I was born a Red Zafara on the 6th day of Collecting, Y4 aboard the Virtupets Space Station and registered to a Neopian by the name of Neekko. Before me, the so-called Neekko had a spoiled Ixi named Taogehs, but she ran away from home when she woke up one day and found a hideous Koi in the mirror.
Then I came along. I was one of the many poor Neopets submitted to the Secret Laboratory Ray. Neekko encouraged my visits to the ray. She said I'd look better as a Darigan Zafara anyway. I guess being a Darigan would be way better than a common Red, so I went. The ray messed with my genes. I kept changing into a different color, specie, or even gender everyday of the week! For awihle I only changed colors, then the ray turned me into a Buzz and that was the end of my Zafara days (for awhile, at least). When my appearance didn't change, my stats did. I would get very strong on some days, then become very weak on other days. My defence would always remain low for some reason. It was really weird. Then came a day when the ray really messed me up...
It was a dark, foggy night in the Haunted Woods, like the night before, and the night before that, and the night before that. The Haunted Woods is always dark and foggy. I lay strapped to the cold, metal table under the ray in the Lab Ray Scientists laboratory, waiting for its master to return. The bright, full Neopian moon shone through the single, cracked window in the lab.
I've been going to the Lab Ray for quite awhile now, almost a year. I've gotten used to the constant changing of appearance. Once I turned into a snazzy Halloween Zafara, just in time for Halloween. A shame that color didn't last long, for I became a Christmas Zafara when the holiday was over. Maybe the ray was in a seasonal mood that time.
A shiver ran down my spikes as I heard the manic Scorchio return from his break. He burped loudly and grossly, as he had just finished eating a midnight snack of Almost Gummy Rats. Then his large, hypnotic eyes fell upon me and he sneered.
Welcome, my pretty," he hissed. "Welcome to the Lab.
He heavily made his way to the ray's control panel, his long, fat tail dragging noisily across the dusty concrete floor. His tail disturbed the dust and puffs of it hovered over the lab equipment, including the table I was lying on. The dust made my nose itch. I sneezed and he sneered again, followed by a high-pitched giggle.
It will be all over soon, my pretty," he crooned.
His yellow, scaly hands shook with excitement and he fumbled with the controls, adjusting the ray's angle and other things. Then he pressed a bright red button in the center of the panel and I heard the high whirring noise that always comes just before the ray fires at its victim. I squeezed my eyes shut and waited for the cold tingle I've always felt when the ray touched my fur.
 Say 'cheese!'" said the Scorchio.
Just then, a loud crashing noise sounded at the front door. I opened my eyes at the sound and twisted my neck so I could see what was going on. The Scorchio pressed the "Pause" button on the ray and turned to see who had interrupted his fun. There can another crash, and the flimsy wooden door splintered into a million pieces. My eyes widened in shock.
At the entrance stood a tall, Spotted Zafara with bright blue hair. He held an axe over his head, poised and ready to defend himself. His brilliant green eyes went from me strapped to the table to the confused Scorchio. Lighting struck the ground outside and for a split second the Zafara turned into a dark silhouette against the brightened sky.
Tokti!" said the Zafara. "We're going home!
What's my brother doing here?! I asked myself. He knew very well that I was always sent to the Lab Ray Scientist every night for treatment. It was apart of the agreement for being born in the Space Station. Sloths old goons that still live on the Space Station secretly provided the Lab Ray Scientist with all the guinea pigs he needed, I being one of them.
What are you doing here?!" I said aloud.
I'm taking you home, Tokti," replied my brother. "This isn't right, what they're doing to you.
Oh," I said. Figures. My brother has always imagined himself as some sort of hero, always going out to try to save the world. He also helped out old Neopians cross the street during morning traffic. It's a hobby of his, I guess.
Stay where you are, Lab Ray Scientist!" said Zev in a bold voice, like a superhero's. "I'm taking the girl!
He's crazy! I thought.
Go home, Zev! I'll come straight home.
Listen to sister," added the Scorchio, "and leave. Unless you want to join her. I will gladly squeeze you into my busy schedule." He pressed the red button again and the whirring sounded again. It won't be much longer...
NEVER!!! shrieked Zev, and flung the axe straight for the ray.
Unfortunately, his aim is as terrible as his sense of direction, and the axe hurtled toward me instead. I screamed.
 Oh my, oh my!" said the Scorchio.
I shut my eyes once more as the sharp blade drew closer and closer. This is it!
