RADIOHEAD
Forever In Stereo
Hiya. I'm Radiohead, yep, just Radiohead. I don't have a last name nor a first, so I just go by what I have. My friends gave me my name because I always wear a pair of silver headphones around my neck, blasting 70s music even though I can't hear it. That's right, I'm deaf. My buddy Erik told me my new name (I used to introduce myself as Zero by hold up my hand in the shape of an "O") by scrawling it on an crumpled piece of paper. Luckily I've learned sign language so that helps me get by. I can't say my name either, which also makes me mute. Sure, it can be a hassle sometimes but I get through life quite fine.
I'm an orphan and have been for seventeen years, which is my whole life. I don't mind not knowing who my parents are--were--whatever form that should be in. I'm not sure what country I'm from, so I tell everyone I'm British, and if they ask where I tell them London. I usually sleep in alleys and draw pictures on the sidewalk with chalk to pass the time. I only have one pair of clothes: an old brown vest, a gray hoodie, a wolf shirt, and a pair of green-brown corduroys with worn-torn knees. I used to have a pair of black high top Converse but those wore out quick. I found a gray cat in an alley one day and I named her Elli, although she only seems to visit me when I find some left-over sea food for her. I often go dumpster diving to find some gizmos and gadgets, and sometimes I stumble upon treasures. One time I came back with an old, beaten guitar--imagine that! It was missing a few strings but I replaced them with fishing line and now she works just fine. I showed Erik, but he just doesn't seem to understand me. See, Erik has a family now, he got adopted last spring. We used to be alley buddies, having adventures and making contraptions out of spare parts we would find, but now that he's on the other side of the fence, he just doesn't understand. Once Erik's new parents found out I was living off of restaurant left-overs in alleyways, they acted quick and practically drop-kicked me to this place called Northwood Academy. Now I'm not going to lie, that place is frightening. There are so many people... and creatures! I had never seen one before so it quite scared me. Yet I feel at home, because, well, I'm not exactly normal myself. I have this little power-thingy that I call shadow shifting. It's simple really--the whole idea on how it works. I just concentrate and, well, I can move the shadow of just about anything. Usually I like to scare people who pass-by my alley, making their shadow start to do the oddest things. They run away pretty quick. My record is ten seconds. I don't look like everyone else, besides the fact I have dull lilac eyes and chocolate brown hair, I also have three piercings. I have a purple stud through the center of my tongue, a black ring through my right eyebrow, and gray cartilage bars in both of my ears. I think I look quite dandy if you ask me. I live in a dreamy world.x. |
