Why, hello there! It seems you've found Pixeldust (formerly Pixel Perfect), my humble pixel site! I'm Annie, your pixeless - that is, one who creates pixels. My aim is to provide a reliable site that offers cute, unique and high-quality pixels and resources. I have a wide range of goodies that you can choose from, but if you can't find what you're looking for, you can request a pixel or scribble! Just as long as requests are open, of course ;3

What program do you use to create your pixels?
I mostly use MS Paint to make pixels but I recently installed GIMP and figured out how to make pixels transparent so any pixels made as of April 4 [EASTER♥] will be transparent!
How old are you?
Ermm....14, if you must know.
Why aren't your pixels transparent?? ARGGH!
The only way I can get access to Photoshop is on my sister's laptop! If you really wanted to make it transparent, you have my permission to edit the background ONLY. Please don't alter anything else!
Where is your scribbles section?
I'm still working on my scribbling skills. Once I master it, I'll put a whole section dedicated to scribbles! Muahahaha...
What's that about the custom layouts?
It's sort of complicated. If you want me to make you a pixel banner like the one I'm currently using, that's fine, but in order to achieve the look that I was trying to establish, I need to make the layout or use a premade from another site.
How do you get the fonts you use for your pixels?
It's actually really simple. Google dafont and click on the first link. If you're looking for a specific font, type it in the search bar and press 'Download'. Extract the file. Select 'Start' and go to Control Panel. Go to Appearance and Personalization and choose 'Fonts'. Go back to the extracted file window, copy, and paste when you open the 'Fonts' file. I'm really sorry if I confused you ;o; neomail me for further questions!
Can you teach me the basics of pixeling?
Sure! I'd be happy to. I'm still working on a pixel tutorial, but in the mean time I recommend using Kawaii Fridge's Pixel Tutorial.
Can I use a pixel/scribble in a layout?
Yes, I only ask that you credit me with a noticeable link. If I'm making you a scribble layout, do not edit my name out!
If I have multiple pixels from PP, do I have to credit all of them?
No; only one link is required. ;)
What made you want to create a pixel site?
I always adored pixels, so when I finally learned that I had a uh - 'talent' - for pixeling, I created Pixel Perfect and it turned out to be what it is today! ^-^
Why don't you have a Wall of Shame?
I don't have a soft spot for stealers. Will putting you on a 'WOS' really stop you from stealing? I believe the only effective way of taking care of this is giving you a fair warning. If you don't respond in 7 days, I will report you.
Can we be affiliates?
Well, I'm trying to limit the number of affies I have. I used to have more, but I deleted some that were 'low-quality'. Sorry if you were one of those DX. Your site must have 1500+ views and must be older than three weeks.
Can I be your neofriend?
Please refrain from sending random neofriend requests. Unless I know you personally/you're an affie or I'm really close to you on neo, then I will accept. Sorry, I just get severely creeped out whenever I get a random request.

Well, that's not really a question, but I'm willing to explain! Truth be told, I fail at coding and making my own layouts. If you've seen my previous one, you'd see why. Click and drag the screenie into your address:
Why do you have a pink layout? It's so unoriginal!
I think the color pink emphasizes the cuteness of my pixels. It sets the mood of my site, so I'm not changing it ;)
Looks, Personality, Hobbies
I'm semi-lit and totally obsessed with anime, hence my...erm, randomness. My friends would describe me as humorous, chatty, intelligent, artistic, and weird O-O (in a good way, of course ^^). I'm anime-obsessed and I enjoy reading if it's a decent book. (TWILIGHT STINKS) My favorite animes are fullmetal alchemist, bleach, code geass, pokemon, death note, and others. im a proud gamer and can probably pwn you at any game, you name it.

001) Choose a site name.
Mmkay, so everyone know's that your site name must be cute, creative, catchy, and must represent your site theme. For instance, if you were creating a food-themed pixel site, it should fall under something similar to 'Pixelicious'. Let's say you were sifting through links at Soroptimist and found two links that were right on top of each other: 15cheergurl's pixels and good eats. Which one would you click? My thought process would be...
15cheergurl's pixels sounds uncreative and unprofessional, while Good Eats sounds catchy and actually sounds like some THOUGHT was put into it. Therefore, I would click Good Eats.
Of course, everyone is free to make their own choices and I can't dictate what your site name is. You want to name is 15cheergurl's pixels? That's absolutely fine with me! Just say I warned ya ;).

002) Choose a pixel theme
Every pixel site has a theme, right? It's either food, neo-related, adoptables, or a little bit of everything! Er - Pixel Perfect is sort of all of those put together, if you never noticed. Once you have your site name, think of a theme to go with it. When you have chosen a theme, think of the pixels you'll have to create. Are they within your skill? Do you have what it takes to make them?
Along with choosing a theme, picture what your layout will look like. It's fine if you can't right now - something will pop into your head sooner or later. If you can't think of one, send me a neomail and include the site name you've chosen or thought up. I will gladly make the layout for you! Keep in mind that once you tell me the site name, everything else is up to me. Don't give me any other details besides the color scheme; it'll be a surprise! ;)
003) Making the layout
Now, I'm not much of an expert when it comes to making layouts or coding, but I love creating scribbles and pixels for layouts. I strongly advise that you go with a handmade rather than a premade. You may be staring at disbelief at my layout, having used a premade and all. Well, this is a TEMPORARY layout and I fail at coding DX. That's my excuse. What's yours?
Like I said, I'd be happy to make you a layout and everything. Read the paragraph above for details.
There are two types of layouts you may want to consider using: one column or two columns. Three columns are fine, but I think they're unnecessary for a pixel site. All sites must have some form of navigation so that a visitor can navigate without any difficulty. If you decide to use a two column [similar to mine :o], navigation should usually go in the smaller column. Below that, you're free to put anything: updates, link backs, counters, etc. Remember to have an attractive color scheme! Headers, titles should match [but they're not necessarily going to be the same color].
004) Maintaining your site
Like I mentioned earlier, I'm currently working on a pixel tutorial. If you're panicking about making them, relax! Help is on the way.
What good is your site if people only visit once and never come back? [I'm not trying to offend anyone ;o;] You need to step up and be creative! Request to be listed at lots of different directories. You may not have very many pixels, but keep in mind that quality is better than quantity. These are just a few tips for getting more views:
- try to update everyday so people know you're alive ;)
- if possible, do requests!
- get a counter
- quality over quantity
- don't steal [that's a no-brainer XD]
- have high quality affies. remember, affies are friends, not numbers!
- get a sister site
- change your site layout time to time
- get listed at Soroptimist!
- be polite to your visitors
- participate in contests and sotms
- ABOVE ALL, BE CREATIVE!!!