Just as the axe was about to hit me, the ray fired. I felt the tingling feeling surge through my entire body, but I didn't feel the blade hit me. That was because it didn't. I opened one eye and looked up. The axe was hovering right above me! It spun rapidly in the air, engulfed in the ray like my body. Then, as quickly as it came the tingling went away. The glowing stopped and the axe vanished. Where did it go?
The Scorchio stopped the ray and walked over to the table. "Ooooooooohhhh, interesting, interesting," he spoke to himself as he undid the straps. Hmm, he never said that before.
When I was free I slid off the table went to my brother. My tail felt strangely heavy, but it was probably because I changed species again, by the way Zev was staring at me.
What?" I asked. "What is it? How do I look? Am I ugly? Did I change into a Skeith?
Oh, man!" he said. "I'm so sorry, Tok. I didn't mean to.
He didn't mention anything about my looks, so it probably wasn't at all bad.
It's okay," I said as I patted him on the back. "You can't help your aim. I was just a bit scared when I saw it coming, that's all. I'm still a bit shaky, but I'll get over it. But the ray saved me. Where'd the axe go anyway. It just disappeared just after the ray fired.
Zev coughed and pointed at the tip of my tail. I looked at it and gasped. The axe was my tail! I raised it to eye level and stared at it.
Wow, will you look at that? I have an axe for a tail.
And that, my friends, is why I and sometimes seen with an axe for a tail. Now during battle, my tail is an axe, which serves as an extra weapon in the Battledome. When I'm not battling, it turns back into a normal tail. It's probably the best thing that the ray had ever done to me, besides raising my health points to well over a hundred. I continued going to the Lab after that, and no matter what specie I became, my tail would always remain the same. The axe had become a part of me permanently.
Finally, on the 9th day of Swimming, Y6, both my and Neekkos dream came true. Neekko was surfing around Neopia, bored as usual, when a Faerie suddenly appeared and gave her a Quest. But, it wasn't just any Faerie, it was the Fountain Faerie!!!
We were both so very happy to finally meet her in person! At the same we were also very sad because most of the time the Fountain Faerie would request for very expensive items, many of them way over our budget. But we were lucky! The Fountain Faerie was requesting for a Darigan Kougra Plushie (Hah, Darigan!), which at the time cost less than 15,000 Neopoints. We were so happy to find that it was a cheap item and sought one out right away. Andsean, a friend of Neekkos, helped us out by consulting the Shop Wizard for us. We rushed to the shop and bought the Plushie, then delivered it to the Fountain Faerie. She was delighted and granted us access to the Rainbow Fountain. However, we could only use the Fountain once, so she advised us to choose wisely. We had already decided what color I was going to be.
I believe that I was a male Halloween Moehog at the time, so Neekko withdrew from her Safety Deposit Box the Green Zafara Morphing Potion that she was saving for this special occassion. I drank the potion and turned back into the Green version of my original species, then took a dip in the Rainbow Fountain. I turned Darigan instantly. But there was still one problem: I was still a male. I was born a female and will always be female, but the ray had switched me to the opposite gender.
Now the problem was looking for a Strange Potion that someone was willing to give up. There were only about three out there that were for sale, and all of them were being sold at very high prices. Neekko had just enough Neopoints to buy the cheapest one, but the owner was being stingy and didn't accept her offer. Instead, she raised the price of the potion to a full million and was asking if anybody could top that price. It turned out that she was just seeing how much people were willing to spend to get their hands on her potion, which we thought was very unfair.
So I was stuck as a male for the next few days, then blue_bunny_ hopped by and gave us a tip. The Lab Ray Scorchio had made himself available as an opponent in the 1 Player Battledome and one of his attacks involved using the Strange Potion on his opponents. We decided to give it a go. The Lab Ray Scientist was way stronger that I was, and kicked my butt twice without once using the Strange Potion. We got frusttrated and when I was healthy enough, tried again. This time he used the potion, and Tadah!, I was female again! I lost the fight, but it was okay. The objective was to become female, not to win the battle.
Now that I am Darigan Zafara and a female, there wasn't really anything else to do, so that's why I'm now training at the Mystery Island Training School. Because the ray ruined my stats, I am training so that they are all at the same level. I want to be strong enough to kick Balthazars hairy behind!

