Oh my... Is it true? Rumour has it that some of the Gixling eggs have already hatched! That was quick!

A big thanks to the scientists and loving Neopian who have helped our research!

The generation II gixlings have made their way onto the new Gixling petpage!

It seems some of the eggs we have found have a Christmas, Valentines' Day or Easter pattern - I wonder if that means anything?

Feel free to take a look around and don't forget to take home a gixling egg, as we can use all the help in discovering more about these lovely little gixlings as we can!

Good news! Our in-the-field reporters have, well, reported that Gixes actually come from eggs!

We are looking for kind Neopians to take these eggs home and keep them warm and cosy, so that they will (hopefully) hatch to a new gix very soon!

Welcome to the Gixling petpage! ^-^*

A couple of years ago, I started The Gix Network (TGN).

It was hosted on a different petpage under a different name and it did not have as many adoptables as it has today, but the essence was the same: it was home to the gix adoptables.

The adoptables aged and so did I, and thus we grew apart. The gixes remained on their petpage, ready to be adopted, but no new gixes were discovered anymore.

Now, after a long and refreshing break away from adoptable making, I decided to restart TGN. It was time for a new start, and with a new start come... new adoptables.

The Gix Network and the first generation gix adoptables can be found on the original petpage. The background story and the biological characteristics of the generation II gixes can be the gixology.

If you are ready to adopt a Gix (or at least a Gixling Egg for the time being), visit the adoption page - but make sure to find out how to adopt them first!

If you have a Gixling Egg / Gixling / Gix in mind that is not available yet, why not check out our request page and who knows, requests may be open and the gix of your dreams may be born...

And for site inquiries and contact information, you should click your way through to the sitely page.

We certainly hope you enjoy your stay on the brand new Gixling petpage!

gixology

evolution

Until recently, it was believed that gixes were just there. Scientists had never found any evidence of gixes falling in love, having eggs or growing older.

With the discovery of the gix eggs, however, scientists now claim to have found an evolutionary pattern in gixology: three life stages for these little creatures.

They are now conducting further research on these life stages, but please read on for the information we do have already.

eggs

Scientists recently discovered that gixes are born from eggs. They believe so because they have found a particular gix sitting on an egg half the size as the gix itself. It was treating it very gently, with love and care.

After further examination (read: they followed around the gixes for three weeks and five days) they discovered the gix nest. Appalled by the sudden appearance of human beings, the inhabitants of this nest had all fled, leaving behind their eggs, their houses, their food - everything.

One of the scientists claims to have caught a glimpse of a new form of gix. One more developed from the kind we know. Unfortunately, he was unable to grab his camera in time and take a snapshot.

The scientists have brought home the eggs they found, in hopes of these eggs hatching into gixes. But they need the help of kind Neopians who are willing to take these eggs back to their Neohome (or their lookup, their shop, their petpage, or anywhere else for that matter) and keep them warm and cozy so that they, hopefully, will hatch sooner.

Are you up for the task?

gixlings

Erm - the scientists don't have any information on these gixlings yet; why not take home an egg and help them with their research?

policy

use of adoptables

The adoptables listed on Gixling and The Gix Network are free to be used by anyone. You can adopt as many as you want and put them wherever you want (both on Neopets and offsite) but do NOT remove the link back.

These adoptables are made by lydocia | design neopets. Do not claim these as your own. Theft will be reported, and yes - TNT do take action. This is a friendly warning, just don't do it and you'll be fine.

affiliates

reasoning

Due to bad experiences with affiliates(*) I usually do not engage in the entire affiliates / sister site business. I am reconsidering this view, but for the time being, requests are closed.

(*) Long story short: I had a so-called "sister site" once for my old Neopets Premium guide; the petpage owner decided to quit, but not without leaving a nice little goodbye letter behind. They put up a truckload of inappropriate content on their petpage, and because I linked to it and encouraged my visitors to go there, I got warned for it as well. Is it noT understandable I am hesitant towards linking to others in the same way? I do believe so.

Rules

I am still thinking up rules for affiliates. Neomail what you think would be a good affiliate.

1. I must personally like your petpage.
I am sorry, but I will not link to a petpage I hold a grudge against.

2. At the moment, adoptables only.
I don't think they will send you to a wallpaper store in the bakery, so there's no need to send people looking for adoptables to a petpage with a pile of dung collectors directory.

The affiliates

These are the wonderful petpages I deemed worthy of being affiliates! Make sure you check them out!

None yet. :(
