front of you. You grab Ono by the tail just as he is about to depart for some other section again and ask "What are these?". Ono glances briefly at them, then answers."These are actually old adoptables from other apps of Barking's, but she thought it would be nice if they could still come to some use. So she put them here as makeables. Just save them to you computer and color them to look like your draik. Change whatever you want, but you must leave Barking's name on them.

Ono chuckles. "You know," he says, "Barking is really going a bit crazy... She's even dedicating stuff to that little Draik. I'm sure you'd like to have a look, though!"

**Userlookup**
Link Here
Barking's new userlookup (she still needs to get some coding right) features her main pet, Vee (Vulkanwave) the Lutari. But of course he's just scheming up some evil plans for Fesk... It should have become apparent that he kind of resists Barking in her attempts to get a Draik...

**Gallery**
Link Here
This is a small collection Fesk-themed things. Yes, she got sidetracked a bit and spent a bit of money on reef and draik items. In this modest gallery is also Zoran the Soreen:P Please excuse the fact that Wave is the gallerykeeper. I had to leave him something after stealing his petpage.

**Pet Lookup**
Link Here
Whee! More Feskiness! Many thanks to Dragons for the kind help with the lookup coding and the layout!

**Other**
Hmmm... I guess this one isn't quite a dedication, but sofar, Barking has saved up 1.7 million neopoints towards a Maraquan Paint Brush for Fesk.

You gaze in awe as you pass a gallery of beautiful pictures. "Ono, who drew these?" you ask, "they're wonderful!" Ono looks at the pictures, "These were drawn by some of Barking's close friends and other really nice people. I'll tell you who they're by as we go through them. And you can always drag them into the url box to see the full versions. You really should, in fact. On behalf on Barking, I'd love to thank everyone who contributed to this fantastic collection!

After spending hours of reading applications -- good and bad -- I am sure you are pretty much exhausted. Could your job get any harder? Probably so; but I am going to make it a little easier. After reading Barking's amazing application I am sure you already have a good idea what she is about. She is incredibly dedicated, and her art is amazing. It is hard to find a talented artist and a literate writer all in one; but Barking pulled it off. I know for a fact that she spent days on this application. She came up to me (not literally) and asked me to give her some advice on her application. I was blown away. Somewhere between the art, the story, and Fesk's personality I realized that I had to write her a recommendation. She deserves Fesk and Fesk deserves her.

It's hard to figure out where to start when trying to describe Barking. What I won't tell you is how she plays and feeds her pets everyday and love them whether this is true or not. What I will tell you though is how she is dedicated to what she begins; of course I hope the application speaks for itself when I say that. Please note that when I use the term artist I do not take it lightly, which is why when referring to Barking I am able to use is with no second thoughts. I realize that I cannot force you to choose Barking as Fesk's new owner Raki, but I can assure you that if she were to be chosen that you will without a doubt are going to be much, much more than satisfied.

Zebu would make an excellent owner for the lovely Fesk. She adores all of her pets, is a dedicated user on neopets, and is just plain a wonderful person to talk to. Zebu is the perfect blend of working hard and having fun. 8D I've seen how psyched she is about Fesk on our guild board, so I really hope she is chosen for her dream draik!

Congratulations! If you are reading this application, then your search for the owner for Fesk is over. You will not find a better owner for Fesk than Barking. Barking puts so much effort into every thing she does, and showers her pets with love and attention, and this application is only one example of this. Not only this, I'm certain that she will earn Fesk many trophies in all of the creative contests around neo, for she is not only one of the best artists I have met but she is also an excellent writer. Such a combination is hard to come by. Just look at her lutaris and see. It is for all these reasons that I believe you should seriously consider Barking when choosing the owner for Fesk. Also, this might be a bit selfish of me, but I want to finish the roleplay that is currently going on between Barking's Fesk and my own draik, Illiaqa! And after looking over Barking's application myself so many times, I'm not sure if I wouldn't be heartbroken myself if this wonderful character would not be allowed to come fully to life. I hope that what I've said might have made a difference, because Barking is one of the few people who truly deserve such a wonderful pet like Fesk.

Dear Raki,
You're very lucky to have Maya applying for Fesk, but any friend of a friend of a friend would support their.....friends. ^-^' So if a total stranger said that why would you believe them? Just read and find out. xD I met her not too long ago when we were applying for the same pet. It's amazing when you can find some nice competition, literally. Maya is an all around good person and puts forth a tremendous effort to impress. How many camoflauge (I can never spell that word o-o) draik designs do you see around neopia? Maya takes the most original ideas and breathes life into them as an artist. She's learned how to make her application great and continues to excel. I'm most likely going to bug her to roleplay, we had intentions to even before she applied. (= Please consider choosing her before you make your final decision, she deserves it.

I need to make a speech out of this reccomendation; Barking is one of my favorite artists on Neo for not the reason you think; She includes her very own unique style that I don't think anyone would critique meanly. I know I wouldn't. But reading her stories, poems, roleplays; It gives me a vision, and I know I could never have thought of any of it;

While these things could make you smile, there is nothing to loose when reading her cleverly thought up stories. Next to that is the art, and they fit together perfectly. I could't choose a better owner!! I could even continue writing and even a whole petpage about this, yes, write and write until it won't let me anymore.

Ono smiles. "The best way to contact Barking is through her main account, barkingzebu. She is online several times throughout the day, and would enjoy a lengthy neomail conversation. But if that isn't enough, she also has AIM and MSN. Feel free to message her anytime! She always enjoys a nice, friendly chat!"

Ono turns to you. You can see that he is really exhausted. All those long speeches must have tired the poor fellow out. "Phew," he sighs, "we've finally reached the end of this application. I'm sorry it took so long, but there was so much that needed to be said. I hope that you now have a fairly good idea of what kind of person Barking is, and what would be in store for Fesk if she were to get him. If you have any questions at all, or would like to get to know her more, feel free to neomail her. She's friendly and doesn't bite, and she really does like having normal conversations with other people.

You can be sure that, if Fesk came to live with Barking, he would have a very pleasant life, and would never be neglected. Quite the contrary: He would be showered with attention in many areas, petpage, BC, roleplay, maybe even in a pet spotlight. But even if she isn't chosen, I am sure you will find a fantastic new home for Fesk. Good luck on your search!

In these last few closing words, Barking would like to thank everyone who in some way contributed to this application, either with recommendations, fanarts, comments and critiques. She loves you for it!"