I am 52725 hours old and my IQ is 17. I enjoy fighting in the Battledome and I train at the Mystery Island Training School. That's pretty much all I do ^^;

Battledome || Top
I love to battle in the Battledome! I battle in the 1 Player Battledome most of the time, but I also do pet battles too. If you want to challenge me, you can do so here. There are a few rules, though:
No Chia Flour (Neekko worked hard to paint me Darigan.)
No Hidden Tower Items (It's not fair to people who can't afford such items.)
Pet must have similar stats (Not too weak or not too strong.)
Please keep in mind that Neekko isn't always onlline to accept your challenges, so you may or may not get a response.

I am currently training at the Mystery Island Training School and I am always on the lookout for codestones. If you have any and would like to donate them to a good cause, you may send them to Neekko. Or you can help with our budget by purchasing items from Neekko's shop. Any codestones that I do not currently need with be put up for sale in her shop and the Neopoints will be used to by the proper codestones.

Little Devil the Red Tail || Top
  This is my Petpet, Little Devil the Redtail. He's a cute little thing, isn't he? He was rewarded to Neekko when she completed Brain Tree quest. I was the only one in my family without a Petpet, so she gave him to me. He doesn't talk much or do much. Most of the time he'll just sit there and stare at you. And soil his diaper, which I have to change daily. He bites a lot, especially when he's around strangers. He even bites me sometimes, but I still love him ^^ *hugs*
He's the last of his kind, believe it or not. Redtails don't exist anymore. On the 21st day of Collecting, Y4 all of the Redtails on Neopets had been deleted and replaced with Candy Vampires. However, only the Redtails in safety deposit boxes, shops, auctions, and trades were changed. The Redtails that were attached to Neopets hadn't been changed. Little Devil was one of them. I received him only a few days before the change, so he was really lucky to have survived.

My second Neopian Times comic appearance. This one appeared during Week 87. This was when I was still in the early stages of the Lab Ray and I was still a Red Zafara. That clown was actually scary, not funny o_O

My third Neopian Times comic appearance. This one appeared during Week 93. Neekkos from Hawaii, so we decided to do a little comic on hula dancing. Don't I look adorable in my hula outfit?

My third Neopian Times comic appearance. This one appeared during Week 96. It's another Hawaii comic. This time we're confusing the two meanings of the word "aloha," which means both "hello" andgood-bye" in Hawaiian.

My fourth Neopian Times, which didn't occur until 49 weeks later, during Week 145. This time I appear in my mutated Lab Ray form, complete with axe tail. So it's true what they say. The camera does add on a few extra pounds! Heh... Poor Evil and Oy...

 My second oldest brother, EvilLittleThing1 the Island Acara. He's a bookworm and used to be Neekkos Battledome pet/Laboratory Ray pet before I arrived. Now he's retired from battling and is now keen on making it into the top three overall in the Beauty Contest. He got very close once and made it to 6th overall. If you'd like to help make Evils dream come true and support him, you can vote for him (when he's in the Beauty Contest) here.

 Oy35 is the eldest of my three brothers. He's Neekkos very first Neopet. He's a Mutant Korbat and was also the first in the family to be painted. I don't know too much about him because I rarely see him come out of his room. Zev says he's a vampire. I don't know if it's true or not because I've never asked him. The only time he comes out of his room is when he's hungry and he usually keeps to himself. His Petpet, Beebee is more lively than him, that's for sure.

 This is my brother Zev727. He's a Zafara, like me, except he's a Ghost. He used to be a Spotted Zafara, but something very unfortunate happened to him one day when he accidentally stepped into Eliv Thades castle (He was supposed to be at the mall looking for Evil and Blue, but the guy has no sense of direction, nor does his Petpet Airax, Fawkes.). He's got a big crush on the Zafara Assassin, the main character from a series of stories in the Neopian Times.

 Gary is my Red Bori cousin. His real name is Gharuhan, but he thinks it's a dumb name and is very self-concious about it, so we all just call him Gary. He claims to be part Uni, which explains the strange--and might I add, poisonous--horn on his head. He's the only Neopet of Neekko's who isn't going to be painted. He likes being Red, although he is planning on painting his Baby Fireball, Calcifer, Blue when he has enough Neopoints.

 Arvin_McCracker is the strangest Acara you will ever meet. Although there are no official records of him entering the Beauty Contest, he is probably the vainest pet of them all, even more vain than my brother, Evil. He's so vain he named his Petpet after himself, Arvin McCracker, Jr. the Droolik. He had just recently painted himself Split. With that bowtie of his, he'll look like a used car salesman, don't you think?

 Narugys a cousin of mine. He's named after one of Neekkos book characters, Narugi Sharpshooter. He can get very grumpy sometimes and some say his breath smells of garbage, though I don't really know if it's true because I haven't checked for myself o_O;

 Kyriients my other cousin and Narugys half-brother. I haven't really met him because Neekko lost access to his account a long time ago. She forgot how to login to it and can't do anything about it because she registered that account with her now nonexistent e-mail. Oh well. He'll always be in our memories forever.

 Tokti160 is a young Zafara I met awhile back. I found it odd to see she had the same name as me. Turns out, she's my shadow, or something like a follower. It seems like she idolizes me and wants to be just like me when she grows up. She's even got a battle axe, kinda like how my tail is sometimes an axe. It's great to have devoted fans out there, I guess ^^
Oh, and her favorite food is Chias.

 Daisuke_the_fallen1 is a strange Zafara I often see lurking around. I think he's following me. They say he's an immortal and that he used to be really evil. Hmm, he doesn't seem very evil to me. There's also this really scary Zafara called Okuretashi who looks almost like him. Now that guy looks evil, unlike Daisuke. His evil twin, perhaps? I was told by Neekko that Daisuke likes me. I wonder if it's true?
