Also, if she were a shojo character, she would have had a passionate love of singing since she was little, and a life long dream to be the next Celine Dion. So, not only would she ultimately have to choose between Edward and Jake (some choice)... she would also have to choose whether or not to pursue her life long dream of singing.

~* Hahaha. Actually, Edward is pretty close to... if not exactly... what he would be if it were a shojo manga, with one obvious difference.

OBVIOUSLY, it would eventually come out that he is actually a long lost prince from England. Or France. It really doesn't matter where. But he would be royalty, on top of his other utter perfections.

~* If Edward is the Prince Yuki in this story, then Jacob must be the Kyo. ((Ignoring, of course, that Tohru ultimately ends up with Kyo. If you don't know what I'm talking about, go read Fruits Basket. Now.))

Basically, Jacob would be more of a tough guy, sk8er dude, who still has a sweet and caramel-y inside and a heart of gold. He also would be Bella's life long friend, as in they were practically childhood sweet hearts.

For those of you glaring at the screen, you know it's true.

~* Yes. You see correctly. If Twilight were a shojo manga, Bella would have a cat. Possibly one that could talk. So there!!

~* James, for the little time he was alive, would manage to lure Bella to the dance studio, taunt and mock and threaten her in front of a rolling camera, and would be just about to toss her across the room... only to realize he was in love with her, too. And would be unable to hurt Bella in any way. That would be about the point where Edward and the others would burst in, and Edward would kill him. Quickly.

~* Now, for the record, if Twilight were a shojo manga, I will like to say here and now that Alice would not change in any way, shape, or form. She's awesome.

I WOULD like to say this: Am I the only one who seems to think that Alice would be the petite, overly bouncy and optimistic character that is required for every classic shojo in existance? (( For reference: see Momiji of Fruits Basket, Rini of Sailor Moon, Chidori of Ceres, Mokona of Tsubasa/xXxHolic... This list goes on and on.))

~* ... All I can say is, she would be more avidly persuing Edward, after having a good relationship with Bella. Bella dating Edward would tear there before-close relationship to shreds, turning Jessica on her once dear friend with an animosity akin to rabid wolves. :D No werewolf pun intended.

~* Just would like to take a moment to say, that in this scenario, Sam is TOTALLY the dark hero. :D

~* This is a less obvious distinction, so I shall try to explain slowly. Ahem.

If Victoria was the antagonist in the Twiligh shojo, we would not be aware that is was *her* trying to kill Bella until the very last second. As in, Edward and Bella are nearby the tent and then BOOM.

Victoria: Hi, guys! Ready to die, Bella?
Bella: *gasp* Victoria!
Edward: Wow! This is a total surprise that any mildly perceptive reader could predict from a book and a half away, but I am truly shocked to see you here!
Victoria: I know. I'm so sneaky with my obvious motives for revenge and vicious nature, aren't I?
Bella: *cries* I am hurt! Does this mean you won't be my best friend, Viccy?
Victoria: No. Die!
Edward: *kills Victoria*
