Confused as to what the difference between a Neopet, Petpet, and a Petpetpet is? Well, you've come to the right place. My name is toowumba, and my owner and I thought that it would be nice if I cleared up these differences for confused Neopians out there. Firstly, Neopets are the on es that you can create via the 'create pet' button on the sidebar; i.e. me, a Gelert. Petpets are pets that you can buy from a shop in Neopia and give to your Neopets; e.g. my pet, a Spardel, tonga-toast. So, what is a petpetpet? In the FAQ on the site it says the petpetpets are:very small creatures that up until very recently we didn't know they existed. Many resemble bugs and insects. We do not really know what they do or where they come from, but they seem to like hopping on to petpets. Currently there are 35 different kinds of petpetpets that have been thoroughly studied, but two species seem to be almost nonexistent (See the species list below). Also, the on ly way to buy a petpetpet is from another neopian via the trading post or some are available in their shops. Neopets does not have a petpetpet shop and it doesn't sound like on e is on it's way. The other way to get on e is by a random event. The help section says, your petpet just picks them up on its travels.

The picture shown above is a Moach (magnified 200%). It displays the different part of the anatomy typical to a petpetpet. There are two main types of petpetpets, those with wings and those without wings. Moachs, it just so happens, do not have wings, but if they did the wings would be located right in the middle of the thorax (refer to the picture of a Vernax above). However, the other parts are all found on all species of petpetpet. The head is where food is taken in (though we are unsure exactly what all species like to indugle in), the throax is the main part of the body where the majority of organs are found, and the abdomen is the rear end of the petpetpet where excreation takes place.

Every Petpetpet must eat something. However, it is not always clear what each species likes to eat. I am positive that the Zytch likes to drink the blood of your Petpet and it seems that the Mootix likes to eat apples and other kinds of fruits. The Mozito also looks like it would be very capable of drinking your Petpet's blood and the Moach just might enjoy your floor boards in your Neohome rooms. As for the others it can on ly be assumed that they eat the same or, perhaps, other Petpetpets or organisms that are even smaller is stature than they are.
Even though Petpetpets are viewed as 'creepy crawlies' they can be fun to keep. In fact, in my opinion, they're kinda cute. You just need to make sure that they have ample living space and a good meal. Experiment with different types of meaty foods and see if your Petpetpet will accept any of it. Make sure they receive the right kind of nutrients also. For example, you want to make sure they get a lot of proteins and maybe slack off on the amount of phosphorous. If you keep them fed well enough maybe they won't be such a nuisance to your Petpet. If you have the room in your Neohome you might want to think about making a special place for your Petpetpet whether it be a nice walk-in-closet or maybe a special corner in your room apart from your Petpet. It is ket to remember too, that Petpets and Petpetpets don't always, necessarily, get along. You might want to keep them separated as much as possible so that your Petpet doesn't decide to make it dinner on e night. Regardless of what your Petpet may think of your newly found acquisition, Petpetpets can be fun to have around the house; even if it is just to tease your Petpet*.
*devillair13 in no way condones the illtreatment of Petpets. However, I believe it can be somewhat entertaining.
Ok, so these aren't exactly for petpetpets. They are actually for Petpets, but hey, they have Petpetpets on them! Oh! And these are just some of my favorites...there are lots more Petpetpet related items out there!
| Picture | Item Name | Cost (approx.) | Rarity |
 | Wind Up Cooty | 1500 NP | 77 |
 | Wind Up Zytch | 800 NP | 70 |
 | Springy Veespa Toy | 2300 NP | 76 |
 | Springy Mootix Toy | 1000 NP | 75 |
 | Breebly Petpet Bed | 2300 NP | 90 |
Q: Are there any items out there specificly for Petpetpets?
A: No, not at the moment. Honestly, there probably won't be either unless it's something for the Neogarden like a Veespa hive or something like that.
Q: How do you get a Petpetpet?
A: If you're asking this question now then I know that you didn't read everything here. But I'll recap for those of you that decide to throw away the instruction manual and allow your VCR to keep blinking 12:00. The on ly ways to get Petpetpets are by a random event or getting them from another player via the trading post or their shop.
Q: What do Petpetpets do?
A: Petpetpets don't really do anything. They do even less than your Petpet, but they're still cool to have I think.
Q: Do you have a Petpetpet?
A: I actually do have a Veespa now. Yay! =) tonga-toast isn't too happy about that, though.
Q: So how do you know so much about Petpetpets?
A: I've done a lot of studing on the matter and observation and searching the site.
Q: Ok, so how do I attach a Petpetpet to my Petpet?
A: Make sure that the Neopet's whose Petpet you want the Petpetpet attached to is active first. Then go to your inventory and keep refreshing. The best way to do this is hold down the 'F5' button. The other thing you might want to do is stock up your inventory with 49 other items that you don't care about so the pant devil won't be tempted to take your precious new Petpetpet.
Q: How do I get the Petpetpet related avatars?
A: I'm not going to give away any secrets here, but there is a Mootix and Moach avatar available (shown below, respectively).
Q: Do you have either of the avatars?
A: Yes, I have on e, the Moach avatar. =)
Q: I want to link to you, how can I?!
A: Just copy and paste the code next to the button you want to use. More coming soon!
