Tex padded out the door as soon as Nixain and Tamgen had submerged themselves in reminiscence and were chatting about old times and new events. He walked down the narrow path, vaguely moving in the direction of the city. Too busy to look where he was headed, he mulled over some of the facts they'd recovered from the lab on Terror Mountain. Apparently, that facility hadn't been used for as long as anyone could remember, but Tex knew for sure that all of the evidence they had pointed to that place as the origin of his and Nixain's abnormalities. There had been testing there, the lab equipment and old records proved that, but if Nixain knew anything he wasn't telling - much to Tex's frustration - and all of the subjects were numbered, so Tex had no idea where to even start looking for information.
Amazing, is it not," a familiar voice drawled in Tex's ear. He looked to his left. Sitting on the hard pavement beside him was Bane's shimmering form. Tex was also not sure whether Bane read his thoughts or not, though sometimes it seemed that way.
